I'm told my appetite will adjust in time, but it's irritating nonetheless.
Diet. Specifically, attempting to seriously reduce intake, overall. I've noted an unfortunate habit of overeating then feeling stuffed for the next few hours... often starting to feel hungry again as time for the next meal rolled around before I felt not-full again.
Going to see how well I do just reducing how much I eat overall before fiddling around with specific content.
Also attempting to get more active, going on walks more often. At least, when weather allows. Using the little bike-pedal stand thing I have for days when I can't, so I have something to do at least.

Cutting portions is a good way to start. If you have a big meal in front of you, think about how you can save half of it for another meal to save on costs, and you will find yourself eating half as much.

...and I just found out that some people at a group chat I got into wanted me kicked out from it. Always nice to hear about people hating me.
The fact that the mod running said group chat called them out on it doesn't exactly cheer me up, considering said people who wanted me out have decided not to show their faces.

What I've done since I got my new bike is to always go one shop further away when I'm buying food. Based on the number of holes in the belt I can use, it seems to be working. (Wishing I could do the same with books, but that'd involve biking on the motorway - over the 4th or 5th longest bridge in the country.)

Biking isn't really a realistic option for me - there's no sidewalks to bike on where I live, and where there are (mostly downtown or around the malls) there's usually "no bikes on sideways" signs posted. And I dislike bikes being on the road - as a biker I find it too dangerous to be that close to vehicles, and as a driver I find them getting in the way and making a hazard of themselves due to being unable to properly keep up with traffic.
Also I don't have one >_>

Hello, FaWTLies! I'm going to try to catch up on the batch of posts I've missed over the weekend (and then some).
The convention was fun. I got to run Big Dragon/Little Troubleshooters (where the players get to play drake characters) for the first time, and I received some great feedback from everyone, who also seemed to enjoy the adventure. I racked up a little bit of freelance work, and I got a preliminary invitation to do a signing at a store 3 hours away from where I live.
I hope you are all doing well!

if you get on a bike and have no idea how to handle automotive traffic, consider going off road. If you get behind the wheel of a car have no idea how to handle non automotives that appear on the road, it may be time for defensive driving classes. There was a defensive driving class an old friend of mine online who lived out in amish country took so she could be ready for horses and carriages being on the road, i always felt that something similar should be institued for bikes and other unusual vehicles.

Non-functioning bikes suck! Sympathies.

I know how to handle them. I just don't like having to do so.
I personally think anything that can't keep up with traffic should be off the road. But the lawmakers seem to think otherwise, given the commonplaceness of "no bikes on sidewalks" laws.

Geez, sorry CH! I did NOT expect that little menace to be able to shoot you through his buddy.
Heh. That's fine. 1st level wizards are squishy and make easy targets.
While it seems likely Araxus while survive the ordeal, if he does not it would be an opportunity to build a PC that would give the party some desparately-needed melee support. (With all respect to the wonder-halfling.)

I personally think the old "keeping up with traffic" card overplayed, but at least for now the law is on my side.

You will have recruitable melee support later, but for now, you're on your own. Still, it can be nice not to have a bunch of NPC's trailing along.
In the words of a wise wabbit, he who acts last often doesn't act again.
Stupid flat-footed AC!
What the,...?!?

Yet another thing we'll never agree on, I suppose. (Also, it's always funny to see something like a phrase or comment I tend to use referred to as "a talking point" or "an overplayed card" when nine times out of ten it's something I thought I'd invented or come up with on my own and never heard nearly anyone else say who didn't get it from me.)
Thankfully it's not a major issue where I live now, like it was in Phoenix. (You'd think Phoenix would have less bike-riders with the heat...) Most streets in Chatt, outside of downtown, don't have bike lanes or even shoulders. (That was the word I was looking for earlier and couldn't remember.) And I never go downtown because even without the bikes the traffic is insane. So seeing a bike on the road - or anywhere really - is a rare event.

My issues with bikes on the road isn't that they can't keep up with traffic, it's that they don't obey the traffic laws. We have lots of bike lanes here so it's not really a big deal in most areas, but the roads that don't have them or downtown with the bikes zipping around not obeying traffic lights....it's really dangerous. That I have issue with.
And of course the ones who ride at night in dark colors without putting any lights or anything on their bikes....

I always obey traffic laws unless it is foolish or dangerous to do so. Around here its better to treat lights like all way stop signs instead of what they are-people turning will get you killed, and the law will(probably) be on their side when they do. I prefer stem lights to handlebar lights- much brighter and attractive and easier to pick out over floating points of light you won't realize are a cyclist until it's almost too late.

I like bike riding, but I do it for exercise. I am lucky we have an old rail line that has been repurposed as a bike trail. 22 miles up and back of wonderful scenery (if anyone has ever seen my FB pictures) and not a car in sight. I will not ride my bike on the road around here. I wish to live, and tourists+bikes=death. Also, tourists ON bikes=road hazard. I especially hate these swarms of full-body-lycra-suited tourist yahoos that want to ride side by side on a busy road and give you the stink eye should you pass. Heads up Lance Smellstrong, you don't own the road, not even a bit.

no problem with highly visible lycra. Huge problem with side by side riding. Unless the road is closed for an event/race, keep it single file so others can pass.
