You said it, brother.

Fair to middlin.
Wife has a tentative job offer that may have us in Houston by next March, with moving expenses paid if it all works out. So we're keeping our fingers crossed.
If Houston does happen, it'll strengthen the chances that I'll have to find a way down that direction and raise hell.
Miss you guys.

Adjusting Opera interface is a pain in the lower backside. What are you using to remove Google Chrome before re-installing it? That may be part and parcel your problem.Probably the problem lies with the system profile or something like that. The windows settings were reset when I started the computer and Google Chrome directory was nowhere to be found. And when I turned the computer again when I returned home, the windows settings and Opera settings (I haven't done much beyond changing those) reset as if the computer restored windows from last backup (or what's-its-name).
At the moment I started asking friends if they don't have spare parts so I could assemble a new "old reserve computer" which would also happen to be my gaming computer.
If I manage to assemble anything remotely working I might give Windows 8 free version try (assuming it can be still downloaded for free). Or ask friends for some noob-friendly Linux version.
I'd recommend using a program like Revo Uninstaller to remove all traces of Google Chrome, reboot your system, and then re-install it and see if it starts working again.
The free version is sufficient for your needs.

You've obviously visited one before by that remark. I'll bet it's during your second job.

I doubt it would work - it's seems to be general problem with windows registers - maybe undetected virus, maybe just the crap that gathered through the years and passed the critical mass threshold now. Currently I only turn on the other computer only to play Avengers on facebook anyway.

No, I knew of it before the second job - - its one of the first hentai I know of. The Wikipedia entry gives it a VERY bad introduction, but check it out.

Oh, you haven't had time to get things lined up for the project in the last 3 months? The project that is due in 3 weeks?
Yeah, I can pick that up for you. I don't have anything on my plate right now, with the new job, 2 new team members, no one that I can delegate to, and year end arrangements hitting the fan. Sure. I'm happy to help.
Oh, I have to head to LA to do that? And still keep things moving here? Sure, no problem.
The above statement does not necessarily reflect the views of the writer. (But it does.) Any resemblance to a sane person is completely coincidental.

He was referring to Lemon Party.
Given the abundance of gay porn on the net, I have no idea how that particular image became a shock-site meme. It's positively tame, apart from the fact that the guys are old. (But then, there's a whole genre of "mature" porn out there, gay and straight, which I am sure could have yielded more shocking photos than that one...)

I am having a good afternoon. I got a 100 on my C++ quiz, finally figured out how to make an input file actually, you know, provide input (visual studio was saying the file was in one location and it was actually in another location....was a big mess), had a delicious pumpkin scone for snack and sobe waters were on sale. :)

You ought to be ashamed.
5-hour energy and/or Red Bull would be much more effective.

...I had the creative director of Paizo ask what I'd like as a prize and didn't ask if I could have some of the stuff I came up with for Wayfinder make it into canon. DAMNIT!!

Driving in to work this morning I was listening to the radio. They had the "Question from Hell". The guy who called in and answered correctly said he worked at the Navy Yard - same place I work. He also said his name was Jim. I thought it might be my co-worker, since he's usually in by that time.
Sadly, it was not him.
