Alchemist, Feral Mutagen, Enlarge Person and Barbarian

Rules Questions

Am I correct in saying that an Alchemist 2/Barbarian 1 could have the following attacking stats:

with STR 18, Enlarge Person, Feral Mutagen and while raging:

2x Claw +10 (1d8+9)
Bite +10 (2d6+9)

That's at level 3, without the cleric casting Bull Strength...

Did I miss something?

Sounds a lot?

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 4

Melee 2 Claws +10 (1d8+9/ x2) and bite +10 (2d6/ x2)

Attack Bonus: +2 BAB, +4 base Str, +1 EP Str, +2 mutagen Str, +2 rage Str, -1 size.

Damage: +4 base Str, +1 EP Str, +2 mutagen Str, +2 rage Str
All attacks are natural and primary, so benefit from full strength modifier. Dice progression is 1d6 > 1d8 > 2d6.

Looks right to me. Pretty powerful for level 3, but you are blowing your wad for one encounter and if the enemy is mobile you won't be too powerful. I bet you'd like my idea for an alchemist archtype (Mutagenist).

Yeah, it's pretty nice. I'm not sure about your specific numbers, but just eyeballing it they appear correct.

Multi-classing always provides the biggest benefit immediately after you do it. The downside is as you level up everything is delayed. So Fast bombs, Master Chymst, the next level of extracts, etc are all delayed.

Also, keep in mind barbarian's rage is rounds/ day, highly limited. Mutagen is longer but also finite. Enlarge person is X/ day or 50gp/ shot (or wand pricing).
