Dragon Body and Necromancy

Advice

I came in the possession of an adult green dragon corpse after it ran into my sword a few times and cannot think of anything to do with it. Casting animate dead on it seems like a waste and I am not sure that create undead / greater create undead would work on a non-humanoid corpse. Anyone have any fun idea what to do with the corpse?

I think they would. The Target entry doesn't specify a creature type.

You could, perhaps, reincarnate it as a different form of dragon - not necessarily one of the true dragon races.

You could use its skull (and maybe some of the internal organs necessary to produce its breath weapon) and/or wings to add some extra kick to a flesh golem or similar construct.

Cast animate object to throw off all those pesky clerics and paladins.

Liberty's Edge

Use one wing to make magical war drums
one wing to make the snazziest cloak you can make
use half the bones to create a mouth on legs as a personal undead mount
Use the rest of the bones (ribs, wing bones, spine) to make a sentient undead floating shield
Use the organs and blood as building bits for magically enhanced weapons and jewelry
And use the scales to make a magical card deck, a powerful set of chains, and grind some into powder to use as kobold mind control powder and start a personal army.

Disclaimer: Some assembly may be required, DM may slap you for some of these suggestions, I take no responsibility for DM slappage.

Take the hide for constructing fantastic armor that you could wear or sell.

I would check for eggs, perhaps it was pregnant?
