Born in a sorry cot, left on the stairs of the cold stone;
Damned to be scorned, in darkness, damned to be alone;
Taken by the Church, his soul will be slave of God;
In the belfry's beauty is his figure something odd.

We see the hunchback in Notre Dame
Dancing on the tallest towers

Arcades and spires, filling his heart,
Deep like the choir, fine like the art
Is the place my cell, is it?
Is God's home my hell?
Oh, my body prisions my poor soul,
Until I toll!

I am grim, full of gloom
In my dim gothic tomb
But the bells in my heart chime for ever
With the ding that belongs
To the king of their songs
I'm the sound of Notre Dame

In the Wheel of Life he is a horror for the crowd,
When will be the time he'll see the sun between the clouds?
Looking at the bells he thinks about his tragic fate
Wants to be a rock or metal like his souless mates

We hear the hunchback in Notre Dame
Crying on the tallest towers

Gargoyles and columns, his relity;
Chants wich are solemn, his agony
Is this place my cell, is it?
Is God's home my hell?
Oh, my body imprisons my poor soul
Until i toll!

I am grim, full of gloom
In my dim gothic tomb
But the bells in my heart chime for ever
With the ding that belongs
To the king of their songs
I'm the sound of Notre Dame

Canadian Idiot
By "Weird Al" Yankovic
Don't want to be a Canadian idiot
Don't want to be some beer swillin' hockey nut
And do I look like some frost bitten hosehead
I never learned my alphabet from A to zed
They all live on donuts and moose meat
And they leave the house without packin' heat
Never even bring their guns to the mall
And you know what else is too funny
Their stupid monopoly money
Can't take 'em seriously at all
Well maple syrup and snow's what they export
They treat curling just like it's a real sport
They think their silly accent is so cute
Can't understand a thing they're talking aboot
Sure they got their national health care
Cheaper meds, low crime rates and clean air
Then again well they got Celine Dion
Eat their weight in Kraft macaroni
And dream of driving a Zamboni
All over Saskatchewan
Don't want to be a Canadian idiot
We'll figure out their temperature in Celsius
See the map they're hovering right over us
Tell you the truth it makes me kinda nervous
Always hear the same kind of story
Break your nose and they'll just say sorry
Tell me what kind of freaks are that polite
It's gotta mean they're all up to something
So quick before they see it coming
Time for a pre-emptive strike

Turn around, kid.
It'd be a crime
If I had to go back on the promise that I made for you,
So don't step over that line;
Or else, friend, you're gonna have a bad time.

But kids like you don't play by the rules.
Guys like me? It ain't easy to be played for fools.
So let's go, let the room get chiller.
Let's go, dirty brother-killer.

Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able,
'Cause you figure now that mercy's off the table.
I can tell you're getting really sick of trying,
But I think you're just mad you keep dying.

You're not gonna win, we'll be here together
Fighting in this judgment hall forever.
I know you'll just reset each time I beat ya,
But I'll always be right back here to meet ya.

I know you're made
O-o-o-o-of
LO-O-O-O-OVE
LO-O-O-O-OVE

O-o-o-o-of
LO-O-O-O-OVE
LO-O-O-O-OVE

This is where it stops. This is where it ends.
If you want to get past me, well you'd better try again.
But no matter how I stall you, you don't give up your attack.
Do you just like the feeling of your sins crawling on your back?

Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able.
You should know by now that mercy's off the table.
You think that you can try to spare me like I'm some pawn?
Well you didn't spare my brother, so get dunked on!

I know you made my friends all disappear.
Everything they cared about is why I'm here.
I am their mercy.
I am their vengeance.
I am determination.

I know you're made
O-o-o-o-of
LO-O-O-O-OVE
LO-O-O-O-OVE
But I think I'm stronger than you.

Scarab Sages

Grinning down through the gates
Watch the night suffocate
All the light as it smothers the sun
I can tell by the moon
You'll be joining me soon
As a guest in my fortress of fun!

And I can't wait to see you
And once again free you
Released from your humourless air
Someday I will replace
That big frown on your face
With a smile and a murderous glare!

We are two of a kind
Violent, unsound of mind
You're the yin to my yang, can't you see?
And if I were to leave
You would grumble and grieve
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!

You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!

I'm just trying to show you
Just how well I know you
I understand just how you feel
Threw your reason away
'Cause you had one bad day
And your mind let go of the wheel!

Still we're fated to battle
You pout and I prattle
Don't you ever tire of this game?
But you'll not make it end
'Cause I'm your only friend
We are opposites but we're the same!

We are two of a kind
Violent, unsound of mind
You're the yin to my yang, can't you see?
And if I were to leave
You would grumble and grieve
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!

You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!

We have so many wonderful stories
I have studied the mind of this bat
A hero with no praise or glory
Just his cape and his cave and his...
Meow!!!

AAHHHAHAHAHOOOOHOHOHHAHAH!

We are two of a kind
Violent, unsound of mind
You're the yin to my yang, can't you see?
And if I were to leave
You would grumble and grieve
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!

You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
You'd be lost (You'd be lost)
Face it, Bats...
You'd be lost without me!!!

Scarab Sages

We don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee;
We don't take no trips on LSD
We don't burn no draft cards down on Main Street;
We like livin' right, and bein' free.

I'm proud to be an Okie from Muskogee,
A place where even squares can have a ball
We still wave Old Glory down at the courthouse,
And white lightnin's still the biggest thrill of all

We don't make a party out of lovin';
We like holdin' hands and pitchin' woo;
We don't let our hair grow long and shaggy,
Like the hippies out in San Francisco do.

And I'm proud to be an Okie from Muskogee,
A place where even squares can have a ball.
We still wave Old Glory down at the courthouse,
And white lightnin's still the biggest thrill of all.

Leather boots are still in style for manly footwear;
Beads and Roman sandals won't be seen.
Football's still the roughest thing on campus,
And the kids here still respect the college dean.

We still wave Old Glory down at the courthouse,
In Muskogee, Oklahoma, USA.

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit lonely
And you're never coming round

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit tired
Of listening to the sound of my tears

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit nervous
That the best of all the years have gone by

(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit terrified
And then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then
I fall apart

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit restless
And I dream of something wild
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit helpless
And I'm lying like a child in your arms
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit angry
And I know I've got to get out and cry
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I get a little bit terrified
But then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then
I fall apart
Turn around, bright eyes
Every now and then
I fall apart

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
(All of the time)
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
(Forever's gonna start tonight)

Once upon a time
I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart

Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

[Instrumental Interlude]

(Turn Around, bright eyes)
(Turn Around, bright eyes)

(Turn around)
Every now and then
I know you'll never be the boy
You always wanted to be
(Turn around)
But every now and then
I know you'll always be the only boy
Who wanted me the way that I am
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I know there's no one in the universe
As magical and wondrous as you
(Turn around)
Every now and then
I know there's nothing any better
There's nothing that I just wouldn't do
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn Around, bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
(All of the time)
I don't know what to do
I'm always in the dark
Living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
(Forever's gonna start tonight)

Once upon a time I was
I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart

Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

A total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart

Baby Grace is the victim
She was 14 years of age
And the wheels are turning, turning
For the finger points at me
All's well
But I have not been to Oxford Town
All's well
No I have not been to Oxford Town

[CHORUS]
Toll the bell
Pay the private eye
All's well
20th century dies

And the prison priests are decent
My attorney seems sincere
I fear my days are numbered
Lord get me out of here
All's well
But I have not been to Oxford Town
All's well
But I have not been to Oxford Town

[CHORUS]
This is your shadow on my wall
This is my flesh and blood
This is what I could've been

And the wheels are turning and turning
As the 20th century dies

If I had not ripped the fabric
If time had not stood still
If I had not met Ramona
If I'd only paid my bill
All's well
But I have not been to Oxford Town
All's well
But I have not been to Oxford Town

[CHORUS]
This is my bunk with two sheets
This is my food though foul
This is what I could have been

The lyrics performed by Mika Seeger are as follows:
Great green globs of greasy, grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat.
Dirty little birdie feet.
French fried eyeballs swimming in a pool of blood
And me without my spoon.

Texas Version
Great green globs of greasy, grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat.
Petrified piggy's feet
and I forgot my spoon,
But I didn't forget my straw
Slurp, AWE!
Regurgitate! Regurgitate!
Regurgitate the food you ate!

Lyrics of a more extensive version from New York was in use during the 1990s as follows:
Yankee Doodle went to town a-ridin’ on a gopher
Bumped into a garbage can and this is what fell over:
Great green gobs of greasy, grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat, chopped up baby parakeet.
French-fried eyeballs rolling down the street.
Oops, I forgot my spoon!
So they gave me a split-splat, pus-on-top,
Monkey vomit and camel snot,
All wrapped up in birdie poo,
So eat it, (name), it’s good for you!
With vitamin C, and protein too
And don’t forget the doggie doo!

The following version was sung in the mid-1950s in the Shadyside and East Liberty neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey meat,
dirty little birdy feet,
Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts,
And me without my spoon.

Nine miles of two-strand topped with barbed wire
laid by the father for the son.
Good shelter down there on the valley floor,
down by where the sweet stream run.
Now they might give me compensation...
That's not what I'm chasing. I was a rich man before yesterday.
Now all I have got is a check and a pickup truck.
I left my farm on the freeway.

They're busy building airports on the south side...
Silicon chip factory on the east.
And the big road's pushing through along the valley floor.
Hot machine pouring six lanes at the very least.
Now, they say they gave me compensation...
That's not what I'm chasing. I was a rich man before yesterday.
Now all I have left is a broken-down pickup truck.
Looks like my farm is a freeway.

They forgot they told us what this old land was for.
Grow two tons the acre, boy, between the stones.
This was no Southfork, it was no Ponderosa.
But it was the place that I called home.
They say they gave me compensation...
That's not what I'm chasing. I was a rich man before yesterday.
And what do I want with a million dollars and a pickup truck?
When I left my farm under the freeway.

Scarab Sages

Well she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina,
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize,
She'll take you for a ride on a slow boat to China,
Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

Steal their Seoul in South Korea, make Antarctica cry Uncle,
From the Red Sea to Greenland they'll be singing the blues,
Well they never Arkansas her steal the Mekong from the delta,
Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

She goes from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe,
Chicago to Czechoslovakia and back!

Well she'll ransack Pakistan and run a scam in Scandinavia,
Then she'll stick 'em up Down Under and go pick-pocket Perth,
She put the Miss in misdemeanor when she stole the beans from Lima,
Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

Oh tell me where in the world is... Oh tell me where can she be?
Ooh, Botswana to Thailand, Milan via Amsterdam,
Mali to Bali, Ohio, Oahu...!

Well she glides around the globe and she'll flimflam every nation,
She's a double-dealing diva with a taste for thievery,
Her itinerary's loaded up with moving violations,
Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
Tell me WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

Lying beside you here in the dark
Feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper, you're so sincere
How could our love be so blind?

We sailed on together
We drifted apart
And here you are by my side

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide, believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me, open arms

Living without you, living alone
This empty house seems so cold
Wanting to hold you, wanting you near
How much I wanted you home

But now that you've come back
Turned night into day
I need you to stay

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide, believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me, open arms

Makes more sense than "broken arms"

Scarab Sages

Hail to thee, O Nile!
Who manifests thyself over this land,
and comes to give life to Egypt!
Mysterious is thy issuing forth from the darkness,
on this day whereon it is celebrated!
Watering the orchards created by Re,
to cause all the cattle to live,
you give the earth to drink, inexhaustible one!
Path that descends from the sky,
loving the bread of Seb and the first-fruits of Nepera,
You cause the workshops of Ptah to prosper!

Lord of the fish, during the inundation,
no bird alights on the crops.
You create the grain, you bring forth the barley,
assuring perpetuity to the temples.
If you cease your toil and your work,
then all that exists is in anguish.
If the gods suffer in heaven,
then the faces of men waste away.

Then He torments the flocks of Egypt,
and great and small are in agony.
But all is changed for mankind when He comes;
He is endowed with the qualities of Nun.
If He shines, the earth is joyous,
every stomach is full of rejoicing,
every spine is happy, every jaw-bone crushes.

He brings the offerings, as chief of provisioning;
He is the creator of all good things,
as master of energy, full of sweetness in his choice.
If offerings are made it is thanks to Him.
He brings forth the herbage for the flocks,
and sees that each god receives his sacrifices.
All that depends on Him is a precious incense.
He spreads himself over Egypt, filling the granaries,
renewing the marts, watching over the goods of the unhappy.

He is prosperous to the height of all desires,
without fatiguing Himself therefor.
He brings again his lordly bark;
He is not sculptured in stone,
in the statutes crowned with the uraeus serpent,
He cannot be contemplated.
No servitors has He, no bearers of offerings!
He is not enticed by incantations!
None knows the place where He dwells,
None discovers his retreat by the power of a written spell.

No dwelling which may contain you!
None penetrates within your heart!
Your young men, your children applaud you
and render unto you royal homage.
Stable are your decrees for Egypt
before your servants of the North!
He stanches the water from all eyes
and watches over the increase of his good things.

Where misery existed, joy manifests itself;
all beasts rejoice.
The children of Sobek, the sons of Neith,
the cycle of the gods which dwells in him, are prosperous.
No more reservoirs for watering the fields!
He makes mankind valiant, enriching some,
bestowing his love on others.
None commands at the same time as himself.
He creates the offerings without the aid of Neith,
making mankind for himself with multiform care.

He shines when He issues forth from the darkness,
to cause his flocks to prosper.
It is his force that gives existence to all things;
nothing remains hidden for him.
Let men clothe themselves to fill his gardens.
He watches over his works,
producing the inundation during the night.
The associate of Ptah . . .
He causes all his servants to exist,
all writings and divine words,
and that which He needs in the North.

It is with the words that
He penetrates into his dwelling;
He issues forth at his pleasure through the magic spells.
Your unkindness brings destruction to the fish;
it is then that prayer is made for the water of the season;
Southern Egypt is seen in the same state as the North.
Each one is with his instruments of labor.
None remains behind his companions.
None clothes himself with garments,
The children of the noble put aside their ornaments.
His night remains silent,
but all is changed by the inundation;
it is a healing-balm for all mankind.

Establisher of justice! Mankind desires you,
supplicating you to answer their prayers;
You answer them by the inundation!
Men offer the first-fruits of corn;
all the gods adore you!
The birds descend not on the soil.
It is believed that with your hand of gold
you make bricks of silver!
But we are not nourished on lapis-lazuli;
wheat alone gives vigor.

A festal song is raised for you on the harp,
with the accompaniment of the hand.
Your young men and your children acclaim you
and prepare their exercises.
You are the august ornament of the earth,
letting your bark advance before men,
lifting up the heart of women in labor,
and loving the multitude of the flocks.

When you shine in the royal city,
the rich man is sated with good things,
the poor man even disdains the lotus;
all that is produced is of the choicest;
all the plants exist for your children.
If you have refused (to grant) nourishment,
the dwelling is silent, devoid of all that is good,
the country falls exhausted.

O inundation of the Nile,
offerings are made unto you,
men are immolated to you,
great festivals are instituted for you.
Birds are sacrificed to you,
gazelles are taken for you in the mountain,
pure flames are prepared for you.
Sacrifice is mettle to every god as it is made to the Nile.
The Nile has made its retreats in Southern Egypt,
its name is not known beyond the Tuau.
The god manifests not his forms,
He baffles all conception.

Men exalt him like the cycle of the gods,
they dread him who creates the heat,
even him who has made his son the universal master
in order to give prosperity to Egypt.
Come prosper!
Come prosper!
O Nile, come prosper!
O you who make men to live through his flocks
and his flocks through his orchards!
Come prosper, come,
O Nile, come prosper!

Baby, don't understand
Why we can't just hold on to each other's hands?
This time might be the last I fear unless
I make it all too clear I need you so, oh

Take these broken wings
And learn to fly again, learn to live so free
When we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up and let us in
Take these broken wings

Baby, I think tonight
We can take what was wrong and make it right
Baby, it's all I know that you're half of the flesh
And blood that makes me whole, I need you so.

So take these broken wings
And learn to fly again, learn to live so free
When we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up
And let us in
Yeah, yeah

Let us in
Let us in

Baby, it's all I know that you're half of the flesh
And blood that makes me whole
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

So take these broken wings
And learn to fly again, learn to live so free
And when we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up and let us in

Take these broken wings
You got to learn to fly, learn to live
And live so free
When we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up for us
And let us in
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh

You've heard of the Gresford disaster
And the terrible price that was paid
Two hundred and forty two colliers were lost
And three of the rescue brigade

It occurred on the 3rd of September
At three in the morning that day,
It was wrecked by a violent explosion
In the depths where the gases lay

Now, the gas in the deepest section
It stayed there like snow in the drift
And many the miner had to leave the coal face
Before he had worked out his shift

And a fortnight before the explosion,
To the shot-firer Tom Linton cried
'If you fire that shot, we'll be all blown to hell'
And nobody can say that he lied.

The Lord Mayor of London's collected
To help all the children and wives
And the owners have sent some lilies, dear God
To pay for those poor colliers' lives

Down there in the dark they are lying
They died for nine shillings a day
They worked their shift, and now they must lie
In the darkness until judgement day

'Farewell all our wives and our sweethearts
Farewell to our children as well
Don't send your sons down a dark, dreary mine
They'll be damned like the sinners in hell'

Scarab Sages

It's a world of laughter, a world of tears
It's a world of hopes and a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide

Welcome to Duloc
Such a perfect town
Here we have some rules
Let us lay them down
Don't make waves
Stay in line
And we'll get along fine.
Duloc is a Perfect Place
Please keep off of the grass
Shine your shoes
Wipe your... face.
Duloc is, Duloc is,
Duloc is a Perfect—
Place!

Scared Shrekless
Welcome to Duloc
Its a creepy town
What was once pristine
Now is all run down
We will chop off your head
And then laugh when you're dead
Duloc is a Creepy Place
Come on in, What the heck
Fall right down
Break your... face.
Duloc is, Duloc is,
Duloc is a Creepy—
Place!

Welcome to Duloc, such a perfect town.
Here we have some rules, let us lay them down.
don't make waves, stay in line,
And we'll get along fine,
Duloc is a perfect place.
Please keep off of the grass,
Shine your shoes, wipe your... face!
Duloc is, Duloc is, Duloc is a perfect place!

And here's the man who made it happen,
The towering colossal of moxie, Loooord Farkwad!
Farquaad (spoken)
Oh, it's you! What a terrific surprise.
sung
Once upon a time, this place was infested.
Freaks on every corner-- I had them all arrested.
Hey, nonny, nonny, nonny, no...
If you had a quirk, you didn't pass inspection.
We all have our standards, but I will have perfection!
And so... And so...
Things are looking up here in Duloc.
Duloc Dancers
Just take a look!
Farquaad
The things I'm cooking up here in Duloc.

Hey, nonny, nonny, nonny, no...
This castle I had built is taller than the cliff tops.
A city like a postcard, a monorail and gift shops!

Farquaad, Farquaad, Farquaad,

The upshot is enormous when you can shout:

Scarab Sages

L'amour est un oiseau rebelle
Que nul ne peut apprivoiser,
Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle,
S'il lui convient de refuser.
Rien n'y fait, menace ou prière;
L'un parle bien, l'autre se tait,
Et c'est l'autre que je préfère;

L'amour...

L'amour est enfant de bohème,
Il n'a jamais, jamais connu de loi;
Si tu ne m'aimes pas, je t'aime;
Si je t'aime, prends garde à toi! (Prends garde à toi!)
Si tu ne m'aimes pas,
Si tu ne m'aimes pas, je t'aime; (Prends garde à toi!)
Mais si je t'aime, si je t'aime;

Mais si je t'aime, si je t'aime;
Prends garde à toi! (Prends garde à toi!)

L'oiseau que tu croyais surprendre
Battit de l'aile et s'envola.
L'amour est loin, tu peux l'attendre;

L'amour...

L'amour est enfant de bohème,
Il n'a jamais, jamais connu de loi;

It's raining, it's pouring
A black sky is falling, it's cold tonight
You gave me your answer
Goodbye, now I'm all on my own tonight

And when the big wheel starts to spin
You can never know the odds
If you don't play, you'll never win

We were in heaven you and I
When I lay with you and close my eyes
Our fingers touch the sky

I'm sorry baby
You were the sun and moon to me
I'll never get over you
You'll never get over me
I'm sorry baby
You were the sun and moon to me
I'll never get over you
You'll never get over me

When the big wheel starts to spin
You can never know the odds
If you don't play, you'll never win

We were in heaven you and I
When I lay with you and close my eyes
Our fingers touch the sky

I'm sorry baby
You were the sun and moon to me
I'll never get over you
You'll never get over me
I'm sorry baby
You were the sun and moon to me
I'll never get over you
You'll never get over me

You'll never get over me

Scarab Sages

Nothin' ever (ever) happens in this town
Feelin' low down (down), not a lot to do around here
I thought that I would go right out of my mind
Until a friend told me the news

He said, "Hey, you know that vacant lot
Right beside the gas station? Well, somebody bought it
And on that spot they're gonna build a shop
Where we can go buy bolts and screws"

Since then I've been walking on air (air)
I can barely brush my teeth or comb my hair
'Cause I'm so excited and I really don't care
I've been waiting since last June

For this day to finally arrive
I'm so happy (happy) now just to be alive
'Cause any minute now I'm gonna be inside
Well, I hope they open soon

I can't wait, (no I) I can't wait (oh when)
When are they gonna open up that door?
I'm goin' (yes I'm) goin', I'm a-goin' to the
Goin' to the (hard) ware I'm goin', really goin' to the
Goin' (hard) I'm goin' to the (hard) oh yes, I'm goin' to the
HARDWARE STORE!!!

In my sleeping bag I camped out overnight
Right in front of the store, then as soon as it was light out
I pressed my nose right up against the glass
You know, I had to be first in line

Gonna get me a flashlight and a broom
Want a pair of pliers for every single room of my house
See those hacksaws? Very, very soon
One of them will be all mine

Guys with nametags walking down the aisles
Rows of garden hoses that go on for miles and miles
Brand new socket wrenches in a plethora of styles
All arranged alphabetically

And they're doing a promotional stunt
There's a great big purple sign out front
That says every 27th customer
Will get a ball peen hammer free

I can't wait, (no I) I can't wait (oh when)
When are they gonna open up that door?
I'm goin' (yes I'm) goin', I'm a-goin' to the

Walkie-talkies, copper wires safety goggles, radial tires
BB pellets, rubber mallets, fans and dehumidifiers

Talking Heads – Once In A Lifetime Lyrics
And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself
Well...How did I get here?

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
After the money's gone
Once in a lifetime
Water flowing underground

And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
After the money's gone
Once in a lifetime
Water flowing underground

Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...

Water dissolving...and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Under the water, carry the water at the bottom of the ocean
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
Into the silent water
Under the rocks and stones
There is water underground

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
After the money's gone
Once in a lifetime
Water flowing underground

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go to?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right?...Am I wrong?
And you may say to yourself yourself
My God!...What have I done?!

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
Into the silent water
Under the rocks and stones
There is water underground

Letting the days go by
Let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by
Water flowing underground
Into the blue again
After the money's gone
Once in a lifetime
Water flowing underground

Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Look where my hand was
Time isn't holding us
Time isn't after us
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...
Yeah, the twister comes
Here comes the twister
Same as it ever was...

Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake your body line
Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time
Work, work, work, Senora, work your body line
Work, work, work, Senora, work it all the time

My girl's name is Senora
I tell you friends, I adore her
And when she dances, oh brother!
She's a hurricane in all kinds of weather

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whoa!

Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake your body line
Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time
Work, work, work, Senora, work your body line
Work, work, work, Senora, work it all the time

You can talk about Cha Cha

Senora's dance has more title
You jump in the saddle
Hold on to de bridle!

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Rock your body, child!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Somebody, help me!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whoa!

Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake your body line
Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time (Whoa)
Work, work, work, Senora, work your body line (Yep)
Work, work, work, Senora, work it all the time

Senora, she's a sensation
The reason for aviation
And fellas, you got to watch it
When she wind up, she bottom, she go like a rocket!

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Hoist those guns a little higher!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Humpin' jiminy!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whoa oh oh oh!

[break]

Shake, shake, shake, Senora
Shake your body line
Work, work, work, Senora
Work it all the time
Dance, dance, dance, Senora

(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Somebody, help me!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) ok, I believe you!
(Jump in de line, rock your body in time) Whooooa!

Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake your body line
Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time
Work, work, work, Senora!!

Lyrics
Now here you go again, you say
You want your freedom
Well who am I to keep you down
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound
Of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost, and what you had, and what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say women they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know, you'll know

Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself, it's only me
Who wants to wrap around your dreams and,
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Dreams of loneliness,
Like a heartbeat, drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering, what you had,
And what you lost and what you had and what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know

These Dreams
Heart
Spare a little candle
Save some light for me
Figures up ahead
Moving in the trees
White skin in linen
Perfume on my wrist
And the full moon that hangs over
These dreams in the mist

Darkness on the edge
Shadows where I stand
I search for the time
On a watch with no hands
I want to see you clearly
Come closer than this
But all I remember
Are the dreams in the mist

These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

Is it cloak 'n' dagger
Could it be spring or fall
I walk without a cut
Through a stained glass wall
Weaker in my eyesight
The candle in my grip
And words that have no form
Are falling from my lips

These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

There's something out there
I can't resist
I need to hide away from the pain
There's something out there
I can't resist

The sweetest song is silence
That I've ever heard
Funny how your feet
In dreams never touch the earth
In a wood full of princes
Freedom is a kiss
But the prince hides his face
From dreams in the mist

These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

My uncle has a country place that no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm, before the Motor Law
And now on Sundays I elude the eyes and hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire where my white-haired uncle waits

Jump to the ground as the turbo slows to cross the borderline
Run like the wind as excitement shivers up and down my spine
But down in his barn, my uncle preserved for me an old machine
For fifty-odd years, to keep it as new has been his dearest dream

I strip away the old debris that hides a shining car
A brilliant red barchetta from a better vanished time
We'll fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime

Wind in my hair, shifting and drifting
Mechanical music, adrenaline surge

Well-oiled leather, hot metal and oil, the scented country air
Sunlight on chrome, the blur of the landscape, every nerve aware

Suddenly, ahead of me, across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air-car shoots towards me two lanes wide
Oh, I spin around with shrieking tires to run the deadly race
Go screaming through the valley as another joins the chase

Ride like the wind, straining the limits of machine and man
Laughing out loud with fear and hope, I've got a desperate plan

At the one-lane bridge, I leave the giants stranded at the riverside
Race back to the farm to dream with my uncle at the fireside

There's glass in this rug, tiny splinters pass
All just missiles to bloodstream
Lead in water collects in liver
Transmit signals inside me

Pass me the remedy, get this chip out of my head
Subject wants to come down, refuses lead

There's gas in one lung, should we need it
Silly rabbit, you can't see
Our team of crackerjacks at full readiness
Treason angel, we'll find you

On the head of a pin in the hair of another angel
Subject wants to come home but it's not time

Pass me the remedy, get this shit out of my head
Subject wants to come down, refuses lead

You're never too small for our attention
You watch TV while we watch you
You're never too small for our attention
You're never so small we can't see you

You're never too small for our attention
You watch TV while we watch you
You're never too small for our attention
You're never so small we can't see you

Ladies and gentlemen, Jonestown: The Musical!

I'm going to introduce healing potions that are more moonshine than potion. Three doses of cure light in a little brown jug. It refills when exposed to moonlight. Basically each healing potion comes with a drunkenness check.

Lyrics
Me and my wife live all alone
In a little log hut we're all our own
She loves gin and I love rum,
And don't we have a lot of fun!

Ha, ha, ha, you and me,
Little brown jug, don't I love thee!
Ha, ha, ha, you and me,
Little brown jug, don't I love thee!
When I go toiling on the farm
I take the little jug under my arm

Place it under a shady tree,
Little brown jug, 'tis you and me.
'Tis you that makes me friends and foes,
'Tis you that makes me wear old clothes
But, seeing you're so near my nose,
Tip her up and down she goes.

If all the folks in Adam's race
Were gathered together in one place,
Then I'd prepare to shed a tear
(I'd let them go without a tear)
Before I'd part from you, my dear.

If I'd a cow that gave such milk,
I'd dress her in the finest silk;
Feed her up on oats and hay,
And milk her twenty times a day.

I bought a cow from Farmer Jones,
And she was nothing but skin and bones
I fed her up as fine as silk,
She jumped the fence and strained her milk.

And when I die don't bury me at all,
Just pickle my bones in alcohol
I'ut a bottle o' booze at my head and feet
And then I know that I will keep.

The rose is red, my nose is too,
The violets blue and so are you
And yet, I guess, before I stop,
We'd better take another drop.

Can you remember remember my name
As I flow through your life
A thousand oceans I have flown
And cold spirits of ice
All my life
I am the echo of your past

I am returning the echo of a point in time
Distant faces shine
A thousand warriors I have known
And laughing as the spirits appear
All your life
Shadows of another day

And if you hear me talking on the wind
You've got to understand
We must remain
Perfect strangers

I know I must remain inside this silent well of sorrow

A strand of silver hanging through the sky
Touching more than you see
The voice of ages in your mind
Is aching with the dead of the night
Precious life (your tears are lost in
Falling rain)

And if you hear me talking on the wind
You've got to understand
We must remain
Perfect strangers

When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob-Bob Bobbin' Along
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along, along
There'll be no more sobbin' when he starts throbbin' his old sweet song
Wake up, wake up you sleepy head

Get up, get out of your bed
Cheer up, cheer up the sun is red
Live, love, laugh and be happy
What if I were blue, now I'm walking through, walking through the fields of flowers

Rain may glisten but still I listen for hours and hours
I'm just a kid again doing what I did again, singing a song
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin'

When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along
There'll be no more sobbin' when he starts throbbin'
There'll be no more sobbin' when he starts a throbbin' his old sweet song
Wake up, wake up you sleepy head

Why don't you get up, get up, get out of bed, cheer up
Live, love, laugh and be happy
What if I were blue, now I'm walking through fields of flowers
Rain may glisten but still I listen for hours and hours

I'm just a kid again, doing what I did again, singing a song
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin'
When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along
Along, along, along, along, along.

I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
Let's do it in the butt, okay

I feel you watching me
Over there
Come to me
If you care
Don't sit and stare
It's just not fair
Make your move
If you dare
What what

I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
Let's do it in the butt, okay

It's okay
To have a little fight
Don't you worry
I won't bite (Not that hard)
If you want it
I'll give you power
Just be gentle
I'm delicate like a flower

I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
I said, what what, in the butt
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
You wanna do it in my butt, in my butt?
Let's do it in the butt, okay

I will give you what you need
All I want is your big fat seed
Give it to me, if you please
Give it to me, if you please
I will give you what you need
All I want is your big fat seed
Give it to me, if you please
Give it to me, if you please

Bück dich befehl ich dir
wende dein Antlitz ab von mir
dein Gesicht ist mir egal
bück dich

Ein Zweibeiner auf allen Vieren
ich führe ihn spazieren
im Passgang den Flur entlang
ich bin enttäuscht

Jetzt kommt er rückwärts mir entgegen
Honig bleibt am Strumpfband kleben
ich bin enttäuscht total enttäuscht

Bück dich
das Gesicht interessiert mich nicht

Der Zweibeiner hat sich gebückt
in ein gutes Licht gerückt
zeig ich ihm was man machen kann
und ich fang zu weinen an

Der Zweifuß stammelt ein Gebet
aus Angst weil es mir schlechter geht
versucht sich tiefer noch zu bücken
Tränen laufen hoch den Rücken

Bück dich

Bück dich befehl ich dir
wende dein Antlitz ab von mir
dein Gesicht ist mir egal
bück dich nocheinmal

Bend over is what I command you
Turn your face away from me
I do not care about your face
Bend over

A biped on all fours
I lead him walk
along the ambling down the hall
I'm disappointed

Now he comes back to meet me
Honey is his tights
I am disappointed, totally disappointed

Bend over
The face is not interesting me

The biped has stooped
seen in a good light
I'll show him what you can do
and I begin to cry

The two-foot stammers a prayer
fear because it is bad to me
trying to bend deeper still
Tears are running high back

Bend over

Bend over is what I command you
Turn your face away from me
I do not care about your face
bend over again

Bend over

Love is a rebel bird

That no one can tame,
And it is in vain that we call him,
If it suits him to refuse.
Nothing will work, threat or prayer;
One speaks, the other stays quiet,
And that's the other that I prefer;
He said nothing but please me.

It has never, never known any law;
If you do not love me, I love you;

The bird you thought to surprise
Beat of wings and flew away.
Love is far away, you can wait;
You wait no longer, it is there.
All around you, quickly, quickly,
It comes, goes, then it comes back.
You think to hold it, it avoids you,

I used a German translator. I'm kind of sorry.

Dare you to try that with what I put at the top of page 3. Dare you....^^

You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know
You don't know...?

You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim,
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name.

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you,
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew.

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth!

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends!

How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains!
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind!

You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth, until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind....

I just recently explained to my eldest son how the authors of that song admitted that much of it is nonsense.

"Blue corn moon" indeed.

ANyway...

Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip...[continues in second voice]

We don't wanna go to war today
But the Lord of the Lash says: "nay, nay, nay!"
We're gonna march all day, all day, all day!
Where there's a whip there's a way!

Where there's a whip, there's a way!
Left, right, left, right
The crack on the back says we're gonna fight
We're gonna march all day and night and more
For we are the slaves of the Dark Lord's war.

Where there's a whip, there's a way!
We don't wanna go to war today!

We don't wanna go to war today
But the Lord of the Lash says: "nay, nay, nay!"
We're gonna march all day, all day, all day!
Where there's a whip there's a way!
Left, right, left right!

Could've fooled me - but gods forbid we be accused of being hippies or something, right? OH NOES!!!

Seriously, what was your goal with that? Some of those 1990s Disney movies were actually extraordinarily brave. People nitpick about this pokeable hole or the other, but to do so is really...unimpressive behavior.

Well, it's my birthday; time for my theme song!

People are strange when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone
Women seem wicked when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven when you're down

When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange

People are strange when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone
Women seem wicked when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven when you're down

When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange

When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you're strange
No one remembers your name
When you're strange
When you're strange
When you're strange

Because there is much to value in the native North American culture, and a couple songwriters not bothering to do enough research to write a song without resorting to "native-sounding" phrases is, to me, less impressive behavior. Especially when you consider the resources that Disney commands.

Now some folks like to boast of their father's occupation,
Dustmen and the likes, and other situations.
That's so, our old man, working was 'is pride,
In 'obnailed boots and gaiters, and a dung fork at 'is side.

Chorus: Hi Ho, fiddle - iddle- o, Chesterfield to Cheddar,
Hi Ho, the folks all know, he's a champion dung-spreader!

Now many years ago, when Dad was in 'is power,
With a mighty two-hand swipe he hit the old church tower!
"Lord help us," cried the vicar, "Tis the judgement come!"
"Not so," said the verger, "Tis a hundredweight of dung!"

Repeat chorus

Now his aim was always straight and true, when 'is arms start flailin'
We'd all look out the way, when they girt brown lumps go sailin'.
Just leave our old man where the dung lies piled up thick,
And he'll make it fly for miles around with 'is girt big blackthorn stick!

Repeat chorus

Now as you all can see, father was quite contented
He had the finest job, since work it was invented!
And when our old man passed away they laid him down to die,
In a forty acre field, with the dung piled six foot high!
Repeat chorus (twice)

Today's gonna be a-ok

'Cause we're celebratin' your birthday

Happy birthday, IHIYC

Celebratin' your birthday!

A-ok!

Laura
Calls me
In the middle of the night
Passes on her
Painful information
Then these careless fingers
They get caught in her vice
Til they're bleeding
On my coffee table

Living alone isn't all that
It's cracked up to be
I'm on her side
Why does she push the poison on me?

Laura
Has a very hard time
All her life has
Been one long disaster
Then she tells me
She suddenly believes she's seen
A very good sign
She'll be taking
Some aggressive action

I fight her wars
While she's slamming her doors
In my face
Failure to break
Was the only mistake
That she made

Here I am
feeling like a f!$+ing fool
Do I react the way exactly
She intends me to?
Everytime I think I'm off the hook
She makes me lose my cool
I'm her machine
And she can punch all the keys
She can push any button I was programmed through

Laura
Calls me
When she needs a good fix
All her questions
Will get sympathetic answers
I should
Be so
Immunized
To all of her tricks
She's surviving
On her second chances

Sometimes I feel like this
Godfather deal is all wrong
How can she hold an umbilical chord
For so long?
I've done everything I can
What else am I supposed to do
I'm her machine
And she can punch all the keys
She can push any button I was programmed through

Laura
Loves me
Even if I don't care
That's my problem
That's her sacred absolution
If she had to
She would put herself in my chair
Even though I
Faced electrocution

She always says
I'm the best friend that
She's ever had
How do you
Hang up on someone
Who needs you that bad?

Fair enough - the problem is that one hears Pocahontas-bashing with surprising frequency, and it's nearly always cowardly pretentiousness/veiled hate - so your complaint sort of fun-house mirrors mine.

Well I wish real hard when I close my eyes
If I could change the world--would I even try
If I found a reason to regain my pride
Oh if I try to believe--try to believe

It's so hard to find an answer
It's so hard to stand alone
It's so hard to find a feeling
That was buried long ago
It's so hard to trust another
When it's easier to hide
It's so hard to believe
Unless we try baby try

If I had a dream and it got away
If I found the words would I know what to say
If I had a chance to be someone else
Yeah if I try to believe, try to believe

It's so hard to find an answer
It's so hard to stand alone
It's so hard to find a feeling
That was buried long ago
It's so hard to trust another
When it's easier to hide
It's so hard to believe
Unless we try baby try

If I found a door I've never been through
Would I have the courage to go in without you
(Try To Believe)
And if time runs short would I recognize
The things I couldn't see
If I try to believe--try to believe

If we listen to the voices that were silent for so long
If you thought they went away, well you couldn't be more wrong
If I tell you there is something that we've lost but can retrieve
If I tell you there is hope, if we try to believe
You remember there's a dream that we long since put aside
With the toys that we discarded
And the tears we never cried
We could have had it once again, if we try baby try

Steel, strike now, come into being
Spring up from the hot fire
Steel, strike now, rise up from the ground
Arise from the busts of nymphs.

Deadly steel, it's time to strike
You'll come to life by strikes
Black steel, it's time to strike
You hot tar-burning steel

Strike Strike!

Three steels, it's time to strike
You were forged by Ilmarinen
He picked you from the ground
From footprints of beast

Steel, strike now, come being into being
Transform in the hot fire
Swear you now, killing steel
Merely to strike the enemies

Swear you now, killing steel
Merely to strike the enemies

Three steels, it's time to strike
You were forged by Ilmarinen
He picked you from the ground
From footprints of beast

Steel, strike now, come being into being
Transform in the hot fire
Swear you now, killing steel
Merely to strike the enemies

Swear you now, killing steel
Merely to strike the enemies

Copper steel, it's time to strike
Strikes may build up your strength
Steel so red, it's time to strike
You hot-burning cross-steel

Fine and shiny steel, strike now
You will made by strikes
Whitish steel, it's time to strike
You sharpened killing steel

Strikes may build up your strength
Strike Strikes
Strikes may build up your strength
Strike Strikes strike

Three steels, it's time to strike
You were forged by Ilmarinen
He picked you from the ground
From footprints of beast

Steel, strike now, come being into being

Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)
Kenny Rogers & The First Edition

I woke up this mornin' with the sundown shinin' in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawlin' out as I was a-crawlin' in
I got up so tight I couldn't unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

Someone painted "April Fool" in big black letters on a "Dead End" sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles outta Memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Yeah yeah oh-yeah

Kenny Rogers did this! Mind blown!

If I were a god, I'd make a lot of milkshakes
Pour them down on people, watch them all go crazy
If I were a god, I'd fry a lot of bacon
Put in in the milkshakes, my idea of heaven
Bacon in a milkshake, my idea of heaven

If I were a genius, I could make you love me
But I'm not a genius, 'cause nobody loves me
If I were a genius, I could write equations
I could pass the math test, but I'd never solve them
I could pass the math test, but I'd never solve them

If crack a bottle, I could swallow vodka
Walking into brick walls, acting like my father
If crack a bottle, I could swim in whiskey
I'd forget my lover, 'cause she doesn't miss me
I'd forget my lover, 'cause she doesn't miss me

If I were a record, I'd be getting dizzy
Spinning 'round in circles, sticking needles in me
If I were a record, I'd be wearing vinyl
Dressing like a rock star, going out of style
Dressing like a rock star, going out of style

If I were a cell phone, I'd call in a bomb threat
Almost got arrested, but I shot the sheriff
If I were a cell phone, we could learn our lessons
I will leave a voicemail if you leave a message
I will leave a voicemail if you leave a message

If I were a god, I'd fry a lot of bacon
Put it in the milkshakes, my idea of heaven
If I were a god, I'd find it quite perplexing
Balancing the bacon, trying to please the vegans
Bringing home the bacon, but I love the vegans
