A large smile brightens on Saul's face.
"I'm so glad to hear this guys.Come, let's know the place better;i'll show you your personal living rooms, and dining area.Of course lodging is free of charges."
Saul then spends the next hour or so showing you around the areas of the building you'll be allowed access.
This way all of you see that there is more than meets the eye in this building:in its cellars in fact there is another type of gaming hall,a large room with inclined staircase leaning on a 10ft (3mtr) drop used as some sort of arena for pit fighters.Fights are kept two nights a week, and usually they see animals kept in nearby cells,or gamblers full of debts. There are also a guard house with a half-orc named Bojask,a wine cellar,an infirmary and a bar.
Saul tells you that only the floor manager and the head bartenders holds the keys to access the underground levels

Rast Hilden |

While not an pit fighting enthusiast, Rast doesn't have the same disgust for pit fighting. Some men can't pay their debts, though the fact that animals are pitted against each other in a contained environment is a little bit of a sad thing. Men should go into the wilderness to see how animals fight not into the luxury of a gambling hall.
When the group passes through the wine cellars, Rast takes a look as some of the selections before saying, "Hey Mr. Vanderkaskin. I'm not much of a vintner, but if ya want I can see about getting some quality wines imported through tha Publican House after this place gets up an running again."
Upon hearing that there is an underground section, Rast looks for the doors leading to the entry. Being a fan of exploration, Rast was always up for traveling into the unknown. "What's down there that would be any use fer ya? A natural chilling method fer the brew?"

Sanya "San" Icefloe |

Sanya follow the rest, eagerly trying to soak up all impressions; at the sight of the pit she thinks the first thing that is like home, I wonder what kind of beasts battle down there...
After Rast's question Sanya is very interested in hearing about the even deeper levels and stands very close to the priest.

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

Saul explains that usually animals threw in the pit are dogs, apes and boars, and usually there is no need for them to care the animals or to be check on the fights. That is Bojask's job.
The tour take all of you back to the waiting room at the second floor, which is near to the private apartments you will be using.
Saul's personal living quarters are next door as well, and he is the only one to have who can access his rooms.
It late night at this point, and tomorrow you'll have a busy day,or so Saul states,so he wishes you goodnight and retires in his rooms.
Added:of course you'll each have your copy of the keys to your apartements

Gorag |

Gorag will go in his chamber. It was a long march. If anyone needs some Potions, I can brew them for at my manufacturing costs. I can make healing potions or potions, which could grow or shrink you.

Rast Hilden |

"Well, it certainly has been a fun filled evening, eh?!" Looking to the group gathered around, Rast will smile as he continues with, "But if what Saul is saying is true, then tomorrow should be even more interesting. So on that note, I'll say g'night to ya all." Ending with a casual wave good night, Rast retires to his room as well, seemingly unconcerned by today's events and tomorrow's upcoming tribulations.

Gysseannia |

Darius nods to the cleric and the half-orc before walking over to the "odd" woman. He holds out his hand towards Gysseannia. "I realized that I had been rude and not offered my name. I am Darius Pope. It is a pleasure to have met you this day."
The odd woman looks at the hand as if it is a strange creature before tentatively extending her own. 'Well met, Darius Pope. You may call me Gysseannia. You are not the worst human I have met.'

Sanya "San" Icefloe |

Sanya overhears Gysseannia's and Darius' talk and thinks
not the worst human...what a funny comment, maybe she even thinks that'd be polite
She joins the two and says
Oh yeah, and I'm Sanya, but you may call me just San, nice to meet you! she takes a closer look at Gysseannia you nearly look as alien in this environment as I do, where do you come from, my dear?

Rast Hilden |

Stiopping at the door to his room, Rast is glad that the others have a desirte to converse before heading to bed. Rejoining the group, Rast says, "The dwarf has it right there. Though if we are indeed to work together, then we will need to get ta know each other a bit. How about a round of ale to finish of the night for those who are interested and we can talk for a bit. As a cleric to the Drunken Hero, I am versed in all manner of brewing techniques, that should help get some good brews andded ta the menu, once this place gets up and running again."

Gysseannia |

Sanya overhears Gysseannia's and Darius' talk and thinks
not the worst human...what a funny comment, maybe she even thinks that'd be polite
She joins the two and says
Oh yeah, and I'm Sanya, but you may call me just San, nice to meet you! she takes a closer look at Gysseannia you nearly look as alien in this environment as I do, where do you come from, my dear?
'Hello, Jussan. You may call me Gysseannia.' She stares into Sanya's eyes seeming to look right through her.

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

The floor manager who you already saw during the first meeting with Saul, the dwarf Larur, approches your party smiling.
"Good night to all of ya folks, sorry to interrupt.Just wanted to thank you as well, and to assure everybody the house'll be back in business really soon. The master tasked me with hiring new workers, nothing so special like the rest of ya, just cooks, croupiers, girls who'll wear that stupid devil-suite and such.Hope you'll have a nice staying here at Golden Goblin."
I wrote the cellar guard was a half-orc, just by looking at his pic on the module.Well reading it again lately i discovered he is a human;doesn't matter, this means in this game he changed race

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

Still have no time to put detailed posts, sorry. For the incoming days (in game time) you'll be told that you need to wander around the nearby districts and spread words that the gambling hall will be back at business in few days,as soon as the new staff has been recruited. Also Saul will see that you are given the respect you deserve amongst the Riddleport low-life
You also need to see how to handle the management of the hall weekly earnings/expenses, by which will depend part of your salary.

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

Each Sunday, the Golden Goblin's Profit rating can change. After Saul makes his weekly Profession check to influence profitability, each of you gains a bonus (or a possible cut in pay) as indicated.Remember, the your weekly pay is 10 gp at the start. As you accomplish missions for Saul,he might give you raises. If a Pay Cut exceeds your weekly pay,you won't have to pay Saul the difference, you merely make no money that week.
Profit rating Weekly bonus/cut
-4 -20gp
-3 -10gp
-2 -5gp
-1 -2gp
0 0gp
1 +5gp
2 +10gp
3 +25gp
4 +50gp
Actually the Profit Rating is at -1; the weekly Profession check is at DC20 to raise the PR by 1, but if it fails by 5 or more the PR drops by 1.
The following skill checks can influence the Golden Goblin's PR. A char must accomplish that particular skill's requirement at some point during the week, and at the end of that week he makes the appropriate skill check.Granting Saul a +1 bonus on his Profession check requires a different DC for success depending on the skill in question, but if whoever of you fails this skill check by 5 or more, he actually imparts a -1 penalty on Saul's weekly Profession check.
Relevant Skill (DC)
Bluff(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day cajoling citizens and tricking them into visiting the Hall.
Craft(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day and 10gp to create eye catching advertisements
Diplomacy(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day helping in greeting customers
Diplomacy(DC20)-spend 4 hours a day actually convincing citizen into coming to Hall
Intimidate(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day working as a bouncer at the Golden Goblin
Intimidate(DC20)-spend 2 hours a day actually intimidating gamblers/customers of other houses to come play at the Golden Goblin
Perform(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day performing for customers
Profession Gambler(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day working as croupier or dealer at the Golden Goblin
Spot(DC15)-spend 2 hours a day looking for cheaters
Finally you can give Saul a bonus to his Profession check by donating gold to the cause.Every 50gp donated Saul gets a +1 for that week check, up to a max of +5 for 250gp.

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

At the morning, Larur sends a voice for everyone sleeping in the hall, this includes all of you,two bouncers and the beast-handling half orc from the underground arena. The dwarf waits for all of you to have fully woke up, took his/her things and had breakfast, then says :
"Good morning folks,Sunday today, but we cannot afford to relax.Saul's away, and he charged me with hiring new people, shouldn't take too long, but for today we have no profit to stash away"
"Saul also asked for you to go out in the city and discover something on what people thinks to do with the house now, if there'll be new customers, how to make sure there will be new ones, after all this is what we are here for no? making money <laughs>"
"Leave this to ya how to handle it,just don't really hurt anyone, unnecessary crimes are not well seen by Riddleport Overlords"
He salutes with a hand gesture "Have fun guys and girls"

Rast Hilden |

Coming downstairs, Rast greets those who were there with a grunt. Not much of a morning person, it took him having some breakfast, along with a half pint of ale, before he was ready to talk and the sour face was replaced with his usual cheer. "So we hit the town and see what it is people want out of Gold Goblin? Sounds good ta me Larur."

Sanya "San" Icefloe |

Sanya, dulliy eyeing Larur adds after a yawn
Only when I get to wear one of these costumes. then as if suddenly awakening Ummm, but rather, I mean maybe. I'll just stick to my normal clothing, who knows what the people of this wretched town think I'd like to invite them to...

Darius Pope |

Darius listens to the man's speech, but plans to spend his day walking around the city. He has no intention of trying to lure anyone into sin.
Sorry about the slow post. Work's been weird this week. Just so you know. If I plan on ever leaving the game, I would tell you. I'm here to stay.

Gysseannia |

I hope it wasn't me that slowed down too much, but Darius,Bombur,Gysseannia and Gorag have disappeared
I posted in character yesterday. It was there last time I looked, but now it's gone. That is the second time this has happened in the last week now in two different threads. I'll post again.
Gysseannia follows the others downstairs. She stays near the door and silently listens to the conversation.

DM Ankoku DaiShogun |

Just as all of you are going to exit the gambling hall, Larur makes it in haste back to you.
"Yeah, i almost forgot....there is this Beltias Kreun, damn his mother and the back alley where she sells herself.I caught him several times trying to cheat on our tables, and last time me' men were going to give him the trashin' he deserves, but that slippery mother*****r managed to flee.
He lives somewhere in Splithog Alley Ghetto;if ya find the time to,get him, make sure he returns the 100 gold he owe us and make sure he learns that he is no longer welcome here"
"Good hunt"

Sanya "San" Icefloe |

Sanya smiles a very wicked smile Oh great, some wetwork to do, heh! then she scratches her forehead, looks to Rast and adds Oh dear no one laughs, mhhh? They really mean harm to this man, eh?
Thinking to herself
[i]We should warn him...100 Gp is quite alot of money, maybe we could pretend not having found him...[/b]

Gysseannia |

He lives somewhere in Splithog Alley Ghetto;if ya find the time to,get him, make sure he returns the 100 gold he owe us and make sure he learns that he is no longer welcome here[/b]"
Gysseannia perks up at this news. 'Then he shall be found and the message delivered.'
