Clockspinnings [Spacefaring Adventure]: What Would You Like To See?

Hey everyone,

Thanks again for the feedback over on our voting page. We've made a few decisions since Friday and the one that came up the most was: Which adventure would hit the most unexplored territory.

Well, that would be Clockspinnings.

However, we saw that there was a high number of votes for some of the other Adventures and we definitely don't want to just ignore that fact. We've found that Underheln and Azure Abyss (to some degree) can add parts to an adventure spanning a multitude of planets.

We know Gravewalker was drawing a lot of interest, but we decided to keep such an idea for when we've gained a little more experience in the business.

The only question left to ask however, is what would you love to see in a space-faring adventure?

What items, spells and other options do you think should definitely be included?

Do you want rules for spaceship combat?

Do you want new alien races? Templates?

Do you want a full arsenal of space-tech weaponry and armaments?

And what about the adventure itself? Should this be a sandbox galactic exploration adventure, or would you rather follow a direct story, much like the APs? A mix of both?

As well, as a current student of Astrobiology, I`m giddy with the thought of being able to apply real life studies to an adventure!

We're making tons of new stuff up already, writing up ideas and planning some anomalous space encounters but we'd love your input on this idea!

As well, are there any sourcebooks you think we should use?

We're also debating on how we should implement tactical combat. We want it to feel unique, while staying simple enough to not have to require pages and pages of material!

Any ideas?

Id like to see giant robots of some sort, whether they be Battletech-style or Gundam-style.

As a playable race, enemy creature, plot point or equipment?

Equipment, I mean piloted mecha.

One thing I'd check out is the Spelljammer: Shadow of the Spider Moon article from Dungeon #92 (aka Polyhedron #151) available in PDF from Paizo. It offers a quick d20 version of Spelljammer set in a single "Pulp" star system, while ditching many of the more facepalming aspects (crystal spheres) of the original system.
