Changing sizes of a race

Homebrew and House Rules

if i wanted to play a half-orc who picked up the racial heritage feat for halfing and wanted my character to be small would i just give him the small properties or would i need to adjust his ability scores as well?

A half-orc probably doesn't qualify for Racial Heritage - see the FAQ. But the text for Racial Heritage itself calls into question that FAQ entry. Madness ... OK, next, if you wanted to play a human who picked up Racial Heritage (halfling), you would be considered both a human and a halfling for purposes of qualifying for feats and traits, and for the effects of spells and magic items that specifically affect humans or halflings, but you would be a Medium-size halfling with the ability score adjustments of a human.

well my question is if i decided to what would the adjustments be for making my medium character size small

Why don't you just add the young and the advanced template on the character? Also most people would be smart enough to disallow something like that.

the way you put that sounds insulting just so you know.

How do you propose to do that? I don't want to make unwarranted assumptions.

the idea is that he was born that way due to the halfling lineage. he was just born small

Sorry. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

But would you allow a character to gain Dexterity +8, Intelligence +4, Wisdom +4 and Charisma +4, just for decreasing the size one step?

Howzabout just doing it the simple way and making a Small half-orc using Small race adjustments ? Halflings aren't created by making advanced young humans, after all :)

no, i was figuring the character would gain the +1 to attack and AC, the _1 CMB, CMD, and the +4 stealth and lowered carrying capacity

and at most a -2 str and a +2 dex
