This isn't about paladins being blasted. It's about a blasty paladin!
How well do you thing a paladin/caster build that smites with attack roll spells would work? How would you put it together?

Paladin19/Sorcerer1. Any spell that deals damage and has an attack roll would benefit from smite evil. It's doable but not very useful.
You'd be better of playing a caster with three levels of Chevalier. You'd only get one smite per day, but it's at full character level. I'd still rather play a full paladin or caster, though.
