The Exemplar Base Class is now in Alpha.
The Juggernaut looks like it should be out this week after Andreas and I had a developer brain storm session yesterday to finish out the remaining class features. Now it's just a matter of putting it all together.
We're also starting to put together our list of artwork we'll be needing so we can start getting those commissions going. :)
The summary of the Exemplar is that he uses a philosophical ideal as a mental focus, which enhances his latent psionic abilities, creating a cascade of power. This manifests as an aura which enhances the ideal's concept in those around them. These people tend to become warrior-leaders, leading their allies from the front ranks. Some find other ideals, like the preservation of life, and become bodyguards to great leaders.

It all looks great.
Any plans to to a rogue type psion? WotC did one for 3.5. You can find it here:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b
I always loved it. Between the psion, the psychic Warrior, the chirurgeon and a psychic rogue you would have all the bases covered for a psionics only setting. Just saying.
Question, do you plan to adapt the gem dragons at any point? They were completely left off 3.5 if I recall and the 3.0 versions are woefully out of date.
Lastly, I've heard that WotC may not have rightful copyright of githyanki. Apparently George R.R. Martin came up with the name long before TSR ever included it in the Fiend Folio. I'd love to see WotC lose control over that race. It's much too cool and woefully underused.

We're still figuring out if we're going to do a "stealthy" class. One of our fans has been working on one that we've taken an active interest in. You can see his work here.
As for Gem Dragons - those were never released as Open Content in 3.0 or 3.5, so they are off the table for updating. We do have some plans for psionic dragons, however, that are being worked on, although not as part of Psionics Expanded. Psionics Expanded is our version of an advanced player's guide, and players don't get much use out of new monsters.
Your point on the githyanki doesn't really help - we'd either be stepping on one person's copyright or another. :) 1977 is still well within the copyright term (especially since GRRM is still alive).

By the way, we're getting an early jump on the credits for folks helping with our open playtest.
Let us know here if you'd like to be included in the credits. :)

I'd love to see some form of a psionic rogue. Take some ideas from the Arcane Trickster PrC and this feat from Freeport Companion for PFRPG pg. 36:
Dimension Drop
You can use your mobility to get the jump on your opponents.
Prerequisites: Abundant step or the ability to cast dimension door, sneak attack +1d6.
Benefit: Whenever you cast dimension door or any other conjuration (teleportation) spell to move to a square that threatens an opponent, you may immediately make a single attack at your highest attack bonus. The target loses its Dexterity bonus (if any) to AC for this attack.
****
It's like a psionic transporation feint, if you will. So much potential. =)

Jeremy Smith Dreamscarred Press |

Urizen - that might work for a stealthy PrC. Syonique has done a tremendous amount of work on the Fatesealer (name subject to change) that we might make use of for our stealthy class... That class, at the moment, is lowest on our priority list given all the other plates spinning for this project.
Such as:
Still working on the overall Tactician, but here's a pretty significant change as has been discussed...
Strategy: At 4th level, and every three levels thereafter, a tactician learns a new tactical strategy, granting him special abilities in combat. Unless specified otherwise, using a strategy is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Strategies are orders or suggestions that the tactician issues to members of his collective. If the collective member follows the tactician’s strategy, the tactician gains some benefit – being able to take a specific action, a bonus to a roll, or similar. Strategies may be used a number of times per day equal to 3 + the Tactician’s Intelligence modifier.
The tactician chooses his strategy from the list below.
Into the Fray: The tactician directs a member of his collective to charge a particular enemy, granting the ally a +1 competence bonus on the damage roll. If the charge is performed, the tactician may immediately charge the same enemy, gaining a +1 competence bonus on the damage roll. At 8th level and every four tactician levels thereafter, the competence bonus increases by 1.
Directed Assault: The tactician directs a member of his collective to attack a particular target, granting the ally a +1 competence bonus on the attack roll. If the attack is made, the tactician may immediately make a single attack at any target within range. At 8th level and every four tactician levels thereafter, the competence bonus increases by 1.
Reposition: As a move action, the tactician directs each ally in his collective to take a 5-foot step as a free action immediately. The tactician may also immediately take a 5-foot step. This does not count against the number of 5-foot steps allowed in the tactician’s or each ally’s turn. If all directed allies take their 5-foot step, the tactician may immediately make a full attack against any target within range. Selecting this strategy requires the tactician to be at least a 12th level tactician.
Cut and Run: As a full round action, the tactician can direct any number of members of his collective to withdraw. If all directed members withdraw, the tactician may make a single attack at any target within range, or manifest a single power with a manifesting time of 1 standard action or shorter, and also withdraw. Selecting this strategy requires the tactician to be at least a 8th level tactician.
Focus Attack: The tactician can direct a member of his collective to attack a single enemy. If the directed member performs the attack, all subsequent attacks on that target by anyone in the collective deal an additional 1d6 points of damage. At 8th level and every four tactician levels thereafter, this damage increases by 1d6.

We'll be expanding the customization options - some of them tooled specifically for the different armor forms - as well as changing some of the mechanics (hardness will be going away due to balance reasons).

The Beta of the ranged soulknife archetype (working title soulbow) has been posted.

Jeremy Smith Dreamscarred Press |

Psionic Talents are posted.
And a hefty revision of the Aegis (previously juggernaut) is also posted.

Looks great Jeremy!
I had a question about the Aegis ( I like the name ).
How much leeway does the Aegis have over his suit's appearance?
It says pretty muc hthat they look like either psycho active skin, chain or half plate. later on they can buy a customization that gives it frightful presence. How frightening is half plate? How does the fluff for this work? Does it change to look scary only when that ability is activated, or can the Aegis overall decide how his suit looks, as long as mechanicly it's just half plate?
Thoughts?

I think, just like the mind blade, that it's reasonable to say the suit can have whatever aesthetics the aegis wants, although its form must resemble the customizations selected and the form selected and the aesthetics have no mechanical benefit. So no Skin form that resembles full plate with spikes, nor suit that blends in with your surroundings unless you pick the right customization, etc.

I had posted an update to this, but it looks like the gremlins got it.
Anyway...
This project was put on a temporary hold as I work to finish up the Player's Guide to the From the Deep Adventure Path, as well as finalize the material for the first adventure in the Adventure Path.
That project is just about done, so I'll be returning to working heavily on Psionics Expanded soon. :)

As per your request:
Jeremy, do you guys plan on having a "magus" like psion class?
If you aren't planning one, DO IT. Have an archtype that mimics the black blade thats a mind blade kk thanks :)Dunno what you could call it though...
Just to be sure I understand your idea:
A hybrid between the Psion and the Soulknife?
The reason I'm asking is that sounds pretty close to the Psychic Warrior using Call Weaponry (average BAB, 6th level powers, manifesting on an attack using Martial Power) ;)
This might fit as a Psychic Warrior archetype if you can elaborate as to what you'd envision the guy being able to do. :)

Kryzbyn |

Something that mimics this:
Spell Combat (Ex): At 1st level, a magus learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A magus can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.
But if something similar already exists, then that's not necessary...

Jeremy Smith Dreamscarred Press |

Why should spellcasters get all the fun?
I've posted up psionic versions of the APG's metamagic feats for playtesting!
