#790 "Did you prepare Stone to Soft Curvy Flesh today?"

Ooh! All sorts of familiar faces are returning!

Dark Archive

So, Yukyuk the kobold ranger? Yuk.

I see what you did there.

Ha! My phrasing was just a lucky coincidence, actually...

I'm wondering if the drow is being powered by any of the soul splices.

Ranger rogue. He dual wielded crossbows and sneak attacked.

True enough. I was distracted by the whole kobold riding a wolf bit.

Dark Archive

Odds are stacked against our Heroes.

Which means the Linear Guild does not stand a chance.

: )

The world is going MAD => Thog beats Roy

Dark Archive

I think 'Thog elegant in his simplicity' or 'Brawn over Brains' or even 'poor zebrafolk,' would have been a better nonspoileresque link there sir.

Well, we know this fight will go on for at least another one or two strips at least. It's not really a spoiler; Roy hasn't been beaten, but Thog has been beating him...

Dark Archive

Hmmm, a prestige class that lets you add your intelligence to attack or damage rolls, I think thog may be on to something.

Here's hoping the cavalry (that is Elan, Haley, Durkon, Malack (and possibly Tarquin, Roy and Belkar)) show up soon

Oh that kobold is sooo dead.

You don't mess with the sexy shoeless god of war, you just don't.

Oh frak...

Spoiler:
What if he dies protecting Mr. Scruffy? We know he's doomed, and there's a long tradition of him killing kobolds. What if Rich's mixed it up this time because we expect the kobold to become Belkar brand kitten chow.

Grand Lodge

Quick, someone post Matt's theory on the GitP forums so Rich won't use it. :)

TriOmegaZero wrote:

Oh, I thought of it, too...I just wasn't going to risk *saying* it, especially since Belkar's being so blase and overconfident about the LG.

Still, I'd expect at least a simo.

Dark Archive Bella Sara Charter Superscriber

I'm giving 2-1 odds on the LG taking this round.

Unless the Giant wants to remind us how much the Order has grown in bad-assness...

Hmmm...

Scarab Sages

I actually don't mind if the kill of Belkar, so long as Mr. Scruffy makes it all the way to the end.

I'm expecting a body count this time.

Heh, "First blood: Elan."

Grand Lodge

So much for that level of bard.

"You were just playtesting the grapple rules with my brother's tongue!"

I think maybe Elan is learning from his father... this is... scary... he's actually applying Tarquin-like tactics against his brother successfully.

Elan has often been underestimated - even by Elan.

I too recommend Tsukiko ;>

Yeah all he would really need to do now is point out to Nale that he is actually out thinking him. That would absolutely kill Nale to know his brother managed to out think him.

Dark Archive

"Edgy good boys".

HA!

Elan's a bard. He's always been the best judge of human interactions. Knowing how to put a wedge into Sabine and Nale's relationship is perfectly in character.

Yeah... but this is Elan. Mister "Put my foot in my mouth? Now my foot is in my stomach my hip is in my mouth."

Which goes back to what I said earlier. "Elan has often been underestimated - even by Elan."

Don't make the same mistake that Nale is making.

Elan does his best thinking when he doesn't think.

That's the point.

Elan is thinking. And he is Outthinking Nale.

AT LAST!

So I'm wondering...

Spoiler:
Will there be a limo driver with 'R. Barnes' on his sign this time?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

So,

BTW, I have no idea what Matt Morris' spoiler is referring to.

Grand Lodge

Jason:
People being raised from the dead get a limo ride from Heaven. Matt is suggesting Roy will find a limo waiting to take him back shortly, I think. :)

Dark Archive

@ Jason:

1. I was thinking of that thread title even though I have never read a post on that thread ! I spend too much time on these boards.

2. I thought your spoiler would clear up Matthew's spoiler.

@ TriOmega:

Thanks, good memory !

@ Matthew:

You too !

Doesn't help when my memory fails me.

Spoiler:
Last time he came back, there was a limo waiting for S. Rogers. Steve Rogers. James Barnes (I thought it was Richard Barnes) was just killed in 'Fear Itself' Like that will last. Thus the R. Barnes. Should be J Barnes.

That... for me personally... was not worth waiting for.

I liked it.

Even after killing the hero of the strip people still love Thog.

Btw I just noticed that Thog is Goth spelled backwards.
