Grall looks at the ladder going up into the second level to see how it is fixed to the wall?. Why don't we take the ladder from that section and use it to scale the other areas if we can get it off that wall? What if the fire gets out of hand and burns down this sacred temple? he says fearfully

I had a similar thought but looking at the map i assumed that the ladder was attached to the wall and part of the balcony, but i probably should have asked.

"I will try to keep the flames in check by conjuring water. If we can keep the beams damp i hope we can keep the fire from getting out of hand.", Linah replies Grall. "But if you can manage to bring down the balcony i would be grateful."

This is however under the assumtion that most of the temple is stone and all the cloth is concentrated in that corner.

Khalid sighs in frustration...

"Your idea has merit, but even more so now that we are sure everyone can safely be away from the burning debris."

Once everyone is ready and in place, Khalid will launch a fire bolt at the tarp.

Round 9

Linah conjures water in the intersection of the beams of the balcony in hope that it will stop the fire from spreading to the rest of the room. "This is not your domain. This is a home of Sarenrae, godess of the sun. Leave now or perish in the flames!", she shouts at the king but her voice is soon outmatched with Nuveril's taunt.

Standard action to cast Create Water targeted at the intersection of the beams over the balcony.
One round of bless left

Sabeenie-weenie-bo-beenie is up.

Female Human Witch 1

Sorry was waiting to see what super-pug would do. Assuming nothing.

Sabeen takes a move action moving to the east and stopping just before line of sight to the pug group staying in cover. She will take a second move action to reload her crossbow. I'd fortune someone but I don't think anyone has a guaranteed shot

Generally I don't like to split up rounds. I make exceptions for when tactical movement and effects get a bit hairy, but please feel free to declare a held action or declare tentative actions based on possible events in the round. Ex. "If any pugwampis show themselves, I attack with blah blah blah... If they continue hiding, I take cover and allow the fire time to spread blah blah blah..."

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our US players. I will update the round sometime today between gorging myself on roasted bird flesh. *bliss*

Its just awkward as those of us who act AFTER the enemy don't get to see what they do on their initiative count and react to it, which is knowledge our characters do have on their lower init count.

For all I know, a Pug could leap out of a hidden door and stab Sajan, who would still be throwing a shuriken at a Pug poking his head over the balcony. Could wepossibly try initiative 'blocks?'? High init us, them, low init us?

Not that it matters this time as with a roll of a 1 there ain't nout that old strong in the arm and thick in the head could do...

Alright, alright. Starting next round we will split up the action into two blocks.

Assuming Sajan isn't full of arrows etc...

Sajan moves to flank the Pugwampi with Grall and then lunges for the small creature with terrifying speed and ferocity, attempting to initiate a wrestle with the creature.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 VS the things hopefully puny CMD.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 VS the things hopefully puny CMD.

If the check succeeds and the Pugwampi is now grappled-

Grunting as he wrestles the smaller creature, Sajan mutters to his companions- Kill others, Sajan capture this one...

CMD to escape Sajan's grapple is 22...

Female Human Witch 1

Sabeen was going to drop fortune on sajan's likely grapple. Tanner how do you want to play it if I've seen the roll. I'd rather resolve on initiative rather than posting order but don't want to gain an advantage through posting order either. Maybe I should declare intention at the start of the round even conditionally so people know.

I prefer the honor system. Despite seeing the posts for people who act after you in the initiative order, please declare your actions for your turn as though you had not seen them. I feel this is simpler than declaring conditional actions for the purposes of initiative order.

Female Human Witch 1

OK thanks Tanner. If your unhappy at any point with how I am doing it please advise.

Sabeen's gaze fixes on the giant monk as he moves forward and in her mind's eye time slows and then freezes. The cloak of reality is ripped aside and, for a few seconds of future, all potential possibilities are laid bare. In some Sajan chokes his enemy to death, in others he hits or misses with a punch or kick. In some he trips and falls flat on his face.

It hurts as always. Oh how it hurts but straining further she can perceive the pugwampi's unluck aura, a mass of black tendrils radiating from the creature blocking many positive possibilities and enhancing the negative. In some ways it matches her own abilities although the pugwampi does innately what she must struggle to control. With a sweep of her mind a range of the negative possibilities is blown into shards and falls away.

Place a fortune hex on Sajan as a standard action.

Tanner will leave you to adjudicate how the fortune and aura actually interact (ie cancel out or overwrite as a good luck effect).

Female Human Witch 1

Also he has taken 20 damage right? Gralls first and lower attack did the higher 17 hp plus the 3 from last round (whether or not the hex is affecting him).

Staying out of line of sight of the little archers, Sabeen stares at Khalid and focuses her supernatural powers.

So he dealt unarmed damage to Sajan by beating CMD 22 with a CMB check? But yes, that clears it up thanks :). Deduct 5 from my pin attempts, but that will still beat his CMD.

Just checked the attack roll- i'm under the effects of mage armour so he scratches ineffectually and doesn't hit :).

Ugh, I need a vacation. I spent all of Thanksgiving break sick and now our baby is sick. Sorry for the delays/distractions. Yes, Sajan takes no damage. He also narrowly avoids being infected with a nasty disease ;)
