Let me start by saying that I thought this was an awesome book. However, plotholes always bug me a bit, so I had to get this one off my chest. ;)
On pg. 266, the werewolf pack splits. Fane, Milosh, Cosmina, and Baba are all said to leave, while Cezar, Malena, Sandu, and Tatiana stick with Radovan. No problem.
Then, on pg. 303, Leggare finds the remains of Sandu, killed by a trap. I remember thinking, "Damn, down to three werewolves." Tatiana is explicitly mentioned to be shocked at seeing Sandu's head.
On to pg. 305, where both Fane and Cezar are in half-wolf form, and I realize, "Wait, Fane, Cezar, Tatiana, Malena... how are there four again?" So I flip back and, sure enough, Fane was said to leave.
So did I miss the part where Fane came back? There were a few nights where I was up late reading, got drowsy, and might have missed a paragraph, but I don't think I did.
Edit: Checking back a bit, as late as pg. 290, Cezar translates for Tatiana and Sandu, who don't speak Taldane. Fane is not explicitly mentioned, so either he's missing or he can speak Taldane.
Further Edit: Just scanned real quick - Fane isn't mentioned at all between 266 and 305 that I saw.
Obviously, you've discovered that Sandu and Fane are twins. And they like to confuse people who can't tell them apart. ;-)
