I currently have a 7th level Ranger with Undead and Outsider (evil) as favored enemies. He is obviously focused on archery and rarely has to drop his bow. He is definitely the damage dealer of the party.
I had thought about trying the Arcane Archer route, but I really have no desire to take a level in arcane. Plus, I think a straight ranger is still better than an arcane archer. A level in cleric may be more beneficial to my ranger since he prefers to hunt undead.
I have looked through a lot of books (including the APG) and there does not appear to be many prestige classes for a ranger to pick from. I did drop my favored terrain so I could get an undead ability (darkvision) a few times a day. That was nice one. But, I would like to know if there are any Prestige class options that I missed. Particularly one that would fit my character. After all, I do not have ALL the books. :)
