I've been thinking of creating a witch for my home campaign to serve as either an NPC or a fill in character when people are gone. I want to model her after the Aboriginals of Australia, including either a kangaroo or wallaby for her familiar. I'm just trying to figure out what would be the best set up for the familiar. Any ideas on the bonuses either would offer? Thanks.

either being pouch animals, I suspect a bonus on perception.

I think the duck billed platypus would be excellent as a familiar and it being such a versatile creature let the witch choose a bonus that the witch likes........

and nobody suggested jump?
Edit: Jump = Acrobatics, sorry, my expressions are sometimes stuck a bit at 3.5

I was thinking about that, but it seemed a little to predictable. Perception might be a good one, but Acrobatics would definitely be a solid choice.

A Sugar Glider would make a great familiar; use weasel stats, drop Attach (Ex) ability, increase Acrobatics bonus, and maybe give it a fly speed of 5 feet.
