Results given, response before round 3:

Again, his foot seems to lose its placing as a bit of water left on the 'clean' deck causes him to fall onto his back - but this gives him an edge as he seems to be by the port side.

"All hands, prepare for boarders! We've got sea-slick company on our sides - send 'em all to the dark blue depths from whence they came!"

He began to recover himself after his command, and reached to his side, drawing out his blue-steeled cutlass - there was no time to worry about impressions now.

Captain clumsiness and how he seems to be in trouble, causes an idea cross on Avion´s mind [i]What a splendid opportunity. This is a perfect chance to get my first minion... oh, how grateful you are to me, Nerull![i].

Round 3: Smoke on the Water

Storm clouds still gather, but you seem to have hit the eye of the storm. The water here isn't as choppy No balance checks required this round. The shower of stone above seems to have subsided as well. Malformed and bloated creatures claw their way onto the decks and moan soullessly as they scamper and leap onto the deck.

Their darkened skin is slick and covered in seaweed that falls off their twisted forms in sickening slurps and their movements pop and jerk like sickly birds. Clawed hands and feet click on the wooden deck, as they begin to spread out in search of prey, you can see thin wisps of smoke coalesce around them.

They invade both raised sections, and the middle of the boat on all sides. There are a half dozen or more on board now with an unknown number still heard digging their claws into the ship and scampering up to the deck.

Stormfire Check: 1d100 ⇒ 61 under 20 or less is bad.

Round 3 Stations:
Captain Slot: (engaged in combat with 2 creatures, plus 1 that was hiding. It was sent back to the dark water below thanks to Avion's intervention.)
Helmsman: (also in combat, 4 creatures loom over the rails and leer hungrily.)
Repel Team: open, all NPCs on deck are trying to knock them down before they get on the ship.
Fire team: not needed this round.
Spotters: not needed this round.

DM: The creatures have done their actions this round, and need to wait until next round to attack, having used both move actions to climb and board the ship.

Liberty's Edge

@Nerine:

The stench these creatures gives off is overpoweringly nauseous. Smoke pours out from it's mouth as if alive and he tries to belch it onto your face. Due to your poor luck last round he won his first grapple check automatically, and made his attack without provoking, and is now grappling with you.

He is now attempting to pin you to the ships deck and hold you down this round, and needs to roll against your grapple score to do so.

Grapple(pin) attempt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

You'll need to roll against his grapple score to see if you can avoid this. Success means you are not pinned, but still grappling. You can then try to break the grapple if you use your standard action to do so, or do something else as defined on the grappling rules on www.d20srd.org.

@Avion: In addition to keeping him on his feet there was a clawed hand reaching out for his boot as he edged too close to the edge of the ships railings. You were able to easily stomp it hard sending a blacked claw back down into the water with a howling creature bellowing his frustration at being foiled.

They seem weak to slashing and piercing, and from their bloated skin would appear to be resistant to blunt or impact weapons. DR5/slashing or piercing weapons. They seem able to belch forth some kind of mist, your not sure what that does.

In all this excitement, I seem t' have fergotten t' sheath me sword.....(cue certain shark music)...

    Male Half-elf, aquatic Swashbuckler 3

With much dismay to his apparent skill with a blade, he twirls the cutlass once, and slips it back from whence it came, wishing it'd left him a body to inspect. Instead, he receives a sinister phrase from the surgeon, and gives him a wide smirk.

"Of that you are uncertain - I gladly appreciate the aid you had given me, Avion, though I had no need of it. Regardless, do not think a good deed goes unknown - I will remember you had aided me from sliding off my own boat. As for your new companions, we are already packed for space - they can remain on-deck, and do physical labor, but that's all I can afford."

He winks firmly, and moves by Suny with a grin - a knowing grin that he'd have been fine. He does however, stop and pat Suny on the shoulder.

"If you wish to speak, come with me to the helm! I must ensure everyone is fine and that the Brotherhood is in fine shape."

His feet take him up to the helm, and he looks over the whole boat's sails and body from here. He takes a moment to walk along the railings, and comes over by his quartermaster.

"Kai, have you anything to report, besides the obvious? Any happenings that I may have missed?"

    Male River Spirit Druid 3

In the eerie crimson light of the sun Olek Molotva's smooth skin seems to be glistening and his eyes become darker like they are adjusting to the light. He has been standing on the middle of the deck near the railing, watching the combat without participating. He did not have to pull his weapons when the "creatures" came since everything seemed to be under control very quickly. He noticed that Sunny got hurt so he approaches the elf, knowing that it will probably be better if he healed Sunny's wounds, instead of letting the mad surgeon tend to it.
"Let me see your wound, Sunny. I can heal it for you." He pulls back the sleeves of his dark blue overcoat to reveal long, pale forearms bearing the same mysterious tattoos that covers his face, along with a recent cut-wound.
Olek Molotva casts cure light wounds on Sunny.
    Cure light wounds 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
