Gremlins

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I just found out that pathfinder grouped a bunch of evil fey together of different races and gave them the name Gremlins.

Well heres what I have to say about that.

Spoiler:
thats awesome. How far are they going to expand this?

Liberty's Edge

I always thought it was a shame that there weren't any Gremlins in 3.5 (at least not in any of the 100+ books I own).

To that end, where the hell are the Leprechauns?

Actually, it wasn't a group of evil fey. Just some CG Mogwai, but they fed them after midnight.

Gremlins are pretty cool.

I’m not certain, but I think Jermlaine and Mites were always sort of categorised as ‘gremlins’. I might be thinking of earlier editions, though I think these two at least made it into 3.0 if not 3.5.

Apparently Leprechauns are in the Bestiary 2.

Now that you mention it, I do recall the Jermlaines from the Monster Manual II (3.0). Ugly little buggers.

I still don't think I saw Mites until the PF Bestiary, but I don't own EVERY book.

Grand Lodge

Mites are in the original Fiend Folio by James Ward and Don Turnbull, 1980.

This is a bit radical but in my opinion Pathfinder Goblins (god bless you little a#+$%%#s) are gremlins. also leprechauns should be a playable race. if definitely played a gnome and said i was a leprechaun

I do admit they bare a striking resemblance.

Doubtful, most fey arent playable. Plus legend had it that a leprechaun would grant you a wish if you caught it, plus your starting gold would be ridiculous with that giant cauldron of gold... provided you ever got to the end of your rainbow that is.

Yea but you cant have any, so i basically just have this big pot im dragging around, and that whole wish thing is a lie we tell children

how do you make that fancy gray box

i just click reply... then I occasionally edit inside the quotes to highlight the point i am trying to make..

and you better give me some gold...

Midnightoker wrote:

I basically just subbed out my gnome illusions for the fools gold spell, but you can help me carry the old ball and chain.

It's like noble djinn granting wishes. Only the king of the leprechauns has a pot of gold and the ability to grant a wish.

All the leprechaun commoners can give you is a choice between of a bowl of sugary breakfast cereal or shoe repair.

Anyone noticing a lot of double-posts lately?

I blame the Gremlins.

Or that. My point is Goblins and Gremlins should be closely related. Already their names are so similar.

What kind of fool did make 'Create Water' usable at will??? Can you imagine a single gremlin cleric bent on world domination through sheer numbers?

What's he gonna do? Wet my shoes? Scary stuff.

There's nothing troubling at all about Create Water at will.

That is the thing, what does it mean "Don't feed them after midnight." any way? technically the entire next day is after midnight, so what, wait till daylight?
