Perhaps the Publican House will be a good place to meet up with Acorn's character. The back story we are working on is that Eroril and Acorn's character studied together a long while back in the great arcane library in Tar-Kazmukh. Their paths parted when Eroril chose the divine magic path and Acorn's character chose the Arcane path.

Hello Megan, Eroril here. A week or two ago you offered to GM a Legacy of Fire PBP that had lost its GM. I thought I found another GM but he posted two times and now we have not heard anything from him in about a week. Are you still available to take this group on?
Here is the original discussion thread. The last GM changed the character creation guidelines to 25 point buy and 2 traits. Everyone has created their character except for one person who should have it completed very soon.
If its too much to take on now, no problem, Plan B is for me to take over as GM but at this time, I'd prefer to play than GM. Thanks again for the offer.
Ok - Assuming that we are going to sell the remaining items the following day. I come up with the following values (number in parentheses is the full value)
Rapier - 10 gp (20 gp)
Sickle - 3 gp (6 gp)
Short sword - 5 gp (10 gp)
Sap - .5 gp (1 gp)
Light cross bow - 17.5 gp (35g gp)
10 bolts .5 gp (1 gp)
MW Leather armor 80 gp (160 gp)
Studded Leather 12.5 gp (25 gp)
+ 83 gp in chips and cash
For a total value of 212 gp. This would give each of us 42 gold and 4 silver. If you see an error in my values, please let me know. With no objection, we can attempt to sell the items, split the proceeds and then investigate and shop.

Also, once we get back to the goblin, we can split up the gold from the items we sold. We have 212 gp to split, although I don't know if it will be 4 ways or 5.
I have no one else in mind. I don't mind going back into the gaming connection for another. After all, that it was brought me into the fold. I think a bardic type would be nice. What does everyone else think?

Sunday night. Looks like we have 4 to choose from, all are decent choices and any would work. I rank them as the following:
1) James Martin - bard
2) Talomyr (Andrezi Zeldana) - bard
3) martinaj - cavalier
4) Clifford Strauss - rogue
I agree that all could work. I think for our party's needs, one of the bards would be the better choice.
I would probably put Talomyr's bard slightly ahead, but both of them would fill the role nicely.
I think it is between:
James Martin - bard
Talomyr (Andrezi Zeldana) - bard
I like both really and can throw my vote in for Martin, due to the combat aspect of his bard.

I don't remember the point buy, James, but you can look at the alias I am posting with and extrapolate it out, if you want. Remember, I have racial bonuses already built in.
Okay, this is Diego Dellarillos, my bard. As soon as I know about starting wealth, I'll be good to go.
Welcome to the our party! I believe that when we brought Cephadrel in he used starting wealth of a 2nd level character, so that would be 1,000 gp. We just sold some gear that was confiscated after the Gold Goblin ruckus. I think if we split that among Ironleg, Kozaric, and myself,it will bring us closer to the wealth that you and Ceph have.
That would be 70 gp each for the three of us. Ceph was given a few magic items from the original items confiscated.
Is this fine with everyone else?

How do you want to be introduced? My suggestion is that you have been hired by Mr Vankaskerkin and you are waiting for our return. We can do the obligatory introductions while we wait for Megan to return.
I have no problem continuing over the holidays, but if it presents a conflict for others, I am ok with a brief hiatus. If we do that, we should define the restart clearly so that we all are back at the same time.
I should be available to post, but if the others want a Christmas break, I am cool with that as well.

Great, we are all still here.
As I am still new to PBPs I'm not sure if the slow pace of this PBP is the nature of PBPs in general or this PBP in particular. It seems we are floundering a bit for a direction. Our investigations have not turned up any leads nor have there been any events to initiate action.
Any suggestions to get this PBP back on track?
This is the slowest moving game I am in, and I think that is the problem. It's tough to get a real foothold in a game only making a post or two per week, IMHO.
I know Megan is busy with the job search, but we have to have more active posting from the DM, if the game has any chance on continuing. That's just my opinion...
