Demona is ready and able to serve.
"Charming: +1 to Bluff and Diplomacy and +1 to DC of language-dependent spells against creatures that could be sexually attracted to her."
Oh great, one of those "how long is a piece of string" abilities :-P. Now I have to decide the sexual orientation of every NPC in the city LOL.

She's just so sexy that even the local zombies and animated furniture is sexually attracted to her, so no worries!

Morning. Thank you for having me. Where would you like me to put Calatin's character sheet?
Go to 'My Account' and look at the section on Messageboard Aliases. Create a new alias for your character. Then, you can click on his name to edit his profile - put your character sheet there. Then you can use that alias for posting in the game thread.
Click on Demona's name above to see what I mean.
(And does he even, er, know how to Do It once he gets to meet Demona?)
He has probably seen diagrams.
Foggy |
Did I miss rules for HP and cash? If so, could you repeat them for us?
I'll flesh out Foggy's background more as we go.

Standard wealth for a 2nd level character is 1000gp, so you have that much to play with.
Hitpoints are max for first level as normal, plus you can roll or choose the average for 2nd level.
As regards the other question, I don't know the film you refer to, so you'd better describe exactly what you have in mind.

On the plus side, it would provide a good hook for you. On the minus side it might all too easily lead to player conflict. Of course that depends mostly on how you use the hook. If you're not comfortable with it we can drop it entirely. Or I can write the "aunt" into Foggy's background and you can pick her up at a later date if she decides to call in an old favor.

** spoiler omitted **...
Ultranitpick - the relevant craft skill for crossbows is weaponsmithing, not bowyer! Maybe that's why it took him so long.
Just switch it out on your char sheet.

Spellcraft needs a class skill bonus.
Well spotted! Thanks...
... it was in the middle of the skills that the system dropped me & I had to redo that bit...
... so now added.
Edit: Blast, keep forgetting to change who I'm posting as!
waynemarkstubbs |
Calatin has an extra Divination spell each day of each level.
He also has the following Diviner abilities:
Forewarned (Su): You can always act in the surprise round even if you fail to make a Perception roll to notice a foe, but you are still considered flat-footed until you take an action. In addition, you receive a bonus on initiative checks equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1). At 20th level, anytime you roll initiative, assume the roll resulted in a natural 20.
Diviner's Fortune (Sp): When you activate this school power, you can touch any creature as a standard action to give it an insight bonus on all of its attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum +1) for 1 round. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence
Also, please explicitly call out his opposition schools.

Umm, just noticed that no-one has ranks in Heal. This would be very useful for identifying injuries, diseases, poisons etc. Does someone want to retcon their character to have it?
Alternatively, you can choose to have an NPC medic who can examine the bodies you bring back to HQ.
Wow, how'd we miss that one. Well I'm not the best for it with my Wisdom penalty but I think it makes a lot of sense for Rufus. I'll drop his UMD.
By the way, on these boards you can type [ ooc] [ /ooc] to make your text blue. It's pretty universally understood to be OOC thoughts.
Demona Flint |
I could swap a skill point out for heal for Demona, but it doesn't really fit with her background as a bounty hunter and snitch. She's more focused on the people skills information gathering than examining bodies.
Calatin ab'Halla |
Aaargh, I lost more than I thought... I'd put those down. Now re-edited, thanks. (Problem with a eidetic memory, don't always notice that I haven't written things down!).
I know about setting defaults, but I'm playing in another game and DMing one on here as well; and my main occupation on here is posting reviews, and so stick to 'Megan' as the default, thanks.
I'll switch Knowledge (Engineering) for Heal and do the ME role, if you like.
And I found the IC thread, nice start :)

Have they been given any sort of identification or credentials to use with witnesses to prove that they work for the City Watch? Also, are they required to wear any sort of uniform?
Thirdly, for a few of the pbp's I run and play in, iKve made up google campaign sites, where all players and GM can upload files and edit databases of notes and NPCs, etc. With this sort of campaign, it seems like an even better idea, so that we can keep track of clues, information on witnesses, suspects, etc. With GM approval, I'll make up a site like that for this game, though probably won't have much time until Monday or Tuesday.

I'm wondering about Calistria's temple and Foggy's relationship to it. It could be a rich mine of information and RP possibilities. Do you want me to write it up myself, or give me some guidelines to write to, or write it yourself, or push it into the background all together.
Demona Flint |
Putting the site together. I need e-mail addresses from everybody to grant access when I finish, preferably gmail accounts if you have them, but otherwise any email address you can sign into will suffice.
Either post them here or email them to me privately at gmnazard@gmail.com
Nazard |
Nazard, very nice! It looks like you've done this before. So when we log in we can just scribble anywhere we like?
You're able to edit and add pages as you see fit, but I don't think you're able to edit the sidebar to make links show up. If you do create pages, pay attention to the location stuff, put it where you want it, and let me know here that it needs to be linkified in the sidebar. Of course, feel free to upload files to the library that you think might be useful.
If Mr. GM could tell me what year this is, I can put up an editable Golarion calendar where we can note important events.
Feel free to add anything pertinent to the Clues page for Episode 1.
This site is a template provided by someone on the Paizo messageboards. Credit where credit is due...

@Demona - ah, so you teach too! What subject?
Me it's computing, but I got laid off in December 2009 and am still looking... interview on Monday :)
I was reminded of one day in my old college, wandering through the library and spotted a student who was in my tutor group, only at that time he ought to have been in a business studies class.
"Oi, Bob... why aren't you in class?" Flurry of excuses. "Well, get yourself to business right now or I'll tell your personal tutor," and I walked off.
I got halfway across the library before the penny dropped.
"But you ARE my personal tutor...!"
(He was a blond, too.)
