Shadow Lodge 5/5

Hey everybody,

I've been getting a number of messages lately related to joining my listed PFS game here in the Twin Cities. In fact, I've received enough messages in the last couple of months to start up a second local group. I think at this point we're up to 15 local players in my circle. While my Wed. games are full, if anybody is looking for PFS games here in the cities, or if you also have a number of players and want to start "crossing the streams" with the PFS groups, there are a number of us to contact.

Feel free to give me an e-mail (my address is in my profile) or post here. We're always looking for more.

Sovereign Court

Where exactly do you guys play at normally?

Shadow Lodge 5/5

Alternating Wednesday nights are in my basement. The new monthly Sunday game is scheduled for a FFG Event Center private room. We have a number of people who enjoy GMing though, so working with an existing group to bring them into the fold wherever they game is also a possibility.

Sovereign Court

I know we have people interested in playing/running up in Anoka at Village Games but we have a hard time getting traction. Nothing going on at the Source, really?

Shadow Lodge 5/5

The Source just ran the "Summer of Pathfinder". An ongoing campaign every night of the week all summer long. The advertising has stopped though and I haven't tried getting PFS games going there yet. It's my goal to eventually do so, but I have to find the people, time, and space (since it's not completely easy to get space there). I actually wonder if one of the other game stores in the city might not be willing to host regularly.

Anoka's a bit far for me (I could never run there on a weeknight), but I could be convinced to do it every once in awhile on a weekend, or find a more middle-location gaming spot to get together if people were interested other days.

2/5

I'd be happy to run some up at Village Games...once my fantasy football drafts are finished. ;)
The Source isn't too bad of a trek either...

I got yer back Senor Slanky. ;)

5/5

I live in Eau Claire, and would certainly be interested in making the trek to the cities from time to time for some Pathfinder Society... the Source would be a great venue...

Shadow Lodge 5/5

Our first Sunday session went well. We're going to try to run monthly and at this point we have five players. If we can get enough players, I'm sure I can convince Spetum there here to help out and round up two tables.

Yes,the sunday event went well. no one died even though we chose to play up this week. a couple got real close and my alchemist got to play "king of the hill" with a couple of ruffians and finished the night looking like a pin coushin.

As for the Fantasy Flight Center (which is about a mile or two away from the Source), the rooms can hold 5 players and a DM comfortably. In our case, we had 6 players and lets be frank, we didnt skip breakfast this morning...

so we moved out of the room to the open area on a mezzanine and had plenty of space to stretch out. the place is quieter than the source IMHO. More serious gamers, less pokiemunchkin.

The plan would be to start getting multiple tables going once a month. have like an "event" where we can bring more in. Ryan is leading the charge.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

We have another up-coming low-level event on Sunday September 26th up at the FFG Event Center. If there is interest, I believe we have one seat available for sure, but if enough people clamor at the opportunity, I could probably draw on some other GMs to get multiple tables going and add in another 7 seats should things get hairy.

Contact me if there's interest.

Just a bump and reminder to anybody interested. Our low-level Sunday group is meeting this Sunday at noon at the FFG Event Center for a (likely) Sub-Tier 1-2 scenario. As of right now, I have one seat still open.

Also, could somebody please fix my hideous misspelling of "Minneapolis" in the header? That's just embarrassing.

Dark Archive

The Fantasy Flight Event Center is reserved for the 26th, noon to 6. One player will be a bit tardy as he is coming from church.

Ill be playtesting the Magus.

Hey MisterSlanky! Anyone in your normal groups truck up from the south end of the Cities? I'm down in the SW corner, looking for others.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

I'm actually located in Richfield personally. Our Sunday group hails from (I believe) as far south as Lakeville, as well as a few people out in Maple Grove, and the East Side.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Are you guys going to be running any events at Con of the North? I usually attend and it would be cool if I could get in at least one game with my PFS character.

We have enough time, I am sure we can set something up if we put our minds to it.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

I could certainly be cajoled into helping set up and run this and GMing multiple sessions. I'd need to be put in touch with the Con of the North people though.

I'm hiding down in Chaska. Mostly closed off by flooding.

Are there going to be any PFS scenarios at Con of the North? I can come and run something if you still need any GMs.

I did not get events submitted for Con of the North and im pretty sure i have plans that weekend so i'm not king to be able to this year. We continue to have monthly (at least) sessions though.

The Exchange 3/5

Hello, I'm a long time 3.5 gamer with some light Pathfinder experience looking to join some society sessions. I live a few blocks from The Source, so Fantasy Flight is very doable. I will be attending The Con of the North and have several gamer buddies that I hope to introduce to the Society.

I need to check our table numbers for our upcoming session and GM availability, but we'll be playing again on Feb 20th (yes I know it coincides with CotN). Details will follow.

MisterSlanky, this would be the right time for more information. I'll be up in the Cities this weekend, and would like to attend your sessions if possible.

You may contact me via my e-mail address (which is in my profile), post here (I check often enough), or you can simply show up. We meet at Fantasy Flight Games in Roseville at noon on Sunday Feb 20th. We have two tables at this point, both will be running The Devil We Know, Part III.

We also have a listing on the PFS search engine (which hopefully is working).

Slanky, they are predicting 12 inches of snow on the ground by the time our game kicks off. should we punt till next week? Man, i wish winter was over.. it certainly screws with our schedule.

PS, PFS rocks in Minneapolis, we need a regional coordinator.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

Ill make the call tomorrow when i get up and see the latest weather. My call is a 75% chance we will have to cancel and reschedule. Aah winter in Minnesota.

Hmm. 14" (350mm) on the ground. I say the call was right. Although, it was mighty boring being locked up in the house for two days. got a lot of reading done.

Just an update:

We have our large monthly game at the Fantasy Flight Games event center scheduled for March 20th at noon. If you are interested in playing, as always, please send me an e-mail at the address listed in my profile.

Also of note, I am looking for more full-time GMs to help out. The players have been fantastic and are willing to lend a hand, but if there are any full-time GMs wanting to run games in the Twin Cities area, I'd love to have them join in. I'm hoping to get the game running twice a month, but my primary co-GM and I can't swing it without some help.

Dark Archive

Bumping this to let everyone know we have a two tables going on March 6th and two tables on March 20th (so far).

Bumping again to let all know that we have 3 tables set aside at the Fantasy Flight Event Center in Roseville for PFS play on Sunday 1 May 2k11. The event center has also advertised on their website for our game and now they carry Paizo product in their store. Talk about sharing the love with Paizo!

I'm in Richfield as well and have been thinking about joining the society now that my regular campaign has concluded (suck it Karzoug!) after 14 months.

Have you ever considered Tower games as a hosting venue? They have mostly mini wargame tables upstairs but the downstairs is set up for roleplaying.

Stopping in at Tower Games again is on my to-do list. The owner wasn't around when I was there last, then I got sick and couldn't make it back in. I'll try to drop in this week. If you're interested in joining us for our bi-weekly local games, write me directly (vcbolduan@gmail.com) and I'll fill you in!

I might have to stop by and scout out the store this weekend. Do they have plenty of tables to run games there? i see one that looks like its made for warhammer minuatures in the photos.

Grand Lodge 5/5

Do not forget that there is now weekly tables at "the Source" as well. So between Ryan and I... we got PFS going fairly well. The Source is on every Sunday, Noon to 6pm. (Except for Sunday, May 8th... that week there is a Magic Tourney going on). If you are interested... please let Ryan or I know which one or both if you like on what you would like to attend. Or as some mentioned here... there is more stores that can have offerings too :)

Do the games run 6 hours per mod? or do you expect to start late?

Grand Lodge 5/5

I usually give an hour to late people, so the typical start time is 1pm. It also gives a little time in case something comes up too. This is the reason for the 6 hour slot.
