It was so easy to find the threads I have posted in. Now that the dot is gone to dot-heaven, I really miss it... :`(

The dots shouldn't be gone, but I've just rewritten a giant portion of the code that runs the website and may have missed something. Can you give me an example of a thread that should have a dot but doesn't?

Dots from old threads I've posted in are still there, it's just new threads I'm posting in that don't receive their dot. Yesterday it was a bit erratic (some threads got dots, some didn't), but today it seems that no new threads get dots.

Mine aren't showing up either. It's only affecting threads I first posted to recently (I can confirm Monday 9/6 - Wednesday 9/8). Threads I have posted in on or before 9/1 seem to be unaffected and the dots are there.

Seems like the server/code that assigns dots to new threads is slacking off somewhere. Did someone let it go on vacation without getting a temp to cover for it?

Edit: Posts added to threads today are also not prompting the dot to appear.

I've revamped the dots code a bit. I think this rewrite should fix most problems we've been seeing with missing dots going forward.

I don't know if the new code is better at directing the dots, found a new source of dots, or gives one to Vic for his art for every one that makes it to the boards.
