So I've SKIMMED through the new players book and the one thing that struck me was there's alot of fun stuff in it. From the witch (CANNOT WAIT TO PLAY ONE)to the magic items such as the old gender girdle to the castle in the sky. It just seemed to me that its full of fun stuff.
I still feel that 3.5/pathfinder breaks up at very high levels, but man alot of fun stuff.
I'm a sucker for wide-ranging collections of "new stuff". Unearthed Arcana is one of my favourite books, for instance. The Advanced Player's Guide fits right in.
So much of the book brings back something old and rejuvenates it. The archetypes remind me of the old Kits from ad&d. I also love the elemental spell use the element more literally. And all the class are great. Pathfinder as managed to bring back stuff that was fun from old editions and put in lots of new stuff.
And you are right higher level start to fall a part, I am going to start a thread about it right now.
