Wish I could post this in the appropriate thread but 'hell no' -
Weird dichotomy. People that don't 'believe' in God, 'believe' Him to be all kinds of bad things and 'responsible' for all kinds of bad things if He (or She) exists, including present day trials, big and small. Also, anyone that believes is somehow responsible for the sins of the Father or any previous believers. People that believe in God, believe in the type of God that they are comfortable with. Good and bad for some. No doubting that a lot of bad has been done in God's name. But if you don't believe, isn't it just that Man is bad? If He doesn't exist, how can He be?
So is it really the existence of God that causes the arguments? Or the manner/articles of belief? Or the degree of the blinders people wear?
Just rambling. This is not the right thread, but I had these thoughts pop into my whacky brain. And I am not posting in that cesspool.

D&D Encounters is like D&D light. Basically little to no chance for roleplaying 1 encounter of combat per night. I prefer my tuesday night gaming sessions by far.

A lot of our sessions don't even have combat, and we do a lot of RP online when we can (if people respond). What do you guys run on tuesday? It's 4e, right?

Currently yes, I am running it by player request. There was a good amount of player RP going on. I had to introduce 2 new players and the NPC Cleric said that he was taking off (mainly because he would have made things too easy). So the new players got introduced and the old players had to retreat from the battlefield because of daunting battles. I keep encouraging good RP, but we still had 2 huge encounters this session.

I have to add: the split infinitive is NOT grammatically incorrect. It is a stylistic preference, based on the fact that "splitting" an infinitive is impossible in Latin. But we're not writing Latin here, folks.
"We're splittin' infinitives as fast as we kin, Cap'n, ba tha overload will destroy the main Strunkian-Veiss style buffer b'fore too long!" {has another shot of Jameson}

Wish I had used a spoiler tag on that before I went to lunch.
But hell yeah. Thx for the sanity check.
Just melancholy today. Layoffs at work. :(
I say kill them all, let a possible higher power sort them out or not. ;)

Agreed. I used to be a staunch proponent of latinate English, but have reconsidered. I am also slowly coming to the conclusion that the stricture against ending a sentence with a preposition is obsolete, given its common usage and the fact that it is readily understood by native speakers.
(As long as the preposition is not superfluous:
"I can't remember where this letter came from." Ok.
"I can't figure out where my book is at." Nails on a chalkboard.)

There is only so much of that I can handle on a given day. Less if they are from Jersey.

Dashing thru the threads,
With a meathook in my hands,
Love the shades of reds,
And the music of the bands.
Oh, the songs they play,
Make me want to dance,
And people I will slay,
They don't stand a chance?
With words they aim to hurt,
And my hook it is so sharp,
The blood it will a squirt,
They ought to be playing LARP.
tra la la.

AHAHAHA!
Rudy, the red-assed poster,
Had a serious axe to grind,
And if you let him say it,
You would likely lose your mind.
All of the other posters,
Used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudy
Be smnrf-free in his butthurt games.
Then one frosty Christmas eve,
Gary came to say:
Don't let Rudies be a drag,
I give you the gift of FLAG!
Then all the posters loved him,
As they shouted out with glee:
Gary the PostMonster General,
Now a new subforum's what we need!

Actually this one is yes. I have someone running a variant ranger as a scout.
Edit: They seperate into specific module for Encounters allows these variants.

Sigh. And the kidlet drama continues. The only reason he isn't suspended is because the principal was gone today. He was biting the teaching assistant repeatedly. Given that there is only two days before Christmas break strongly considering just pulling him out myself and let him start break early.
Ugh. You have the patience of a saint.

Hey! No singing with your mouth full. And I think you've got some mistletoe stuck between your teeth. ;-)

O_o
Your kidding right??
When the amigos say a dirty joke at work, I have them follow it up with "I just said an Urizen!!!!!"
Schweet! You've made a literary character from William Blake into a sexual innuendo meme! =)
