After that we decided he should only game well Rammstein is playing.

What did the FAWTLies get for Christmas?

My mother decided that she was going to give me a five-pound bag of unshelled pecans and a big furry hat that makes me look like a Russian diplomat. I think she may be going senile.

On the other hand, though, my girlfriend bought me the first season of Burn Notice on DVD and a custom-engraved Zippo lighter. I love her.

Happy New Year. :)

And, as predicted, I am totally cheerful and happy today.

I made crispy duck for a special new years treat. So very yummy. Although it's gonna take awhile to finish all this since neither Bryce nor Dan like duck. Their loss. It's delicious.:)

Are you actively trying to warp their little minds, or is it just a by-product of all the insanity flying around?

Not really.

My girlfriend flew to Seattle to visit her family on Christmas morning, and will be staying until Monday. In the mean time, I've been back living with my mother, working twelve-hour shifts at the garage, and trying not to vomit from worry over money problems.

Sorry I've been gone, I've just had a lot of shit to work through.

I tend to use it more in novelty situations - despite the video ad implying otherwise - as I don't want to have questions brought up concerning whether it's weighed / balanced properly.

You could always just do a chi-squared test to figure out if it's a fair die.

Some joker at work thought it would be a good idea to tune in to the Sirius pop-country Christmas channel. I had to listen to that shit for six hours in the truck shop.

There's a remix of Rammstein's "Ich Will" called the Westbam mix. I call it "Rammstein done by Cylons."

It rocks.

The roaches were my little friends when I lived in Savannah. I have a sketchbook somewhere that is about half-filled with drawings of roaches.

Our journey has begun. We're at the airport, waiting for our flight. Looks like we'll be accompanied by a dog in the cabin. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but this one lets out sonic bursts at random intervals. It literally sounds more like shrieking metal than a dog barking. That's not a sound I want to hear on the plane. ;-)
Your pics look great, but it amazes me that you're leaving someplace nice and sunny to go elsewhere.
Thanks. It is kind of weird. The weather in Florida and the Bahamas is pretty similar to what wee have, here. But we're going for the cruise, not to escape the weather. ;-)

Taco Dinner, then eating an Easy Bake Oven cake.... Arden wanted to use her "really for real oven" to bake her own birthday cake. She's so excited about being 6, she's "a big girl now you know". :D
Happy Birthday to Arden! :)

I have finally been able to look through this module called the Lonely Coast by ragingswan press.I have to say I am very impressed. Just thought to share. Looking forward to Seeing some FAWTL work in the near future though :)

I just posted this on Facebook, but just in case you don't have access to Facebook (not sure who that would be), I thought I'd share it here as well.

It's a movie that was taken earlier today not far from our house regarding the insane road conditions from the snow we got today.

(Hopefully I won't have to go to work tomorrow.)

Warning -- whoever took the video has a bit of a "potty mouth". Probably won't bother anyone here, but just in case you don't want little ones to hear...

Classic! At least the interstate was in good shape.

Year stared badly. Had a severe anxiety attack at work. I tried to power through it, customers though I was being intentionally rude and started acting up. An hour and a half later I had a total meltdown and had to leave work early. First sick time in almost a year. I think I may be fired and my chest is still tight and hurts, as well as not being able to breath well.

Ye gods!

Over twelve hours and no posts in FAWLTyville? (hmm... new FB game?)

What has happened to us? We used to care about this...

Anyway, here's hoping you all are still as hungover for the second day of 2011 as the first.

Wow!

The Exchange

Long day yesterday. Got to see some good friends from a prior gaming group. We played two games of Betrayal at House on the Hill, followed by a game of Talisman 4 + expansions. We also discussed the groundwork for a new 3.5 campaign this summer while the GM is out of law school. Good day overall.

And today is Kingmaker! Woo!

Happy belated welcome to 2011! No time to post yesterday, we spent most of the day at the Houston Museum of Natural History seeing Secrets of the Silk Road and Real Pirates.

The Real Pirates exhibit was interesting but the Silk Road Exhibit was great!

The next stop for the exhibit is Philadelphia, PA from February 2011 to June 2011 at the Penn Musuem. I highly recommend it.

Edit: And thank you to Mairkurion for planting the seed that I should see this exhibit a few weeks ago.

I have something to talk to the party about that might help in taking down opponents. I am also hearing rumors of threats against Zhairiel.

I'm sorry, man. It's a good thing that is been so long between attacks, but the timing of this particular attack was awful. Here's hoping your job is secure. Do your employers know of your history with panic attacks?

I talked with them today. And where it is a medical condition, they aren't going to take any action.

Wow. I'm glad that your job is not in jeopardy.

I have had a few bouts with insulin shock at work to the dismay of my co-workers and supervisors. A guy hired a year or two after me also had a couple bouts of insulin shock at work and I think they may have decided to not hire anymore insulin dependent diabetics as a result. :(

But, it is good to hear that your superiors are not going to take action.
