however what you did was a good thing. You kept on topic and did in fact get more then just one person responding. Very good questions by the way.

now back to our regularly scheduled hypocrisy.

Just FYI, I've been back. I just don't know if I have anything to add (or help you out with the current "discussion"). Also, I've pretty much put Samnell and Bugley on "ignore" status. There's still too much "you're wrong for believing X" going on ...

It's good to have you back MR. We've enjoyed your pictures of large quadrapedal herbivores!

And I am back. ...wonders what to expect at work tomorrow after being gone for a week...

I posted a few pictures on Redbubble but I've got a lot more to go through. I'll post again when I've finished going through them all. We had a good vacation. (And I'm glad that I opted to end it on Friday to give us a couple days to recover...)

Too bad you're too far away. Made 5 loaves of zucchini bread, 3 loaves of banana bread, and a strawberry/raspberry/rhubarb pie. (Raspberries are from the garden, but didn't have enough on their own, so had to suplement with strawberries.)

Those sound wonderful! Treppa is allergic to strawberries, but she'd probably love some of the zucchini bread. The last time we had any was over christmas, so it's been a while. A friend of ours and his mother have a garden and they've grown the largest zucchini i've ever seen and gave us one.

I'm close enough that I tried to think of a way to get those baked goods anyway. Must be the little bird in me...

Funny stuff! Thanks!

I remember that silly movie and all the trouble it caused us in the day. Oy.

Liberty's Edge

What the hell... I mean, I go to bed at 10:45. I fall asleep in less than five minutes, but wake up at 11:45 because my laptop's on. Not feeling as drowsy, I watch the Spoony video.

Now, I'm awake for the last two and a half hours.

*sigh*

Just ranting here... Hoping to get to sleep.

Scarab Sages

MMmmmmm....morning folks.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

Today is going to be the first day back to work. I would have thought after 5 weeks away, I wouldn't loathe it quite so much. I was wrong.

*blink*

Good morning AZ and CH!

It's always tough to go back to work CH, but to paraphrase Ferris Bueller:

"I don't even have a piece of s%$& job; I have to envy yours." =P

Well, after falling down a hill, Jack and Jill had to quickly explain to Jill's father that they were only up there to "fetch a pail of water". Across town, Mary was horrified when she went to Hansel and Gretel's for dinner and they were serving lamb chops. Meanwhile, Peter and Bo decided to get all funky and.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Ugh, work after 3 hours of sleep does not me want. COffee where?

Still have a bunch of Programs to install and Data to copy over, but already Windows 7 is shaping up to be quite good.
And now I have to go out and install 8 computers tomorrow so there goes my afternoon of rejiggering all my settings and getting everything set up back where I like it.

Starting the work week post...

Good morning everyone.

Already up and ready for shenanigans, but it seems errands are more pressing. Yoiks, and away... yo.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmm.....shenanigans.

I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, "Shenanigans".

Scarab Sages

But, we don't have a Farva around here to say shenanigans for us.

Hello all, I hope everyone is having a great day. So far for me it has been a MONDAY!! I shall however endeavor to grin and bear it.

Liberty's Edge

Aye, today is Monday. But, even though I'm working off 3 hours sleep, it's still going to be better than Thursday/Friday.

For those shall be the days when I'm working and cannot attend GenCon. :P

Dark Archive

Ugh my back is hurting way too much today, and now I'm off for another 9 hour shift at my second job at the corner store. I hate this 25 hours at one job, and 25- 30 at another.

Hmmm...brutality directed against others...is there any better kind?

I'm too lazy to come up with a good joke incorporating the phrase "beating him off", so just take that phrase and do the work yourself. Think of it as a joke toolbox.

Awesome stuff.

The color of some of those flowers is stunning, and the droplets of water on the rosebud is especially well-done.

Silver Crusade

I forgot to mention, I put up pictures on facebook of the rest of our Italy trip (Florence, Siena, and Pisa in particular).

As before, if you don't have me friended on FB and want to see them, send me a request (and include a message saying who you are).

Gooooooooooooooooooood afternoon Fawlty House- FROM COLUMBIA, SC!!!

Had a truly, truly awful flight from the convention to SC. So bad that I'm not even going to get into it, as it will only enrage me further. Let's just say I'm never flying Delta again. I'm not even attempting to recoup my financial losses. This has almost turned me off to flying entirely, and if not for my love for Green Lantern, I'd say I was never flying again, but that may be premature. I'll be going back to my old stomping grounds via Greyhound, and I'm thinking this may be an Acela train, so I'm excited about that.

In terms of SC so far, I'm loving THAT at least. Just went to the mall in Columbia, which was wonderful even though it was only one floor(been spoiled by the mall in Staten Island). I'm with my friend who I have known for 11+ years but never met, and it has been wunderbar. Her son is a typical 5 year old, so he's running around and jumping on the bed and bouncing off of things. She's raising him in a very southern manner in that respect, I'm looking back at my own childhood and seeing the stodgy parenting method my mom used, and it makes me smile. Speaking of mom, I'm going to see my dad tomorrow, which is something I'm truly looking forward to. It's going to be a bit of a hike, especially after the zoo tomorrow, but it's my old man, and I can't wait to see him.

Here's hoping everyone else is having a good time.

My raspberry/rhubarb pie was a big hit.

Hooray! More schedule instability! grumble, grumble

On the up-side, my wife and I just booked a Disney Cruise for next year. We're really excited...and of course, our daughters are, too. ;-)
