I had considered starting my own 3rd party publishing outfit, but I really don't know about that. I do like the idea of the Workshop of the Clockwork Gnome being more than just a Ptolus site. I would need to get off my ass for that to happen though.

I think we'll be needing a new name for it, but it seems we'll definitely go off the rails from the original SpellJammer concept.

I can sorta understand where Darkjoy is coming from. I was a little worried about the cost being too prohibitive, but I didn't want it to be abusable.
These look good. I can see why some might question the cost. I don't think it is prohibitive, but I could see where someone might say they are bit steep. especially for divine casters. However, I think I would fall on the side of "about right" for the cost due to the temporary nature of the cost.
The fetishes filling partial slots is interesting. It does limit how many fetishes one person has but doesn't prevent them from having more than one. I don't think I would have ever considered a mechanic like that.

Yeah, I had this image of a guy with a necklace/belt of ears, teeth, etc., so I wanted to represent that mechanically. I'm glad it came off well. :)

Now, if I did go the route of publisher, I would need to drop the Ptolus site. I have permission from Monte to do it, but I imagine he wouldn't want a publishing company doing fan work. Besides, it would likely cause confusion if I kept it.

Thanks all for the responses, still freaked the hell out though. Gah I must be one of the only gay men in the world who ended up with a child unintentionally. But family is family and it is my niece after all.Ok I need help from you parents out there in 10 months I will be looking after a 2 year old little girl. This arrangement may be permanent and I freaked the hell out. I don't know how to raise a child and I need suggestions of how to prepare.No one ever knows how, Jeremy. It's a learned thing. Patience is key. I don't know the situation, but more than likely the little girl will be scared and unsettled with the change in her life. Acting unsure or nervous will be reflected tenfold by her.
Children need love, attention and structure. Don't make the mistake of thinking she is a very short adult. Children are their own species. She will be doing totally illogical things, but that is how she learns the logical things. Keep a patient mien and an open heart and you will do fine =)
