It's so mind-breaking to attempt to read his stuff. There are real words in there, and sometimes recognizable sentence structure...so I spend time trying to make sense of it...and fail. I can't even look at what he writes for amusement value, it's so bad...

Sorry, CH. Another sucky part of academia. It's got nothing essential to do with you, but I know all to well that it is hard to believe that at times, even when you know from experience that it is true.I know. A fair few of these programs can admit somewhere around 3 new musicology students every year, and get, on average, 75-100 applications.
Mostly, though, it's the locations that aren't lining up the way I guess I was hoping. As most of you know, we've wanted to move out West for a while now, and so far I've only got an admission on the East Coast.
Like I said, though, maybe it will actually turn out better this way. Who knows?
Everything has its purpose and manifests in its own time.
But it is still frustrating. I know how much of a stress the east coast/west coast thing is for you, so I certainly hope it works out for the best. You don't need the stress of school and the external stress working on you at the same time.

Which isn't to say I am specifically wanting you to be slightly overweight and naked just that I don't mind a little weight in a naked individual. But not too much. So chocolate binging is good, especially naked. But I am not saying I am looking for you to get naked, that just about any naked person is good....perhaps I should shut up.

You don't remember? They jammed all these people's heads into microwaves then set them on high for 25 minutes. The whole thing scrambled their music and microphone set up, causing them to sound amazing! You should definitely YouTube it to relive that amazing experience...
