If even once a live action movie could be made that even remotely came close to the level of quality that some of the animated, sometimes even poorly animated, fair does in terms of plot and characterization; I could then embrace the live action show. Sad to say these days when the animated Star Wars is better then the so called Live action movies that are mainly animated anyway.

Wow I am having a soap box day...... I need to stop!
OOPS!

lol. Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. I'm rewatching the Clone Wars cartoons for like the third time (no, I don't love them that much..looks pointedly at small child) and every time I'm just so impressed at how much better the effects are than the live action movies. But then I've always been an animation junkie. :)
I love the Clone Wars animated series, although this season has been slow and preachy beyond belief.
I'm just waiting for the Clone Wars fans to come to the realization that, according to canon, Ahsoka will be killed with Order 66. (if she ain't dead before that...)

It has been confirmed that Ahsoka falls out of the Jedi order shortly before Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Though it is still unknown as to why she leaves the order, and to what happens to her after order 66 is issued. It is rumored that she is one of the hidden founders of the rebel alliance.

I heard a rumor once(did not go back to see, although I have both VHS and DVD copies) that Ahsoka is in the background during one of Mon Mothma's scenes.

If she is, she's been added in like Hayden at the end of Jedi.

Welcome back, Solnes!

Why is it that I think if I start a Muppet appreciation thread someone would vomit their theory on why Muppets are evil on the thread?

Thanks Badger. :)

Ye gads, it took me a good fifteen seconds to realize you didn't mean the composer.

Asoka is so annoying. She's like one of the little kids on iCarly.

Good night, FAWTlies!

I'm off to bed, having just finished adding the Tatzlwyrm to my Hero Lab files. I'm surprised that I couldn't find a file out there on the internets, but making the race wasn't too hard and it gave me a chance to practice with customization.

Now I've got all the creatures for Hollow's Last Hope entered into Hero Lab. All I need to do now is prep the minis for the girls' first full-length Pathfinder adventure.

If anyone can suggest some good pictures of a female human druid, I'd appreciate it. I haven't found any via Google's image search that seem to fit for Tatiana' character, yet.

Later!

Morning all. What did I miss?

Todd and Micah started a brawl at the local grocery store as they wrangled the last Honeysuckle turkey out of the cart of an elderly shopper. Turns out the seemingly frail granny had been trained in secret ninja moves by the government and had a flashback to a frantic escape in the Cold War. After drop kicking Todd she proceeded to 'lay a whuppin' on Micah, until security guards tasered her. The increase in voltage only 'energized' the granny more, and she began looking like Yoda battling the Sith, while quoting Highlander. Oh wait, that was my latest shopping experience...or a dream...

So I have to go to the FLGS today and do the D&D Encounters for tonight. Apparently my buddy Peter doesn't trust others to do it :( Maybe I can TPK >:)

I'm also looking for the druid from Rifts. I haven't seen it, myself, but if you guys are suggesting it, it's probably a good option.

Cheers!

Of course, there's this one, too. I really should be working. ;-)

Yeah, but there's still the chance to TPK to hope for.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve folks. Is everyone looking forward to a couple days off and good foods?

So, who all has big plans for the weekend?

Have fun. Looks like a small crowd today.

I'm just contemplating the need for people to demand perfect solutions in an imperfect world, and their reactions when they, or the world, fail to deliver. And the inability/refusal to try and find a middle ground, and internet asshattery in general... *sigh*

So I could use some lecherous cheering up. Hey honey, can you spare a couple BttH?

Hmm, I like this line. wonder if it would work IRL.

Solnes wrote:

Not big plans, really. I have tomorrow off, but will have the duty on Friday. I normally don't stand duty, but one of the other officers is on leave, so I volunteered. (I'll be transferring before the ship goes on deployment, so I can afford to give someone else more time with family.) Besides, duty on Friday should be slow (hopefully), and I'll still have Saturday and Sunday off.

For tomorrow's meal, I'll be making my usual brined, roasted turkey (using AB's brine recipe ;) ) and mashed taters. My wife will be making her famous mac-and-cheese, her even more famous cranberry relish, and green beans. My "youngest" (by about 1 minute) daughter has decided that we shall have a triple-berry pie with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries...not sure how that will turn out, but her sister's apple-cherry pie from last year was a hit, so I'm optimistic.

As for what we'll do? I'm thinking I'll be putting up Christmas lights, setting up the tree (it's fake, but nice), and maybe a little bit of Pathfinder with my munchkins. :D

I hope everyone else has a wonderful Holiday and a great weekend.

Solnes wrote:

Big BttH plans? That'd be awesome. *crosses fingers*

No, chillin' for me. Avoiding the shopping frenzy. Christmas lights on Friday. Goofing Sat and Sun. Darn near perfect.

Gonna be in and out today. Doing a lot of cooking at main job for annual thanksgiving party. It's the closest I've come to working at a soup kitchen. For a lot of people on my caseload, this IS thanksgiving dinner, if I ever leave this job[wife warns me I'd better one day], I'd probably volunteer elsewhere on this day, it just doesn't feel like thanksgiving unless I'm in a kitchen for someone who isn't family.

I'm flying out to Omaha Nebraska at the bleary-eyed hour of 6AM. I'll get to see my grandmother, who may not remember who I am, my dad and his family, and my aunt and uncle (one of whom will make a comment about my weight). It's just me, since we didn't want to subject our kids to a boring and stressful trip, but I'll only be there for two days. We will probably see the Harry Potter movie when I get back.

Two work anecdotes:

On my way in this morning, I walked by a guy in a sizable hole, who was working on something there. Standing outside the hole were (the seemingly obligatory) two guys watching the other guy who was smoking a cigarette and laughing. I just hoped that nothing exploded until after I was clear.

My not-so-vaguely racist cube-mate has a coffee cup which reads "MiGo". Since I'm Caucasian, I really only have to worry about the latter fact.
