My point of view is that you should award them xp accordingly to the Trap CR. That reward should come after the party has disable it (as creatures give xp when the die)
If you make your own traps and obstacles or even riddles and quests reward the players accordingly to the difficulty of them. Usually the xp reward should be as much as a monster of balanced CR for the party gives.

Quick question, should XP be given out for traps and obstacles? For instance a Falling Block Trap is CR 5. Is that then equal to 1200 experience points?
And if xp should be given out, is it just for experiencing the trap? Or actually disarming/finding+avoiding it?
You award experience based on the CR of the trap faced yes.
There isn't anything specifically saying who get experience based on how they interact with the trap. Personally, I would award it to everybody in the group as long as they are nearby. But if it happens that the party is split up, then you should award it thusly.
Mainly because otherwise rogues, dwarves and BSF's would end up getting ahead on XP simply due to the nature of the game.

What about if they get caught by the trap, and don't die, any XP for that? Essentially XP for surviving?
Considering that roleplaying around a combat encounter should give the EXP for the combat encounter, so long as they actively deal with the trap and bypass it, they should get the EXP for it. They're taking time at the table to address it.
Though, good traps are designed to force players to interact with it. They don't have to solve the thing, they just have to find a way to "beat" it, whether that be entirely bypassing the trap or disarming it.

I would recommend treating traps and hazards and the like as if they were monsters for XP. That's the assumption we make, in fact. Whether or not you disarm a trap or avoid it or trigger it and just tough out the results... the PCs learn from the experience and should get XP. That's why we give those things CR scores, after all! :)
