Sundering a Net?

Rules Questions

Can you sunder a net? If so, what would its hardness be? The weapon description says that it has 5 hit points, so that much is clear, at least.

Nets have no hardness unless they are made of a special material. So I would just assume 5 hp and be done with it. Cutting one's way free is a standard method of escaping a net.

Do you think a Combat Maneuver check would still be required? That is, assuming that the net is still "held" by an opponent after it has been thrown?
