Escape from the Scene
"Baldric" carefully makes his way through the town, hoping to keep the guard's attention away from him.
Based on your knowledge of the streets, you try slipping in and out of alleyways, hoping to avoid contact with anyone. Suddenly, you jump over a wall and find yourself standing right near a group the Watch, who eye you suspiciously. One begins to approach you. One success, one failure
Ostran stops by a shop to 'check out what they have', and to see if the guard will question him.
The guard, a large man with a slightly deformed nose, tells you in a gruff voice, "We're on the look out for a young man and his halfling companion. They're wanted for murder. I have a couple questions for you. Where were you a few minutes ago?"
Xivort Encounter
Balgron breaks open the door. The interior is quite dark, but you can make out a small figure sitting in a chair on the far end of the room.
Tulgeikh:
Balgron:

"Yes sir", Ostran says as he heads off towards the Halfling quarter.
You'll still need 4 more successes before you can head toward the halfling quarter.
Ostran manages to fool the guard, but there are still many members of the Watch looking around. You suddenly notice that the man in black is among them, assumingly to help find you!

Storyteller. |

NPC'ing Cogmin. He delays his action. Tulgeikh takes his action.
As soon as Tulgeikh enter toward the chair, he is charged by small but vicious blue humanoids!
Creatures were hidden in the shadows and holding their action (a charge) until someone entered.
Xivort slasher 1 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12vs. AC
Xivort slasher 2 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18vs. AC Damage1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7.
Xivort slasher 3 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17vs. AC
Luckily, most of them miss with their short sword, but they now surround Tulgeikh.
From the shadows, another xivort chants wildly, and a bolt of shadowy energy exits its hand and heads toward Tulgeikh.
Xivort shadow caller 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14vs. Will. Damage1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7necrotic. This effect leaves Tulgeikh vulnerable for a moment and one of the xivorts makes a quick attack.
Xivort slasher 1 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12vs. AC. Another miss!
For Tulgeikh:
Tulgeikh, you can continue your movement to the chair, but doing so will invoke an opportunity attack. Otherwise, you can stop where you are and attack or do some other action.
The rest of you notice the blue creatures come from the shadows and attack.
It's Tulgeikh's turn. After that it will be Balgron. Someone who delayed his or her action may take it anytime after Tulgeikh.

Tulgeikh |

I stay where I am.
"You are pathetic, this how you hit."
Minor action: Tulgeihk flexes and rocky plates form on his skin as assumes the Form of the Mountain King. +1 to ac, resist all 3 and once per round all targets marked by Tulgeihk take 4HP damage if Tulgeihk hit on an attack until end of encounter.

Lamander |

Based on your knowledge of the streets, you try slipping in and out of alleyways, hoping to avoid contact with anyone. Suddenly, you jump over a wall and find yourself standing right near a group the Watch, who eye you suspiciously. One begins to approach you. One success, one failure
"Ah, this caen' be right, was I supposed to turn right back there?... Lad, could you give me directions to tha Keltos Inn? I got my directions mixed up."

Xivort slasher 2, attack vs reflex, 1d20+6
Xivort slasher 3, attack vs reflex, 1d20+6
Damage = 1d10+4+4+4
The 4 thunder damage against marked creatures while in the form is only when using a melee attack, so it won't apply for a close burst. However, You do hit all three of them, 12 damage each.
Slasher 1 suddenly disappears and reappears in area K9.
Balgron, this is only the second round, so if you spend all your actions, you will not have thrown a sunrod into the room. Anyone without low-light vision takes a -2 penalty to attack anything inside the dark room.
A xivort teleported to K9 before Balgron's turn; let me know how you adjust your action to accomodate.

Balgron |

Balgron tosses a lit sunrod into the center of the room then charges the Xivort Shadow Caller attempting to gore with his single horn, ignoring the Xivort Slashers along the way.
Goring Charge, 1d20+9=24 vs XS AC, 1d6+4=8 damage and you knock the target prone
Balgron's AC=17 against OA provoked during a charge.

However, Balgron's sunrod illuminates a stirge and Jolin, who sits tied to the chair.
Either Kyleria or Cogmin is up.

Cogmin |

*DM: Please correct me if any of my actions are too over the top or not acceptable within the round - ;}
Cogmin runs and jumps through the window (at M10/11 landing in M11) and (if successful) immediately brings his axe over in a wide cutting arc into the blue man (X3), using all his momentum.

Storyteller. |

Lamander listens as the guard give him long, involved directions to the inn. After a few minutes, the guard dismisses him.
Ostran manages to slip past the guards unnoticed. Unwittingly, he even comes within a hair of the man in black without detection.
Ostran and Lamander, you each have two successes and one failure. Because you are now wandering the streets in disguise, merely roll your bluff until you have six success or three failures. Feel free to throw in a Stealth check or two, if desired. The DC is 15. On six successes, you have managed to get out of Upper Dura unnoticed. On three failures, well, we'll deal with that if it comes up.

Cogmin runs and jumps through the window (at M10/11 landing in M11) and (if successful) immediately brings his axe over in a wide cutting arc into the blue man (X3), using all his momentum.

Cogmin brushes off the glass and sweeps at his enemy with is axe, knocking the creature to the ground.X3 is bloodied and barely hanging on.
* Balgron is unconscious and dying.
* X3 is bloodied.
* Tulgeikh has marked X1, X2, & X3.
Kyleria is up.

Balgron |

Ferocity: When you drop to 0 hit points or fewer, you can make a melee basic attack as an immediate interrupt.
Melee Basic Attack, 1d20+7=27(CRIT!) vs X1 AC, 1d8+4=12 damage
Hopefully that kills X1, interrupting his attack, thereby keeping Balgron up and alive.
Balgron lashes out at one of the Xivorts just before taking what would be a fatal blow.

Unfortunately, you can't take an immediate action on your own turn, so this won't apply. However, I'll let you save the crit for your death save, allowing you to be become conscious and spend a healing surge at the end of your next turn.

Kyleria sends a blast of mental energy at the Xivort that she can see.
Mind Thrust against X3, targets will. 1d20+4, on hit 1d10+4 psychic. If it hits and drops him, I move to L12, otherwise I stay put.
The xivort shrugs off Kyleria's psychic attack.
The shadowcaller barks out a command to the stirge, which moves in front of the caller area M5. The stirges watches your group, ready for anyone who comes near.

Success! You manage to slip out of the Upper Dura ward.
Before you had said that you wanted to go to the halfling slums. There are no specific halfling slums that you know of, but there is a halfling district in Middle Menthis called Little Plains. Alternatively, there is a halfling crime family called Boromar that has influences throughout Sharn. A Streetwise check may give you more information.

Tulgeikh |

"AaaarrrArgggg!"
With a primal scream Tulgeihk slams his warhammer on the ground knocking his enemies prone and crushing them with stone rippling out from his weapons impact.
Roots of Stone, close burst 1, enemies only, zone lasts EONT.
Attack vs X1, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Attack vs X2, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Attack vs X3, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Damage = 1d10 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 4 = 10and enemy is knocked prone.
Any enemy leaving the zone takes 4HP damage.
A least one of them anyway.

Xivort Battle
Tulgeikh hits creature X2. X2 is prone if he leaves the zone. Tulgeikh's extra damage on marked foes only works with a melee attack, not a close burst, so I believe the damage is actually 6. X2 is bloodied and he teleports to area K11.
The xivort knocked down by Cogmin stands. The three xivorts attack Tulgeikh...
X1 (+2 for flank)1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21 Damage 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
X2 (+2 for flank)1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16
X31d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Tulgeikh takes 9 damage, minus 3 for his damage resistance, for a total of 6.
The shadowcaller conjures shadowy hands that creep over to Cogmin and attempt to grab him.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 vs. Reflex. I'm not sure if that hits as I don't have that stat. Assuming it does, it immobilizes Cogmin and causes him ongoing 5 damage (save ends both).
Assuming Balgron spends a healing surge...Balgron regains consciousness.You are at 0 hp plus a healing surge. You'll be able to act the next round.
* Tulgeikh has marked X1-X3
* Cogmin is *probably* immobilized and taking ongoing 5 damage
* Balgron is prone and bloodied
* X2 & X3 are bloodied
* Tulgeikh has created a zone (yellow on map) - if X2 leaves the zone, he takes damage and is prone. This last until the end of Tulgeikh's next turn.
Cogmin is up.

Storyteller. |

Ostran is actually going to go back to the Temple where Mevitari is and hope that the House J rep is there.
Hmmm...this is basically where you ran from. You can successfully enter the temple without notice, but most law-abiding citizens would turn you in. There's also the Watch crawling all over the place, inside and outside the temple, questioning people - including the healer from House Jorasco. Let me know if this is still what you want to do.

Cogmin |

Cogmin kicks away the shadows and cricks his neck. If warforged could smile...
