One of my players recently lost his hand (critical + card from the gamemastery deck)... He's looking for a way to regrow it but apart from the "regeneration" spell I can't think of any way for him to do so. He's also an archer (built around the concept) so I make he'll find a way as to not ruin his character (though it may cost the party gold).
Regeneration is a lvl 7 spell, and I don't think any clerics in DL are able to cast this OR have a potion or scroll at hand. Might be an excellent hook to get them to leave for the "Free city".
Secondly: what does a Regeneration cost (playing 3.5 rules)? PG says 70gp + level of caser but that's just plain cheap. A scroll purchased in a store would cost around 2000 gp!
Any thougths?

The mine owners are pretty wealthy, and they may be able to procure a scroll, or maybe even get a caster to take the trip to Diamond Lake for a favor. Even better it could be a favor to be called upon at a later date, and at a very inconvenient time for the party. You may be thinking, what if the party member with the missing hand dies. In that case the favor is not placed upon the character, but upon the party. Barring a TPK they will have to pay back or else. The "or else" is up to you.
