Shuttle between the Airport and Hotel

I saw in another thread there is a shuttle between the airport and hotel - I have a few (well, a bunch :) questions:

How does that work exactly? My son and I will be flying in Thursday evening and then leaving Sunday evening and I still need to figure out how to get to the hotel from the airport and then back to the airport on Sunday.

Does the shuttle run 24 hours a day or does it stop after a certain time each night? Do you arrange for this ahead of time or just grab the shuttle once you get there?

Is this shuttle run by the hotel?

Is there a website or phone number we can call for more info?

I've been trying to recall all the details myself (and if another method may be cheaper as we're two now).

I made a reservation on the website (what the site is I'm still trying to find again), for a particular time. I believe you can walk up and wait for the next shuttle that has space, but it may be better to have a reservation. I believe after a certain time the shuttles are by reservation only (this is how I set up a pickup to go back on Monday morning).

Anyone else flying in early Wed. Evening?

It's $19 per person to get to the Coast Hotel. How to find them at the Sea-tac airport is down near the bottom of the page:

"To use our service from the airport, cross skybridge 3 or 4 to the airport parking garage then go down to the 3rd floor. Shuttle Express Check-in is located between the orange and purple elevator banks. You'll see our check-in kiosks at the curb, just beyond the glass partition. Check in at our self-serve kiosk with your advanced reservation, or check in with our airport coordinators. While advanced reservations are highly recommended, if you don't have one, that's ok!"

The Coast Hotel provides a shuttle service to places within 5 miles of the hotel, so you could use that to get to restaurants and stuff in Bellevue.

Last year a friend and I coughed up an extra six bucks apiece (over the $19 per person) and had a limo take us to the hotel. Trust me--that's the way to go. If you split it three ways, its cheaper than the shuttle. Its about the same as a taxi.

Well my flight arrives at 6:39 from Los Angeles in Seattle on Friday Night. Anyone else up for splitting a ride?

I'm heading back to the airport for a 7:30pm flight on Sunday afternoon, and would like to arrange that again.

I hope folks don't mind us using this thread to coordinate shared rides from the airport, but my flight arrives in Seattle at 8:10pm on Thursday. Anyone arriving around a similar time wanting to share a ride let me know and I'll set it up.

I'm likely to be hungry and in the mood for a cocktail, but that can happen after checking into the hotel if need be.

You might want to consider renting a car at the airport and just driving to the hotel (they have a sizable parking lot). I dont know if they charge for parking or not, but I would guess not.

There are a number of places you might be inspired to go to that isn't within walking distance. I dont recall if Bellevue Mall, for example, is within walking distance or not - well, Im too lazy to walk that far :-)

There should be a bus that goes from the hotel straight to both Bellevue Mall and Crossroads Mall (the other direction). If you take less than a few hours it'll bring you back as well, all for 2.50. Most other places you might be inspired to check out are also on the bus system and will probably run you no more than 10$ round-trip. All in all, cheaper than a car.

Just upstairs from the luggage claim, in the garage, you will see a bunch of taxis waiting for fares. If you look around, you will see limos as well. Just walk up and say hello.

I am gonna be coming, and will be arriving sometime around 11 am on Thursday with my lovely wife. I don't know the exact time, cause I don't have my tickets in front of me.

If I knew the airport better, I would be up for it. But this is my first time in Washington and I want to make sure I get my luggage and get to my hotel before I start making social plans.

There is only one place for the shuttles and it's probably the best place to meet. It looks like you would have to wait around 25 more minutes. If you don't mind that, sharing a shuttle sounds good.

At this point, my plan is to go straight from the airport up to the Sci Fi Museum via light rail and monorail and do my tourist things for a bit. I'm been talking with Ashton and his party about meeting up there (they're driving in, rather than flying), and of course it's be neat to run into anyone else from the Con as well.

After that, if I fail to rendezvous with anyone heading that way, I've looked into bus schedules that'll get me to the hotel.
