New Rule: Force Points
I will no longer ask if you want a Force Point added or nudge you in the direction either way. If you want one added, tell me. If you don't I won't.
I would also appreciate you add an OOC note when using a Force point which one you are using.
For example:
Used 1st of 6 Force Points.
OR
1/6 FP
This will help so that I don't have to go back through all of the pages from the last time you leveled up and count!

Alistair Cray (Jedi 3rd):
Base Attack: +1
Defenses: +1
Hit Points Gained: +8
Force Points: 6
Destiny Points: 3
Skills: No change (odd level)
Feat: Weapon Focus (Lightsabers) [Character Level Feat]
Talent (Jedi): Weapon Specialization (Lightsabers) [Lightsaber Combat Talent Tree]
As far as looking for another player is concerned, I do not mind. If someone wants to play, let them play, especially if the difficulty of the various encounters is going to go up anyway. The Pros outweigh the Cons as far as I am concerned. :-)

Kalderaan |

Colvin updates:
Base Attack - +1
HP = +5
Skills - no change (odd level)
6 Force Points
Bonus Feat - Quick Draw
Talent - Knack (Fortune Talent Tree)
Also, as a bonus for being the "face" of the group, I am awarding you with the following item: Red Badge of Courage.
This is how the Badge works - you get +1 to your Persuasion skill check. If it is AAS (After Allerick Speaks), the bonus goes to +2. If it is AAS,TPFIM (After Allerick Speaks, Then Puts Foot In Mouth), it goes to +4. NOTE: This does not apply to Intimidation checks or Haggle checks.

Eamch Stone, Soldier Level 2 >>>Soldier Level 3
HP = +9 (Now 50)
Base Attack = +1 (Now 3)
Skills - no change (odd level) (Now +8 for all)
Defenses +1 (Now 17/15/17)
6 Force Points
Bonus Feat (level) - Precise Shot.
Talent – Harm’s Way.
As far as another player, I am willing to take them on i you are. As a GM, you may just need to add a couple stormtroopers here, the odd mutated felucian there to bring up the challenge level slightly.

The last encounter is a Challenge Rating 4. Considering you are all 2nd level, I didn't think that was bad. Most final encounters are 3 levels higher than the party level (APL).
So I have 2 votes to let a new player in. Other input anyone?

Kalderaan wrote:Also, start thinking about 4th level. It is right around the corner - trust me!Do you want us to post our progression like we are now for 3rd level, or shall we hold off until it is closer?
Please hold off on 4th progressions until we finish 3rd and get the new player up and running.
Thanks!

Pending your reviewal.
Welcome aboard. I look forward to the introduction.
We agreed to substitute Armor Proficiency (Medium) with Skill Focus (treat injury).
We agreed the Hidden Holster from Scavenger's Guide is "modified" and the cost reduced.
I don't see the Light Armor though. I see the feat but not the armor itself. Is it a droid standard? Help me understand you it is achieved.
Castor will work his magic with checking as well, as I'm sure. ;)

Kalderaan |

I wrote the duravlex shell from scavangers guide in accessorice. Didn't know where else to put it.
I see it now. I didn't realize it gave Armor bonuses too. I thought it just gave the Fort bonus to heat and such.
Consider your submittal approved then.
Silly question - where do you get the cost factor for droids?
EDIT - I found it. Medium size is CF x 1.

If I remember correctly (at work at the moment so no books), the Force Training feat gives a number of Force powers equal to 1 + Wis modifier, so in your case a total of 3 powers. If the Telekinetic Prodigy Talent grants an additional Force power, then your total is raised to 4 powers for choosing the Force Training feat.

No problem. Once I get home I will take a look. For some reason, I kinda like the mechanics-part of character creation. Go figure! :-)

Kalderaan |

Tamara Kess (Jedi 3)
HP +8
BAB +1
Defenses +1
Talent: Telekinetic Prodigy
Level Feat: Force Training (Move Object, Farseeing; TP bonus: Force Thrust)
You do get an extra Force Training ability since Telekinetic Prodigy allows an additional ability if you choose Move Object. The ability must have the telekinetic descriptor, such as Force Slam, etc.
Please choose another power to add.
The question is this - is it retroactive? Would it apply to her Force Training feat from 1st level? Let me think on that one...

Sigz - I will need you to purchase the "hands" option in order to be adept at medicine, just as the 2-1B droid has. I see you have the Tool appendage but nothing like claws or hands. From what I can see, it is only 100 credits total. From my math, you have the cash. Not sure how it affects your tool appendage...will have to look into it.
Also, I am seeing 1d3 for the hands and 1d4 max if you have claws for unarmed damage. You have 1d6 listed. Can you fix that?

While we are waiting and "oh" so close to the end of Traitor's Gambit, I want to ask you for your input.
I have been trying to offer some in-character treasure and items for you. How is this working out? Do you want to see more?
Would you rather have things like the skill boosts I have given, would you like more monetary gains, would you like items (if so, what) or what?
I would like to ensure you feel like you are gaining something besides experience but I am finding out that this isn't like D&D where you can leave it on a bad guy and then loot the body.
Thoughts?

Personally, I find the game itself rewarding enough. As far as items and treasure are concerned, I prefer to leave it up to you and be pleasantly surprised with whatever comes up regardless of whether Alistair can make use of it or not.
Since you ask, however, I am interested in having Alistair build -when he is eligible to do so at 7th level- and wield a lightsaber with the dueling hilt variant (pg. 54 of the Jedi Academy Training Manual) and the Force-activated modification (pg. 60 of the Jedi Academy Training Manual), more for aesthetic purposes rather than any bonuses they might confer, provided those options are allowed. Anything that might provide him with insight and the necessary technical knowledge to do so (basically, so that his knowing how to build something like that fits story-wise, considering Jedi have limited to no access to their resources in this era) would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds reasonable. I have some surprises in store for Alistair and Kess as you move in that direction... ;)

I'm not 100% fixed on Stone's direction yet, so I'm not sure about "treasure" that would be appropriate for him. I haven't decided if he's going to spend a couple talents on armor or not. If he did, it would probably only be light armor.
The basic image I have of him is fighting with one pistol and intervening himself between enemies and other PCs and important NPCs. I only have the core rule book, so I don't know if there are any pistol modifications he could use beyond just adding a scope. He's focusing on Aiming, and the feats and talents that go along with it (Careful Shot, Deadeye, etc.). He's mostly going to stay with Soldier and Elite Trooper, but he will probably have a level in each Scout, Bounty Hunter and Gunslinger toward that end. I don't know if that helps any.

Allerick can modify that pistol to have a +1 to hit or +2 to damage if you'd like, for 1,000 credits and a day's work. If we have downtime between adventures maybe we can work something out.

Is the Destiny point earned for completing Traitor's Gambit in addition to Destiny Points gained each time we level up (1 Destiny Point/level)?
Also, this Destiny Point if for those with the Discovery and Destruction destinies only, right? I am asking because Alistair has the Rescue destiny so I would like to know before updating his character sheet. :-)

Kalderaan |

If you spent a Destiny point then you may get another. Your total cannot exceed your character level. I don't recall anyone spending a Destiny point.

Kalderaan |

I am enjoying the game as is, I don't need any particular treasures. Colvin just really needs a blaster and targets!
Feel free to interact with your new party member on the thread.
I have a few more loose ends to tie up to get you to your new "base" of operations.
This is all RP.
I will summarize the XP so you can update your characters on this thread.
You will get your Destiny benefits when we start the new adventure.

I may take you up on that! Is that something in the core book or one of the supplements?

Kalderaan |

Experience from Traitor’s Gambit – Acts II (Felucians) & III (Imperial Prison)
• Combat with Plant creature – 800 xp
• Healing the sick Felucian children – 600 xp
• Interaction with the Felucian chief – 800 xp
• Race on Kybucks through jungle – 1200 xp
• Encounter with Scouts and Stormtroopers – 1600 xp
• Disabling communications array at outpost – 600 xp
• Prison – Medical Bay – 1000 xp
• ST patrol outside comm center – 1200 xp
• Detention block guards and droids – 1900 xp
• Comm center with officer and techs – 2200 xp
• Command center on 2nd floor – 2400 xp
• Roleplaying xp – 1900 xp
TOTAL = 2700 XP per character
NEW TOTAL = 4500 xp
All PC's, including the new player, should adjust their XP total to this number.

It is from being a Tech Specialist. He can do similar to droids, vehicles, and such.

Kalderaan |

I will relay it in character but plan on spending 4,000 more per character before your next mission. This applies to the new guy too. ;)
I have a "side" mission that will take place before you actually arrive at the next module, Wretched Hive.
That shoud take you to 4th level if you survive.
Please run all purchases by me in this forum before you add it to your sheet.
