Once I get DM privileges, the game can start...

Just make an avatar for it and you can go from there.....
I will look at obsidian portal and see if I can add you...

OK OP only lets one person be GM, I pushed the promote button so now (tag) you are it.......

and I e-mailed info to you.....

Got the e-mail.

Just a note to everybody, you dont technically have to be set as the GM on Obsidian Portal to run the game (I was never set at GM, for example). We can all stil ladd content there, etc.

F Human Paladin of Asterius 1/ Boreal Sorceress 1

As we are going to start again there as only four o us, I wanted to suggest that the GM PC stays in play during the GM stint so that we don't have to use GM fiat each time the GM changes.

I'm also in the process of writing an entry for Asterius as it is Vardara's god. I'll submit it to you on obsidian portal when it's done.

Last I wanted to propose a few possibilities to reform the group. We can either have Vardara come to group by chance as they make their way to the discovery site. She could also have been sent to help them with a lithe delay as she was not in town during the theft

I intend to continue playing K while GMing.

As Vardara is a paladin, the explanation of being sent to help seems the most feasible. Either way works.

I am working up stats for Enozzer the leader of the tengu, and will be updating that info to Obsidian Portal for future DM's......

Thank you.

On that note, the DM is ready. I shall be using my alias Yucale to DM.

F Human Paladin of Asterius 1/ Boreal Sorceress 1

Shall we start when Vardara, Tarkum and Nightflier's character arrive at the forteress ?

That sounds convenient.

The originally part has been allowed shelter within the fortress, but are given small, cold room snear the front. The tengu are aloof but not overly hostile. It is just about morning.

On a more personal note, I've showed another of my friends how awesome Pathfinder is :).

Male Human Cleric3

After doing his normal morning rituals (meditating on the universe and cooking breakfast), Ahz asks So, what do you think? It seems to me that going to where the Metal Man was found is a good idea, if we want to investigate this. Do we? I still want to hold the Tengu responsible for the attack responsible. And, as much as I like justice and all, something to pay for my food through the cold winter wouldn't be bad either.

Ahz saves a bit of breakfast to toss in the snow for the yeti when the party goes out.

M orc Paladin / 1

"I see little evil in tha ways of the tengu I have seen, some argued to attack us, instead they have given gestures of good will and asked an oath that allows one and all to return if our own mind determines it is necessary."

"I was new to this area an can not say about the peoples of the town or some of tha other groups."

Caydee paces around the common room. "I agree with Fubar, though I would like to see the tengu do something about the young fools who attacked Camlin. Beyond that, I can't fault them."

Hi guys, sorry for no posts over the weekend, it's been kind of hectic. I just need to review my gear, as I gave my character starting gp values for item purchasing. I'll follow up this evening with a real post.

Male Human Cleric3

I also agree. These Tengu, beyond being over-zealous at times, are simply protecting themselves and their own. I think maybe tracking down the 'truth' as they refer to it may be a good next step, and we have that gadget to help us find the location. That gets my vote for the moment.

F Human Paladin of Asterius 1/ Boreal Sorceress 1

Let's start for the second group.

The days following the artefact theft, Vardara, Takum and Grashnak were asked to provide reinforcements for the group charged to catch the thieves.

Having followed the tracks thanks to Grashnak skill, they have managed to catch up on the first party. Raised before dawn, the group climb up a small hill and come to a stop as the firsts rays of the sun illuminate the tengu forteress.

"Wow, what is that ? I've never heard of a fort around here and the tracks seem to run straight to that." says Vardara to his companions.

The young woman, oblivious to the surrounding cold, paces around on the hill top. Her massive earth breaker resting on her shoulder, she machinally combs her snow white hair with her free hand, waiting for her companions to take a look at the situation.

"Let's see what's happening there."

On a side note, those characters who have had, unfortunately, to remove themselves from the game were escorted back towards Camlin by the tengu.

From the outside, the ice fortress shows no sign of life. The sun's reflection does a surprisingly good job of hiding it.

Tarkum nods in agreement and takes up the rear as the approach the fort.

Everyone keep your eyes open. We have no idea what waits ahead.

M orc Paladin / 1

Meanwhile....back at the icy fortress....

"It looks like the storm is lifting an a choice has tah be made on where tah head."

"Im fer headin back to gather evidence an learn tha truth or mayhap have a circumstance where I know fer sure a course of action.."

Male Human Cleric3

It seems we are agreed on going to the site of the Metal Man to investigate, so let's get going while the weather holds.

Ahz speaks to any Tengu around to find Siemu, so that he can bid him farewell, and pass along a farewell to Ezonner. Ahz is respectful, but tries to be clear about his continued feeling about the attack.

After they have left the fortress, Ahz will find a good place to leave the yeti's breakfast (he has begun calling the yeti Karrg in his mind, and probably starts saying it out loud as well at times).

Tarkum wrote:

Vardara lifts her hand, protecting her eyes from the sun and its reflexion on the icy rocks.

Let's look for fight traces to see if the were taken here by force"

Perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 Surival 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

The original group is given a frosty farewell and ushered out of the fortress.

Vardara is rescued from detective work by the prompt arrival of the original group, who find Vardara and her companions waiting for them outside.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Look there!"

points at new people

"Tis a crowded wasteland!"

Spoiler:

detect evil on the new comers

F Human Paladin of Asterius 1/ Boreal Sorceress 1

As the group exits the fortress, Vazrara mentaly checks all of them against the descriptions given by Haluk Greenblood. Yes, that's them. And they all seem to be alive.

Her frost induced grin turns into a smile and she moves forward towards them, oblivious to the potential danger of the tengu.

"Well met," she says, "We've been sent by the Temple to give you a hand. I am Vardara, daughter of the temple and my companions are Tarkum and Grashnak".

Shze flashes an even more brilliant smile to the tengu escorting the group. "I have lost my manners, I should have greeted you first. I am Vardara, chosen of Asterius of the town of Camlin. We have been sent to look for these people and I was so relieved to find them. I trust everything is going all right?"

Male Half-Orc Ranger 2

Huge albino half-orc raises his head in the air as if to sniff the wind. His red eyes quickly cast a look around him taking in all the traces, all the signs and portents, but he remains silent, letting Vardara to do all the talking. Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz allows the Tengu time to say hello or speak if they want, then finding Vardara's smile infectious, steps towards her in greeting. Well met as well. We just lost a few of our companions. Not to violence, they simply needed to return to Camlin. We welcome your help, and are just heading out to investigate the matter further. (In a quieter voice) By the way, if you see a young Yeti running around, don't move suddenly. He is Karrg, and we're sort of looking after him.

M orc Paladin / 1

"Well met indeed!"

"Although I ventured forth with this group in pursuit of the tengu, neither they nor the tengu have in my eyes done any wrong"

"I am resigned tah seek tha truth in tha direction it takes me!"

Spoiler:
No evil.

Cay's eyes widen momentarily upon seeing the half-orc, but she's soon grinning along with everyone else. "Ahz, our cleric, is right," she says, taking an immediate liking to Vardara. "The tengu seem to have done nothing wrong other than having so hot-heads among them. Since we're not ready to turn back yet, we're still searching for some sort of conculsion to the whole prickly incident."

"But, what happened in town is a little more than just hot-heads would do ? And where exactly are you going?"

Male Human Cleric3

We journey to where the metal man was found, by the Tengu and by Rector. The Tengu say the truth may be found there as well. So we seek it. And, hopefully, something to cover Tully's bill :).

"You mean they claim to have found it before? If so, Rector would be the thief... You're right, this needs inquiring. What are we waiting for? Let's go."

Male Half-Orc Ranger 2

Grashnak just nods. "Lead the way", he rumbles around his tusks.

Cay commandeers the map and takes a moment to get her bearings.

M orc Paladin / 1

"I also am ready to go forward"

Fubar rubs his head

"Does someone else wish to guard the rear?...I did ont have such a good time of it last time!"

Fubar elects to go with his dire flail

I can do it

"Well met all. Let us be on our way. We will discover the truth in time."

Tarkum firmly takes a position in the middle of the pack, crossbow at ready.

Cay pauses to wave at the tengu who is returning to the fortress, then starts off towards, she hopes, the "truth".

M orc Paladin / 1

Fubar heads toward the front of the group

"I think tha path is plainly away from tha tengu and toward tha valley o tha iron man!"

Male Human Cleric3

Assuming KD is again near the front (as she always has been, and she has the map), Ahz takes up position near her as usual. We also have this astrolabe - though I may not be the best at figuring it out. Tarkum, maybe give it a whirl?

Ahz pauses to toss the yeti's breakfast in the first opportune snowdrift they pass, adding G'morning Karrg!

Male Human Cleric3

{ooc}Is there any particular way you want to do perception/initiative/etc checks? I just randomly called for them, and Fubar did 3/day in advance. Any particular style you want to follow for that?

Azhateran Slug wrote:

I plan on asking for them whenever I need them.

K gives the device a skeptical look. "I'm perfectly capable of finding my way without that... astro-whatever."

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz nods in agreement. You and me both, but maybe a good idea to help one of the others as well. Ahz hands it to the dwarf, who seems the most, um, intelligent sort among the party.

M orc Paladin / 1

"I have my God to guide me, my heart, and my sword err flail..."

Fubar gave the speech a try...maybe he should go back to use of intimidation checks

F Human Paladin of Asterius 1/ Boreal Sorceress 1

Varadara follows the group, humming a low tone, looking around her to try to locate the yeti.

"Where have you seen the yeti you're talking about, I can't see anything here."

I'm going to be on an impromptu work travel from tomorrow midday to friday night. so please roll for me to keep the party going

Male Human Cleric3

Ahz smiles, Karrg's a bit...shy. And hard to find in the snow. You'll catch a glimpse, or hear him sometimes.

Male Half-Orc Ranger 2

"Shall we go, then, to find this Karrg? The day slips away from us..."
