As we are going to start again there as only four o us, I wanted to suggest that the GM PC stays in play during the GM stint so that we don't have to use GM fiat each time the GM changes.
I'm also in the process of writing an entry for Asterius as it is Vardara's god. I'll submit it to you on obsidian portal when it's done.
Last I wanted to propose a few possibilities to reform the group. We can either have Vardara come to group by chance as they make their way to the discovery site. She could also have been sent to help them with a lithe delay as she was not in town during the theft

I intend to continue playing K while GMing.
As Vardara is a paladin, the explanation of being sent to help seems the most feasible. Either way works.

After doing his normal morning rituals (meditating on the universe and cooking breakfast), Ahz asks So, what do you think? It seems to me that going to where the Metal Man was found is a good idea, if we want to investigate this. Do we? I still want to hold the Tengu responsible for the attack responsible. And, as much as I like justice and all, something to pay for my food through the cold winter wouldn't be bad either.
Ahz saves a bit of breakfast to toss in the snow for the yeti when the party goes out.

"I see little evil in tha ways of the tengu I have seen, some argued to attack us, instead they have given gestures of good will and asked an oath that allows one and all to return if our own mind determines it is necessary."
"I was new to this area an can not say about the peoples of the town or some of tha other groups."

Azhateran Slug |
I also agree. These Tengu, beyond being over-zealous at times, are simply protecting themselves and their own. I think maybe tracking down the 'truth' as they refer to it may be a good next step, and we have that gadget to help us find the location. That gets my vote for the moment.

Vardara |

Let's start for the second group.
The days following the artefact theft, Vardara, Takum and Grashnak were asked to provide reinforcements for the group charged to catch the thieves.
Having followed the tracks thanks to Grashnak skill, they have managed to catch up on the first party. Raised before dawn, the group climb up a small hill and come to a stop as the firsts rays of the sun illuminate the tengu forteress.
"Wow, what is that ? I've never heard of a fort around here and the tracks seem to run straight to that." says Vardara to his companions.
The young woman, oblivious to the surrounding cold, paces around on the hill top. Her massive earth breaker resting on her shoulder, she machinally combs her snow white hair with her free hand, waiting for her companions to take a look at the situation.
"Let's see what's happening there."

Azhateran Slug |
It seems we are agreed on going to the site of the Metal Man to investigate, so let's get going while the weather holds.
Ahz speaks to any Tengu around to find Siemu, so that he can bid him farewell, and pass along a farewell to Ezonner. Ahz is respectful, but tries to be clear about his continued feeling about the attack.
After they have left the fortress, Ahz will find a good place to leave the yeti's breakfast (he has begun calling the yeti Karrg in his mind, and probably starts saying it out loud as well at times).

Vardara |

Tarkum nods in agreement and takes up the rear as the approach the fort.
Everyone keep your eyes open. We have no idea what waits ahead.
Vardara lifts her hand, protecting her eyes from the sun and its reflexion on the icy rocks.
Let's look for fight traces to see if the were taken here by force"

Vardara |

As the group exits the fortress, Vazrara mentaly checks all of them against the descriptions given by Haluk Greenblood. Yes, that's them. And they all seem to be alive.
Her frost induced grin turns into a smile and she moves forward towards them, oblivious to the potential danger of the tengu.
"Well met," she says, "We've been sent by the Temple to give you a hand. I am Vardara, daughter of the temple and my companions are Tarkum and Grashnak".
Shze flashes an even more brilliant smile to the tengu escorting the group. "I have lost my manners, I should have greeted you first. I am Vardara, chosen of Asterius of the town of Camlin. We have been sent to look for these people and I was so relieved to find them. I trust everything is going all right?"

Azhateran Slug |
Ahz allows the Tengu time to say hello or speak if they want, then finding Vardara's smile infectious, steps towards her in greeting. Well met as well. We just lost a few of our companions. Not to violence, they simply needed to return to Camlin. We welcome your help, and are just heading out to investigate the matter further. (In a quieter voice) By the way, if you see a young Yeti running around, don't move suddenly. He is Karrg, and we're sort of looking after him.

Caydee Brunland |

Cay's eyes widen momentarily upon seeing the half-orc, but she's soon grinning along with everyone else. "Ahz, our cleric, is right," she says, taking an immediate liking to Vardara. "The tengu seem to have done nothing wrong other than having so hot-heads among them. Since we're not ready to turn back yet, we're still searching for some sort of conculsion to the whole prickly incident."

"But, what happened in town is a little more than just hot-heads would do ? And where exactly are you going?"

Vardara |

We journey to where the metal man was found, by the Tengu and by Rector. The Tengu say the truth may be found there as well. So we seek it. And, hopefully, something to cover Tully's bill :).
"You mean they claim to have found it before? If so, Rector would be the thief... You're right, this needs inquiring. What are we waiting for? Let's go."

Azhateran Slug |
Assuming KD is again near the front (as she always has been, and she has the map), Ahz takes up position near her as usual. We also have this astrolabe - though I may not be the best at figuring it out. Tarkum, maybe give it a whirl?
Ahz pauses to toss the yeti's breakfast in the first opportune snowdrift they pass, adding G'morning Karrg!

K gives the device a skeptical look. "I'm perfectly capable of finding my way without that... astro-whatever."

Vardara |

Varadara follows the group, humming a low tone, looking around her to try to locate the yeti.
"Where have you seen the yeti you're talking about, I can't see anything here."
I'm going to be on an impromptu work travel from tomorrow midday to friday night. so please roll for me to keep the party going
