Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
Is there any way NIK can make sense of wats going on with her Wayfinder?
If not she'll just keep it on her and hope whatever is going on is helping NIK!
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
Garion will try to fit one of the stones in his wayfinder.
1d100 ⇒ 44
Samant: Just noticed your question, Sabine's profile has a description of a Wayfinder in the GM Information section, they're also in Pathfinder Chronicles:Seekers of Secrets, Pathfinder Chronicles:Campaign Setting, and they'll probably be in the World Guide that's coming out soon. Basically they give you a bonus to checks to avoid getting lost and they omit light when you speak a command word. When you put ioun stones inside, sometimes unusual things happen.
Nik's search does not reveal any traps, the doors lead into a short corridor, ended by another set of doors, these still in tact. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23, Nik doesn't find anything that appears to be a trap, but it is covered in faintly glowing runes.
Garion's Wayfinder does not react to the stone he places within it.

The door is glowing. Garion, Zeldin, any idea what could be causing it?
Samant will back away to let them look.
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
Garion casts Detect Magic on the door, focusing on the runes.
Zeldin stops his search of the courtyard, and comes to look at the arcane marks.
Cast Detect Magic
If needed, Knowledge (Arcane)1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
The door does not radiate magic.
Knowledge(nature) anyone?

That would be Knowledge(Arcana), speaking of which...

"Everyone ready?" asks Garion as he reaches to open the door.

Garion Tathos wrote: "Everyone ready?" asks Garion as he reaches to open the door. Yes Samant gets his club at the ready.
Zeldin hefts his spear and grins at his companions and thier devil may care attitude. He hopes he is as ready as Garion calls on them to be.
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
Garion will open the door.
The door opens surprisingly easily, the runes upon its surface glinting slightly with their green glow, but otherwise offer no resistance. Beyond the door lies an inviting room filled with comfortable seats an several low tables. On the opposite wall there is another door, this one unadorned, and in a corner a glass cabinet holds several decanters of various drinks.
Can you each make a Perception check?

"What is that grumbling, growling noise? I can't tell if it's an animal or not, although the clanging would seem to indicate more constructs," says Garion.
The reception room you are currently in is about 15 feet deep, and about twice that wide.
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
Garion will approach the glass cabinet. First he casts Detect Magic. If no magic is detected he will open the cabinet and attempt to discover what is in the decanters.

Hi guys BACK from some travellin with limited internet!!!
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"More of those construct thingies? Desna help us!"
NIK is curious about the cabinet too, peeking over Garion s shoulder and checking it
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"Garion, Zeldin: are those just like normal drinks or are they magic potions that will make me tiny or big or something FUN?"
Smiling at Nik Zeldin says, The only sure way to know is to try. and then realizing the dangerous possibility he overstates the obvious, I was joking. That could be dangerous.
Zeldin is taking a wider view of the room and looking high and low for anything that might be out of place.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
NIK was about to take a sip after the first part of Zeldin's words ...
after all Calistria did make Nik impulsive and curious!
(the reason why she wuld risk her almost-perfect tush on crazy stuff like adventuring!)
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Samant will keep an eye out for trouble while the observant ones look around the room, club at the ready.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
NIK will check the door that exits the room, veri carefully (traps and all that!)
Nothing on or in the cabinet radiates magic, but Garion is able to identify some of the drinks as brandy and sherry, though he does not immediately recognise a couple of them.
When Zeldin looks out at the room he finds that it is very tidy, with each cushion carefully positioned on the chairs. The only thing that stands out is a small book on one of the tables, along with an inkpen and blotter.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 (or does Nik want to take 20 on the search?)
Nik finds no signs of traps on the door leading further into the tower, but it has a small key-hole beneath the handle.
Zeldin picks the book up and takes a look through it.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
is the door open?
If its locked Nik will try and pick the lock open! :-)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Nik it might be best to wait until we're done with this room before attempting to delve further
The book contains pages of an heavily edited, though still unfinished, play. It describes the trials of a traveling Varisian family as they flee a terrible legacy and still needs a lot of work, the dialogue is quite stale, and while this 'legacy' is mentioned several times, there is no resolution.
Nik quickly tries to pop the lock open, but she doesn't manage to catch the pins.
Samant, we are such killjoys! First Nik does not get to hold the coins, then she does not get to drink mysterious liquids, and then she does not get to run headlong into the next room. Zeldin says playfully, trying to get a rise out of Nik.
Zeldin takes a minute to search the cushions and pillows to see if anything has slipped out of sight. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Garion, are you holding the coins until the end, or splitting them as we go? I would prefer to just split everything at the end, if there are no objections.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"Yahh Samant: how am I suppose to get into terrible trouble so you can all charge to my rescue like the noble guys you are if I dont take outrageousli dangerous chances?" giggle
NIK pretends she didnt miss her lock pick but stopped cuz Samant asked! :-)
Bluff (for the pretending): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
I added my charming bonus but if ANYONE here wanna tell me I m not like.. hum ... their cup o tea ... let me know i ll take off the +1! giggle ... confession time guys! giggle
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
To Nik:I do apologize mi'lady, please continue Samant will not try to catch Nik in a lie just because he has no reason to doubt her.
To Zeldin and Garion: any word on the "Mysterious liquids" or the book?
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"No that s ok, I think I will listen to your wise words and wait!"
NIK goes back to those liquids and sees if anything is new there
"So are they like magical?"
To Samant: The book is naught but a poorly written, unfinished play I am afraid. No clues to her disappearance there, unless it was kidnapping by theatre critics.
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Hmmm interesting. I'll take it along to read anyway, you never know what clues she might have written into this about her recent researchings... That is if it's written by her
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
oups missed the part of the post by Calix that said nothing was magical!
NIK grabs the drink that kinda looks like brandy and raises it to everyone
"By Calistria here is to finding Lady Anita!"
NIK takes a shooter-size gulp :-)
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"Just dont fall asleep on us Samant reading that thing ... we may need that BIG CLUB of yurs!"
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Saving it for a later pour through mi'lady. Just looking for leads eventually on what she was doing. I believe we have searched this room well enough to know that the brandy will not hurt us, let us continue on.
Before we go, I would like to search the cushions and pillows for hidden things.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
NIK will try again 2 open the lock, pretending she s really doing it 4 the first time:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Zeldin Tarr wrote: Before we go, I would like to search the cushions and pillows for hidden things. oops, I missed that the first time.
Down the side of one of the cushions, Zeldin finds a dried out inkpen, and under another he finds a dust covered silver coin, down the back of the sofa he finds a ticket stub to a play at the Song and Rose, dated about a year and a half ago.
This time Nik manages to flick the lock open easily, having already got a feel for it earlier.
Zeldin passes the coin to Garion to put with our stash and readies himself for what might be found in the next room.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
Yay ... that s wat NIK was doing earlier .. getting a feel for it ... not REALLI tryin 2 open it yet! giggle
NIK opens the door and peeks in the next room quickly!
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
BTW Nik is totalli cool with Desna's chosen 2 be keeping the coins! :-) Great choice! ... but she IS keeping count (dont blame her! she WAS raised in the taverns after all!)
