About Sabine Sanguessa

HISTORY
Born in the port town of Diobel on the Isle of Kortos, Sabine grew up as the daughter of one of the more prosperous fishermen. From a young age, she was always getting into trouble and dreamed of a life of adventure. Finally, her chance came one day as she was out in the surrounding countryside doing some exploring. Coming upon the body of a man laying face down under a tree, she cautiously approached him to find that he was in fact barely alive. His dying action was to thrust a letter into her hand and tell her to see that it was delivered to The Grand Lodge in Absolom. A quick search of his body revealed his name to be one Dervinius Warlmit, a Pathfinder Messenger. She also found a compass-like device that she later found to be a Wayfinder, as well as some coin and general travelling equipment. She took what she could and returned home to dwell upon her discovery.
Making up her mind, she left her parents a note and set off on the day before her 17th birthday, joining a merchant caravan bound for Absolom which she paid for with coin from the dead man’s belongings. Arriving at the city gates, she was directed towards the enormous structure that housed the ruling body of the Pathfinders, in awe of its majesty. After announcing herself and why she was there, she was shown quickly to Ambrus Valsin himself and was thanked for her assistance. Upon hearing of her desire to join the Pathfinder Society, Ambrus allowed her to keep Dervinius’ Wayfinder as payment, upon the proviso that she pass the initiation tests and be accepted into the organization.

DESCRIPTION
Sabine is a lithe beauty on the cusp of full womanhood. She knows that men find her attractive and will use it to her advantage if she thinks it will get her what she wants without hurting anyone. Her light brown hair falls to mid back and is commonly covered by a bright bandanna.
She typically dresses in a loose fitting shirt and flowing skirt, in the style commonly worn by Varisian women.
A finely crafted Starknife is never far from her hand, although when it isn’t needed, it makes its home at the back of her carrying sash.

Bloodline Arcana: Whenever Sabine applies a metamagic feat to a spell that increases the slot used by at least one level, she increases the spell’s DC by +1. This bonus does not stack with itself and does not apply to spells modified by the Heighten Spell feat.

Description
A small magical device patterned off ancient relics of the Azlanti, Sabine’s wayfinder is made from silver and bears gold accents. With a command word, she can cause her wayfinder to shine (as the light spell). The wayfinder also acts as a non-magical (magnetic) compass, granting her a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost. As with all wayfinders, Sabine’s includes a small indentation designed to hold a single ioun stone. An ioun stone slotted in this manner grants her its normal benefits (as if it were orbiting her head), but may reveals entirely new powers due to the magic of the wayfinder itself.
