God if there aren't a lot of greataxes in this adventure path. I always thought of the scimitar when I thought of sinbad and the like. It doesn't help that our moldspeaker was a greataxe user.

I've been changing everything away from axes in the final 4 adventures because I just can't take axes anymore.

Anyone else feel this way?

Absolutely. In our group, the Half-Orc bard (str 13), is the great axe user - and he's lousy at it, obviously. I leave about half of the axes in, just to see how truly bad he can be, but change the rest to something practical for the rest of the group.

You do get the Rovagug tie in right?

[historical trivia maven/on] Actually axes work well for a Persian-flavored game. Historically, they were given to leaders as a sign of authority and a reward for heroic deeds. Double-bitted axes are common in heraldic designs from that region.

I'll have to do more research...when I think of persians/turks/monguls I always think of horse archers. I think it was al quidam games and such that make the scimitar feels so iconic for me
