Now that it's out...

There's a LOT of Lovecraft-friendly monsters in Bestiary 2. The ones that are actually from Lovecraft's writings are gugs, denizens of Leng, shantaks, and Leng spiders.

What about the Hounds of Tindalos?

Waiting in the wings behind yet another still-unstatted dozen or so BETTER monsters. :P

We'll get to the moonbeast eventually, but there's a lot of monsters I want to cover before that.

Hard to do Leng properly without the hidden masters of those black galleys.

True. I'd LOVE to do a book about Leng. At which point statting up moonbeasts makes a lot of sense. But without that staring me in the face, I default to monsters I like better. Like the spiders of Leng, or shantaks.

This begs for a full on Old Ones City Dream Portal Invasion AP.

I recall that the Cats also travel to the moon and battle the cats from Saturn and the Moon Beasts, rescuing Randolph Carter in the "Dream-quest of Unknown Kadath."

Of course they could all be high-level spell-casters.

Or they could be in a dream, where things like that are a bit more commonplace than in Providence.

Oh that would be sweet!

It might be a bit late, but I seem to remember a previous Dragon magazine that had a lot of stuff regarding Astrology... feats, prestige classes, maybe even a race, gear, etc.
