The scout trooper takes Colvin's shot in stride and revs his engine to dart forward toward the group, leaving a huge wake in the river behind him.

He veers towards Colvin and fires a huge pulse of plasma from his laser cannon.

Cannon shot at Colvin:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

The projectile stikes near Colvin, blowing a huge crater in the soft, spongy ground.

The original Scout Trooper ends his movement in square T24

Toby shakes his head, knowing that this is beyond his normal style. He spurs his Kybuck forward towards the small pile of equipment that seems to be serving as the imperials outpost. As the kybuck moves, he draws his ion pistol in his free hand, taking a shot at whatever looks like its most likely their radio transmitter. If what he heard was right about the jungle messing with short range radio, if he can take out the broadcaster then he can probably stop any reinforcements from coming.

Toby bounces forward on his kybuck but his mind is focused on one thing - cutting off the stormtrooper's ability to call in reinforcements.

Although he is not as an accomplished shot as Stone or the others, he picks out his target carefully and fires a shot.

BOOM!The satellite dish one of the troopers was setting up explodes in a shower of sparks and debris. Smoke and a small fire is all that is left of the device. The stormtrooper attending it is covered in soot and scorch marks.

They won't be calling for help anytime soon!

No need to confirm criticals - it is just double the damge you originally rolled.


Toby raises his pistol towards the sky with a shout of "Woo-hoo! Looks like I can trash machines as well as you can fix them, Allerick! Hopefully this means we just have the three to deal with and you guys can handle that, right?"

The second scout jets from behind the cover of a mushroom, spraying water behind him in a huge funnel, and turns towards the party. He fires his huge laser cannon at Allerick.

Cannon fire at Allerick:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 **miss**

The other four stormtroopers fire at each of the party members in the open, at short range. The second stormtrooper moves to line up a better shot (M4 to J6). The stormtrooper holding the communication device fires on Toby.

ST 1 @ Colvin:1d20 ⇒ 7 **miss**
ST 2 @ Allerick: 1d20 ⇒ 18 ; 3d8 ⇒ (7, 1, 4) = 12 **HIT**

Colvin moves to close range with the scout trooper and fires a deadly shot at the trooper. He has taken three shots but he is adept at at using the vehicle to aborb most of the damage and still looks able to take more.

Stone fires a deadly salvo into the Imperial trooper. The scout slumps forward and the vehicle then becomes a spiraling missile. It veers to your right, directly into a large mushroom. The speed of the impact buries the sled halfway into the soft stalk.


With the original trooper down, everyone else is free to act - Alistair, Allerick, Kess, and Toby.


Allerick will urge his kybuck forward 12 more squares, wincing as he goes. "Why do you people insist on shooting me?!?" He'll then fire on a trooper!

Attack: (assuming close range) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 3d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) + 2 = 10

Stone if you travel diagonally, you can get to V29 but not U24.

Allerick - there is a 2nd scout trooper at square O24. Also, I have you ending your turn at square W26.

Allerick closes to point blank range and fires a shot at the second scout trooper, hitting him solidly in the leg. He is hurt but still functional.

Toby, Kess, and Allerick are next to act.


Being so far away from everyone certainly doesn't seem to be helping Toby in terms of not getting shot so he's just going to hunch down and spur his Kybuck into a full run to try and catch up with everyone else.

Moving at a run, but slowed by the water should put me at CF37 I believe.

Toby - CC37 is only 1 square from where you are now. Everyone else has only made a single move so far. You aren't that far behind. Where do you want to move?

Umm... I am a bit confused. Is it A to FF from top to bottom or bottom to top? Far as I can tell, if Alistair is behind the right-most mushroom at V39, then it would seem that A to FF is from bottom to top (if I understand it corectly, it goes: A, B, C... X, Y, Z, AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, right?).

The Jedi finds that he once more has to resort to his blaster pistol and his rather poor marksmanship skills as he spurs the kybuck forward in an attempt to close the distance between himself and the Imperials. Unholstering his weapon, he fires a shot at the closest target as soon as he finds himself near enough.

Damage (energy) 3d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) + 1 + 2 = 9

Yes, that is absolutely correct. I apologize - looking back I said the opposite. The top right is FF41, where you started. A1 is the bottom left corner (near the ST post).

Alistair breaks from the cover of the mushroom and urges his mount forward, breaking right into the open to get around the huge mushroom providing cover to his targets. As he rounds the bend, he sees the scout trooper nearby and fires. Astonishingly, his blaster bolt strikes the target, making the Imperial wobble a bit in his seat but not taking him down.

I had you move to S30 to get a shot on a trooper.

Toby, CF37 isn't a square so I had you move a double move down the right side and take cover by a large mushroom. You are in square N32 now. The scout on his repulsor is on the other side but you have total cover.


No word from Kess since Friday so i will have her make a double move action to square J30, gaining full cover from the mushroom.

The Scout on his speeder bike will fire at Stone and then move to his left.

Shot at Stone: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

He will end in square X20

The four Stormtroopers can't see Toby or Kess so the make a few movement adjustments and fire at Allerick, Alistair, Stone, and Colvin.

ST @ Allerick:1d20 ⇒ 3

PS - You have all been posting diligently and I appreciate it very much. However, in order to keep the pace during combat situations, I will DMPC anyone not posting within 48 hours - NOT counting weekends.

I hope you have a great vacation! I appreciate the occasional DMPC to keep things moving; it is one of the best workarounds for the main pitfall of PbP.

Stone fires off a shot but the scout jukes his sled and the shot bounces off of the armor plating.


I blame the kybuck! It shifted and spoiled the shot!

Colvin strikes the scout in the leg and it richochets off into the repulsor engine, sending black smoke in huge tendrils behind the vehicle.

The scout is obviously in pain as the vehicle wobbles but it is sporadically still moving foward, intent on striking someone with its deadly cannon.

Alistair urges his mount forward once again until he gets close enough to the scout trooper before he fires off another shot.

I am going to be out of town -and away from a computer- for the next three days or four. Should be back around Monday or Tuesday. Kalderaan, you are of course free to DMPC Alistair as you like. :-)


Sorry. Had grad school entrance interview, and a job interview.

Peeking out from behind cover, Kess makes a mental note to stay on her own feet next time she plans to attack a stormtrooper outpost. At least that way I know which way I'm going, she though wryly. Urging her mount out from cover, Kess draws her blaster, and urges her shot to make contact.

Attack roll, with Force Point: 1d20 - 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) - 1 + (2) = 6
Damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) + 1 = 11


Allerick will shoot back at the Stormie who keeps trying to shoot him. Fair's fair after all.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 3d4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) + 1 = 8


I think I just got lost with the map. I was looking at it like a spreadsheet and in that way the double letters are quite far apart.

Toby keeps himself hidden out of sight for the moment, scrambling to use a medpac to patch up the bad wound he took, calling towards the others. [b]"No one else has a hole this big in them, do they?"[b]

Taking 10 on the Treat injury check and I'll heal 13 which will put me back up to 20hp.


The Scout on his speeder bike will speed ahead and then turn a fantastic turn, heading directly back at the party. He fires a deadly salvo of plasma right at Colvin.

Shot at Colvin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

He will end in square Y13.
