Keeping tabs on expendable items

Does a GM have to do anything to keep tabs on what expendable items are used by players during a scenario? How many scrolls are used, what potions are imbibed, how many charges expended from wands, etc? I would trust my regular home group to be honest in their bookkeeping, but we are running our first large public event this weekend, and I don't know what is expected. Should it be noted on the cronicle sheet, like money spend during the scenario?

The Society is on the honor system for things not calculated on the chronicle sheets. I would hope that players mark off their purchased expendables as they are used.

I always note expendables like alchemical items, potions and scrolls on my Chronicle sheet. If I buy multiples I draw boxes next to the purchase and fill in the boxes as I use up the item. I always tell my players that anything bought after initial character creation should be documented on the appropriate Chronicle. There's nothing preventing the player from writing on the back of the sheet if they can't fit it all in the "Items Bought/Conditions Cleared" box.
