And now with a top of the page I didn't really want, I will get back to work. I'll be back later.

Oh well, maybe some other time.

Bummed for ya, bro.

My meeting about returning to the engineering/development team went about like I expected. She told me that there were 3 scenarios, and they were all "bad": I get to return to my old team and I will not be allowed to do any work with my current team and my current team would completely lose the position (I doubt it would be that extreme), someone will get fired from my old team to make room for me (again, extreme, but I wouldn't put it past this company), or I won't get to move at all. I did imply there was a 4th option. :)

She also told me that because she "fought" for me to get on the current team, it's going to look bad for her that I want to return to my old team. Oh, and, the situation on my old team is going to get way worse in the near future.

We'll see what happens. I'm supposed to meet with her boss to discuss it, before I try to meet with the director of engineering.

Are you sure we don't have the same boss? sheesh

*sigh* This week is crap.

My partner just found out last night he didn't pass one of his New York State teaching certification exams (the subject area one) and may be completely screwed because of it. He knows the content a lot better than some of the people that passed, but he was horribly sick at the time, and who knows what that did to his concentration. The hoops they make people jump through in this state is really ridiculous.

Then he found out this morning he has a degenerative cornea condition. If it stays the way it is, he will simply have to live with the blurred vision in one eye, because he wouldn't qualify for surgery. If it gets worse, he will need a cornea transplant. Talk about two rosey scenarios...

Double drag, but his eye is more important than the irritation of retaking. Assuming he can retake the test?

I have a section of sight in my right eye that's blurred complements of glaucoma. Thankfully it's not the full eye. Sorry.

He can retake the test, but it might not be in time for him to be certified by September of this year.

He had glaucoma as an infant, and surgery to correct it. The cornea specialist thinks there is a small chance the scar tissue has contributed to his current condition, but thinks there is a much greater chance that the main contributing factor (of all the crazy things) was the use of forceps when he was being delivered as an infant. Apparently they create pressure on the temples and eyes, and can cause this exact problem much later in life. Weird.

Hmm, CH and Taig having crap days. Sorry guys. I am hoping for a better after noon, evening , and night for you guys.
My day is typical. Stuff to recieve and find homes for. Nothing exciting. Boss is hosting a swinger's convention this weekend he won't let me help with. Not sure if he thinks I will be nosy and tell what happens or if I will wanna party...both unreasonable options in his mind. :D

I wouldn't say its cartoony, but more video-gamey.

Secrilege!

How dare you say such a thing!

:)

I love the decrease of pressure on me!

Thing: It's not allowed!!!

This is probably a no-brainer question, but I will ask it anyway...

Looking through the PF products, some say PFRPG and some have (OGL). Are the latter the ones published before Paizo bought the full usage of the game system and published the PFRPG rulebook?

What is not allowed?

Saying that 4th edition is like a video game or arguing over Fourth edition in general?

3.5 products either say 3.5 or OGL, PFRPG indicates the Pathfinder rules.

You may only say good things about 4e!

Basically.

Also, if you want to argue about 4e, go to the 4e forum. It doesn't even matter if the thread's related to what you want to argue about, just do it anyway! (Who, me, bitter?)

Yeah... all the people who really care play that song at every opportunity. It was played at a public school where I taught by an assistant principal at a school assembly. I asked if theists would get equal time to present their side in an assembly. Hah.

Emperor7's getting out and enjoying himself, and not being rushed to the hospital for Exploding Brains Syndrome (I'm still working on technical terms.) I'm happy about that.

Also, people should enjoy the Half-Price Book sale this week. Coupons for everyone!

Oh, that just makes me realize that last week sucked and I couldn't get to a Half-Price Book store.

Thanks, Mairkurion.

OGL stuff is usually older. PFRPS stuff is set up for the PF game.

LOL. Priceless. We had to sing it when I was in choir back in high school...and junior high...I didn't have to sing it in elementary school, but my sisters did. I mean, wtf? As I've said all along, have any of you people actually bothered to listen to the lyrics to this song??? And then I looked around and realized that no, in fact that would have required actually using brain power. :/

Heh. It was my mom's "Senior song" in high school (class of '71 or '72, I think). She went to a Catholic School too. She said much the same thing... clearly the nuns hadn't paid close attention to the lyrics.

Why don't I say what everybody's thinking? Lennon was a commie bastard. ;)
