Doctor, doctor give me the news,

Let's say this twinkie represents the regular ghost post readings in this thread. According to this morning's readings, it would be 35 feet long weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

You two are great! :)

I've been better, that's for sure, but life seems to be settling down somewhat.

Tomorrow, I will be letting my current boss know I want to go back to my old job. It should be interesting, but I'm gonna try to be positive when I meet with her.

Hellz yeah! I love to sneak up on a group of enemy, then without warning drop it into VATS and lay waste to them using Vengence or Eugene. Their heads make such nice popping noises when they 'splode. :D

Well I only did one paper....or my part or a team effort paper. But I think the effort was awesome and will be worth a 10% loss from tomorrows much easier topic.

My part of team effort.

Spoiler:
Values and Ethics can be directly linked to success or failure in a career. “Defined most broadly, values are the criteria individuals or groups use to define and rank practically anything as relatively good or bad.” (2001). In World of Sociology, Gale.) In any career you have a code to follow, a set of spoken or unspoken rules that comes with the job. In the medical field doctors are required to take an oath to their patients, politicians to their constituents, and teachers to their students. When you keep values and ethics as a high priority you succeed, when you give them up you fail, either yourself, or those you serve.
Dr. Jacob "Jay" Katz (October 20, 1922 – November 17, 2008) was an American physician and Yale Law School professor. He was dedicated to focusing and educating on complicated concerns of medical ethics and further ethical quandaries concerning ethics, law, medicine and psychology. From 1949 when he was awarded his Doctorate of Medicine Degree until 1996 when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration put into practice changes that permitted doctors to carry out medical studies on patients lacking their approval in particular circumstances; where the patient has a life-threatening circumstance and are therefore unable to offer approval, Katz had been in the fight for medical ethics. He, in this case, maintained that these changes desecrated the Nuremberg Code passed in response to Nazi human experimentation performed on unknowing prisoners during World War II. He remarked that "here we are making exceptions" to the first sentence of the Code's first point, which states that "The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. (New Perspectives on Emergency Room Research, Baruch A. Brody. The Hastings Center Report, Vol. 27, No. 1 (Jan. - Feb., 1997). Dr Katz, doctor and author, was successful in his endeavors thanks to his reliance on his ethics and values.
In the filings in Blake J Robbins v Lower Merion School District (PA) is an example of unethical behavior on the schools part. According to the lawsuit all laptops given to the students in the Philadelphia community have webcams that can be secretly turned on by the schools' administrators, and that they have used this capability to observe students and their families. Whether the intentions were just or not this violates the students and families right to privacy. This is also very scary from a parent’s point of view. A few students have admitted to being nude in the presence of the laptop. (http://safekids.com/robbins17) This unethical behavior compromises the integrity of the school. It is also a breach of trust between educator and student. Actions such as this suffer repercussions far beyond a law suit.

Looks good, Solnes!

I plan to go in with the argument that I liked doing the work in the old job and I miss it. That way I don't have to go into all the things I hate about the current situation. I have my lovely wife to thank for that tactic. I am prepared to discuss the things I don't like if it comes to that, though.

I'm fading fast guys, I'm gonna have to bail on ya'll.

Good night all, and Taig, good to see ya back buddy.

I'm going to be running a game for session 3 and session 6. Don't worry, I'll make sure I tell you guys when sign up time comes along. I'd like to run a PFS game for y'all. :)

Thanks. :D The group has to write a team paper on Ethics and Values and how they help to succeed or fail. I was supposed to come up with two examples of such. I hope I don't let them down. I feel teh content is informative and well written, but I have been wrong before.

I sure hope you don't have to go into all that. And that she just sees that you were a much happier employee before. Happy employees are productive ones. :D

Ok guys. I too am fading. Too much research done. I hope you all have a wonderful night. Taig! So glad I finally got to catch you for a bit. I am crossing fingers and saying prayers that tomorrow goes well for you.
E7, have to take a rain check on that drink.

I'm gonna hit the hay too. I'm still catching up on sleep.

I plan on not dying until I'm caught up.

I'm a little surprised when I find people here that are older than I am. (I turned 40 last year. Not really that old, but compared to a lot of people here...)

Where do you hail from? Just trying to keep mental notes of where people are in case I'm ever in the area. I've had lunch with Sebastian a few times and that's always fun. And a couple of posters are from here (Colorado Springs) that I've met up with -- like Bitter Thorn. Putting real faces to fake names is (usually) fun for me.

A Facebook account to link up and friend to does lots of wonders. ;)
