I never thought I'd miss the Lutherans this much.
You know who else tried to kill off a whole religious group?
Actually, I don't know. I was hoping someone could tell me.
Hey now.

For some reason the electronics shop at NNSY was given the job of stress releif/heat stress. We (electronics) operate the machines that bring the metals being joined to a high and equal temperature so that they can be welded. Sometimes for shafts and sometimes for boilers. We also operate the machines for expanding couplings to be fit on shafts when props are put back on the subs and for placing sleeves over shafts being worked on in the machine shop. But now I calibrate equipment used for measuring radiation.
Aah, you work at NNSY. Cool! I work at NSWCCD in Philly.

Explain for us Midwesterners who have no clue what you are talking about.

Actually, there were several groups and individuals who were guilty of this.

Cool.
Things are a little stiff at NNSY because the commander just got relieved due to a loss in faith in his ability to command. :(

Other then a few cults who ended themselves and an emperor or two who tried to kill off groups he did not agree with. I am ignorant of another group actually accomplishing it.

Norfolk Naval Shipyard. However, it is not in Norfolk but is in Portsmouth, one of many cities in the Hampton Roads area. The definition of a road being something like a place where ships pulled into and is a term dating back hundreds of years.

It is in Philly but you will have to ask AZ about it.

I don't think anyone ever actually accomplished it, per se. China and Japan have some (ancient) history of eradicating non-state religions. Again, to your emperor point...

It depends on which Portsmouth you are speaking of. However, I think they are all connected in some way such as through Hell. :)

Oh I think we accomplished it very well, at least once. Not to mention several smaller groups who died off, with the exception of neo revivals.

I enjoyed Firefly, but that was more to the cast's credit than his. He's got a way with some clever dialogue, but the rest of his stuff is meh.
meh... Buffy was OK. Angel was where all the good humour went.
Firefly was awesome... Brown Coats Forever!
Dollhouse was quite interesting too.
It's sad that his later shows didn't really get the chance to come into their own. They were just done introducing everything and never really got to expand on their storylines. :(
I've watched none of those programs. Just Serenity, the movie. That's it.

Mairkurion, I saw the Mouthy Upstart story when I flipped through the Wayfinder at PaizoCon and figured it wasn't a coincidence. I didn't realize it was someone's attempt at a broadsheet. :S
When I first saw the PFC story, I thought it was just a mere amusing coincidence when I pointed it out to the Prof. Now that I know otherwise; that's not cool. I'm waiting for the Monkey's review.
Which reminds me, I need to throw that into my d/l's on here.

I liked Buffy more than Angel. Buffy started kinda, 'meh' and steadily got better (with a few stumbles). Angel started strong then started to bomb after a couple seasons, only getting REALLY good in the last 4 or 5 episodes.
