I did buy it right before Christmas, but then my hunny got me Dragon Age and it was all over. I lost intrest in SO and eventually sold it.
It's not so much that I'm pissed about the game, it's just not a Final Fantasy. If it was another type of game, I wouldn't have bought it. Does that make sense?
Just, some of the normal trappings aren't there. I can't make uber-bassa$$ characters until the game is over and I can do sidequests.

I have ONE character that can cast Haste and if you don't have Haste for EVERY BATTLE, you will die. Irritating.

St. Louis has a lot of Dutch, German, French, and (of all things) Bosnians and Serbs. I think that's pretty neat actually.I'm having those nights where, just as you're drifting off, you suddenly start awake thinking that you're dying instead of dozing. Not fun.
OTOH, we found a new place that serves GYROS! And pretty good ones, despite the cuke sauce being too thick for my taste. It should be yogurt-y, not ricotta-y. But overall, it was good. Haven't had gyros for years and years. I think the thing I miss most about Chicago is the quality, variety, and ethnicity of the food compared to here!
