OTOH, my partner got to play scared little sales clerk and I got to be Big Bad Manager, so that was fun.

So what do we, as fellow non-believers, have left to turn to?

Do you do that after hours, too? :P

People always misconstrue the word partner.

Not with my business partner. Our boyfriends would object. Or they would want to watch, which is seriously creepy.

I'm good, thanks.

So how did you two meet, anyway? I doubt one was working for the other when it all began, right?

Long story...

Short version, "the Partner" introduced the two of us. We had both just left our pasts behind (won't go into it), met when we moved in with our friend who had some rooms to spare, and the rest is history. That was five years ago, they started the business about two years ago.

So, you guys are liviing in a Three's Company situation and you're Jack Tripper? ;)

Liberty's Edge

Not really, we bought the house about four years ago and now live with our two dogs.

And two birds. I can't believe you forgot the birds, SP!

And "Jack Tripper?" Seriously? What kind of name is that?

Jack Tripper?

Jack T. Ripper... with a bunch of single gals...

I wonder if there is some sort of tongue in cheek there that I am missing.

Oh, the birds. They're mostly just annoying. Peep this, Peep that, screech SCREECH SCREECH

Interesting observation there...never thought of that before. <insert twilight zone music>

Hmmm... have you seen the "PECK PECK PECK" thread, perchance? ;)

I think your post got eaten, but I see it on the side.

We've got a Border Collie-Shepherd mix and a Black Lab-White Shepherd mix.

*sigh*

I'm bored, tired, and bummed all at the same time. Computer Brain Power Cells are on mimimum. Bleh.

[rant] On top of the blasted health crisis, the engine blew on the runabout car we had for my sons to use. I can't wait for the young adult sons to take these matters in their own hands. Lending a car while I'm laid up is fine, but providing one long-term is tiresome. Free loading bums! Then my 19 yo got into an argument with my daughter and puched a door. It will fall to me to patch it. *sigh* I've raised a couple of loafs. [/end rant]

Not that it isn't any of my business, but do your boys work?

Awright folks. I'm off for now. Here's hoping this weekend is a relatively quiet one, because next saturday is going to be a killer with the second job- THE BLACK PARTY is coming....

So long for now. May pop in over the weekend to make inane comments and update on any adventures that occur.

And thanks for the props, Lynora. I'm starting to feel like Cyril from Archer in terms of taking care of bureaucracy. ;-)

Sorry to hear it. Convalescence is so tedious, E7. And you don't need that other stuff right now. Hang in there!

Yep, the 21 yo works at Guitar Center but the 19 yo's primary job is college. He works really part time, but at least always tries to get more hours. The 21 yr old is my grumble source.

Evening.

What should Treppa and I have for dinner. You've got 10 minutes to convince us before we have to leave work.

GO!

Hmm, hard to do when I don't know your tastes, but here goes:

Chicken and veg, preferably as a plate meal, but if you are in a hurry a chicken cutlet sub always works.

Soup: An underrated meal. ALternatively chowder. Corn is a good choice if you dont live close enough to the ocean to get good clam chowder.

Grilled cheese. A comfort food of epic proportions.

Ramen: Who doesn't like Ramen noodles?

Meat. Meat is good.

Yummmmm....

Time is up.

Treppa seems to like the Chicken Cutlet sub idea, so we'll probably go that route. Thanks Patrick and E7! :D

Mmmmm, grilled cheese and tomato soup. <WEG>

Liberty's Edge

Oh, change your mind on me online now eh?

Thanks deary.

I am assembling picture frames while running a high fever. Something tells me I'm gonna realize later why this was a bad idea...

But I finally get to put up the pictures that I bought last summer at GenCon. Yay. :)

Well, as soon as I get the frames all assembled.

Gratz Lyn! What did you get? I just bought a Foamy the Squirrel* line art drawing.

EDIT: Though that does suck about the high fever :(

*Note: Going to that site is not technically NSFW, but can lead to cartoons that will definitely be NSFW. Just sayin'.

That's cool, Patrick. :)

I got three Nene Thomas prints. I'm a sucker for her artwork. There's one in particular titled 'The Prophecy' that reminds me of Naridre. Granted it would have to be an alternate universe Nari but still. :)

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

Ugh...

Violently ill all night Thursday and then recovering/feeling like a bus ran over me all day Friday. :(

So I'm afraifd if anyone left me any messages I'm not going back to read them as I'm still not 100% (but at least I actually feel like getting on the computer today, which is something I didn't yesterday).

Sorry to hear that Flash. I am just beginning an ordeal with some sort of stomach bug and it is not fun at all. Hopefully it wont be as bad as yours :(

Oh, that's awful. I'm so sorry that you've been sick too. We've had a nasty stomach bug going around here. I had to go pick up Bryce at school partway through the day because he came down with it this afternoon.

Anyways, I hope you're feeling better soon.

LOL, yeah the face and hair look right, but the sword and gear are not quite Nari's style.

lol. Yeah, I know what you mean. If I'm going to put up a piece of art that I'm going to look at day after day, well, having it be a picture of a hot woman is a good thing. ;)

Yeah, I kind of think of it as what she would have been like if her father had dropped dead when she was an infant. Or been less of a sadist, take your pick. :)

Yeah I ran a trippy game when I was a teenager that featured a story arc where the characters skipped to alernate timestreams and met different versions of themselves. It was interesting to say the least.
