Taig, you're still at work or did you escape the IT jungle for the day?

Sweet! When you have a spare moment, I got something on FB that could use your expertise visual.

Employment? BWAHAHAHAHAAhahaaha.a....*cough*....

ahem.

Until this past January, I was in banking operations as a business analyst and/or supervisor for almsot 11 years.

Swarm, nocturnal. They creep up on unsuspecting prey and leave behind only a bloodless husk. Remember that the next time your PC decides it's ok to sleep in the dungeon. ;)

I take it, not by your choice? We've had a serious hiring freeze for a little over a year now. It's been rough for some departments. The low interest rates are killing financial institutions.

The Exchange

Yes it does figure that I would respond first to a fantasy pest question. :/

Taig, sorry to hear you're down buddy, but just think not much longer and you'll be here. We have so many strip clubs to hit! ;)

Hmm...the Dallas Socratic Society is hosting a lecture tonight on the philosophical question of establishing (or not) identity between the God of Christians and the God of Islam. I may go to that.

Hi guys.

Taig! *Hugs* I am sorry you are feeling so badly. You are a wonderfully sweet caring individual who works hard for his family. That is admirable. (just thought you should know)

B!*+*es suck. Had 4 strippers come in and jack 8 expensive ass outfits today...I hate thieves.

Mairk...nope, she is counting every word. I have been in her class a week and I am starting to think I need a class change. No matter how factual or relevant my response is..if it is under 200 words she marks it Unsubstantial. Hell i don't think she reads the s#&#.

Definitely not by choice. They've been heavy handed on trying to dismiss people w/o having to pay severance. They got me for ... wait for it ... Internet access. I pretty much was here (but nowhere as much as I am now), MSNBC, various news organizations, etc. Didn't have any issues with productivity or getting projects done. It all came down to being the time for annual reviews, I made more than my peers, and I was on a dead end project. They could have fought me getting unemployment, but probably decided against it as I would have gotten an attorney and argued that I never received any prior verbal / written / final warning.

Some part of me isn't sure whether to return to the financial industry. I confess the whole TARP thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

Got it on video and/or can you identify them? Or is it a total loss?

Do you tag merch and have those detector thingies at the doorways?

I'm really sorry to hear about the thefts. That utterly sucks. I hope you're not going to be held accountable for them. :S

I think it has more to do with I can't post at work and CH has better things to do once he gets off work. :(

If studying for me GRE counts as "better things to do"...

Pfft, FORTRAN rocks! COBOL sux. APL stinks. LISP is pretentious. Pascal is OK as long as strict variable typing isn't enforced. Assembler rules.

Someone, cut off her meds! Quick!

Sometimes, right now our table is the resting place for a variety of projects I have yet to get started on. :/

Heh. Mine's a storage for books, mail, coupons, bottled water to spray at a misbehaving animal, and an occasional cat or two.
