Mmmm....coffee. One more cup and I'll be approaching light speed.

One more cup and I'll be approaching consciousness...

Crawls out of the woodwork GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY! I was away for a bit handling some family business

Spoiler:
Mom became catholic for some strange reason and was accepted into the faith on Saturday. I spent the bulk of Sunday food shopping and at my godmother's house celebrating Mom's new faith and devouring everything she made, including spiced ham, shrimp pasta, deviled eggs, chicken breast, black rice, everything salad, vegetarian meatballs, regular lasagna, ox tails, some type of meat dish, and about a quart and a half of Bailey's, Molly's, cremas, and other creamy versions of alochol with chocolate cake for dessert. It wasn't all fun and games as my wife had an awful period this same weekend, and is still quite nauseous(although she had no problem attacking me, she had issues with casting spells, concentrating on spells, and taking that single action per round). In other news, I am still practicing shaving with my practice straight razor and gave myself a few beautiful gashes around the sideburns. Washing my face with cold water afterwards was a painful, painful mistake. However, I did also shave off my goatee(my chin was complaining of the lack of oxygen and sunlight), and few have noticed. I'd show pics, but I don't have any before pics and I lack Facebook, being a neo-luddite. As we speak I'm preparing for a day full of office work as it is the start of another calendar quarter and during my day job I am responsible for attendance. The night job has been going well, and despite a late start on Saturday's shift, it was the most fun I've had with this job in some time. But enough rambling here, back to the regularly scheduled post!
. I'm looking forward to my week chockful of D&D/Pathfinder as I have the semi-weekly Rise of the Runelords game on Thursday, the Ptolus game on Saturday and the Darklight Sisterhood GIRLS ONLY game on Sunday. I'm also working on an addendum for Masterwork Weapons to post in the same thread I posted on Masterwork Armor and Shields. I'm also trying to get Neverwinter Nights to work on my wife's computer, but god...that is a hassle. Bioware really dropped the ball on some long-term compatibility/cd key issues, despite Atari's hand in it. Oh, and if any were interested, the Cloak and Dagger one-shot and Gotham City Sirens were last week's winners in terms of comics, far and away. But I think that's enough rambling for now. I gotta catch up on stuff aroundabouts.

Yay, more Fun Time for Badger in H-town.

H-Town? There's a TOWN I can retire to now?

Oh, bad news Mairkurion- I didn't get a chance to find that book I was telling you about despite being at my godmother's house for Easter. I will check again sometime in the future.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Wow! It was a little while since I looked at it. Not sure what I think about their picture selection for your beastie, though. :P

C'mon, FHDM. I broke the grip on my neo-luddite ways and caved in after Xmas; you can do it. =)

I hope there was cannibalism involved.

I had a nice weekend. The weather was so good, we pretty much stayed outside as much as possible. Went to Letchworth Park on Saturday, with all its hiking trails and gorges and so on. A very nice weekend overall.

Yes, and not far from where I live.

Welcome back, Crimson Jester!

Sorry your morning is not starting off well, Moorluck.

We're back from Tennessee. The drive back was much easier yesterday than it was on Friday. We stopped at Perkins for Easter lunch. I crashed when I got back home.

In about 30 hours, I'll be on a plane to Houston.

From this point forward to be known as HoustonBaby's Hometown.

I am hoping my visit to HoustonBaby's Hometown is better this time around. I might actually see something other than my hotel room and a gas station.

Good luck. I love Houston and hope to tour it someday before I die.

Of course it will be better. HoustonBaby's living there now. ;)

I hear you on those hotel/work/hotel/airport/home trips. They really suck.

Well, the kid had a good Easter. He got to go to Build-a-Bear and make a camo bear that he dressed as a clone trooper, and then Sunday early afternoon since he slept until about noon, did the traditional egg hunt followed by eating himself sick with lots of candy. All his favs, peeps and jelly beans and cadbury eggs (one of the very few forms of chocolate he likes). And then we took him to see How to Train your Dragon. I loved it. It was a very entertaining movie. The kidlet thought it was just a little old for him and honestly he was probably right. Some of it got pretty intense for a six year old.

I've yet to eat a cadbury egg this year. :\

I hope they'll still be at the supermarket on Wednesday.

RPG Superstar 2012

Thanks, E7. In theory, the software I'm bringing this time will work a lot better.

Lynora, I'm glad you had a good Easter. My kids are too old to want to see How to Train Your Dragon. Oh well...

Because it's cold in your building?

We went through a period of time at work where the A/C and the heat would be running simultaneously, I guess to keep the temperature at a certain level. If one shut off, then the temperature would change drastically. One day we went from 59 degrees to 85.

Nope. There was an earthquake in the last 1 or 2 years that hit Cali pretty bad that didn't stop till it hit eastern AZ. We got whitecaps in our pool from it.

Morning all.

My wife took our older son to see How to Train Your Dragon. They both said that it was very good. Although my son was a little disappointed that it was NOTHING like the book he read about a year ago. The book series is very good and he has read pretty much everything by that author.

Talking to my 5 year old nephew yesterday, he was telling me everything he got for Easter. When he mentioned his chocolate bunny, I told him how much I liked them. He then told me he would save me a piece, and I even overheard him telling his father that they would send me a piece in the mail. So, if I come home one day to see ants attacking my mailbox, I'll know what's in there.

My half brother (8 years old) got a video game for Easter. WTF? Did the Easter Bunny have to up his game to compete with Santa or something? What is the world coming to?

Scarab Sages

Yeah, this is the same nephew who went into a Walgreens store with his father and discovered one of those camera set-ups that shows your image on the nearby TV. Next thing my brother hears is "Hey daddy! Look at my butt." and turns around to find the kid shaking his butt in front of the camera so that he can see it on said TV.

Yep. Gone are the days when candy was the only gift. My same nephew mentioned above also got at least one transformer, along with some other toys.

When were those days? I always got some small present in my Easter basket along with the candy. Never anything really big, but a doll or a game or a book. It was a family tradition.

Maybe it was different for other folks, but when I was a kid all we ever got was a basket with some candy. As we got older, we didn't even get that. :(

The last Easter Gift I got was Star Trek IV (The Two-Disc Special Collector's Edition) when it came out in 2003.

I got an Easter basket every year until I left for college. There was less candy and more small presents every year. One year I got a basket of hair care products. Another year it was a coffee sampler and paperback books. But they stopped hiding it for me after I was twelve. So with that tradition of course I feel compelled to spoil my child. He likes Easter about as much as Christmas.
