Sorry but I was using your Inspire bonus throughout both fights, as you mentioned your ability early on. Looking back at it all, I don't believe Mhoy was using it. In retrospect it did affect at least one of my hits in the 2nd fight but did not affect the final victor in either fight. I should have checked on this sooner. ((looks sheepish)).

Oh, I figured that remained up. I have another talent where I can boost up your HP and your condition monitor a bit. I could have helped both fighters that way, but I was thinking to let things come to their natural finish instead.

Bravo gentlebeings.

Doh! You're right, I completely missed that. My fault! Still, fun 'saber battle!

Oh yea, very cool battle for sure, I like how it played out very close...except for Doctor Falomars crazy double crit!!!

Very cool how it ended with Mhoy's crit in the 2nd battle too!

Oh yes, the crits were nicely timed :)

I just wish I had my Wacom; that fight's just begging to be illustrated, and I've been looking for an excuse to start practicing again.

Moma finishes swapping tips with Mhoy after the battle. He gladly discusses the finer points with the rest of the team, including patting Narmin on the back for the well-placed pointers.

"I have a feeling we will all work very well together." offers Moma. "I have worked up both perspiration and an appetite. Perhaps we shall disperse to clean ourselves up and meet over dinner in an hour or two? Perhaps then we can share any information we have gathered on our mission."

With that Moma picks up his belongings and leaves to his chambers.

"Sounds good", says Corine, nodding her head in agreement. She then promptly exits the rec room in the direction of her quarters, reflecting on the differing personalities of her new comrades.

Narmin nods his head in agreement to the others. "That is a good plan, we may as well have some R&R before we arrive, and getting to know each other will always help us function as a better unit. I'll see you all for dinner."

I enjoy the fluff RP to let our characters get to know one another, but I suspect that we are ready whenever the DM wants to kick things off with our arrival, unless someone else has something else in particular they wanted to introduce to the others before our arrival.

Yea I'm ready to get to Bespin as well, although I did enjoy getting a chance to RP some, it was entertaining.

I am also ready whenever everyone else is. If we could possibly get a "Gather Information" check prior to our arrival, it would be helpful but I'm not sure how necessary it is.

Is the internet working? The posts must be getting lost in the vast void of cyberspace. ;)

The trip to Bespin is smooth. At the spaceport, Master Horth Kiturn is waiting for you. "I hope your trip was smooth," he says in the way of polite conversation. "Please come with me." He leads you to a small multipassanger airspeeder and gestures for you to get in.

Sorry, a sick wife and a couple of sick kids has made posting anything substantive difficult for the last few days.

"Master Kiturn! I bring you greetings and goodwill from Master H'rook. He speaks highly of you. May I introduce my comrades?" Mhoy will introduce each of the party in turn as they move quickly.

Corine nods in respect at Master Kiturn as Cordal introduces her. Stepping into the airspeeder, she looks around the busy spaceport inquisitively, somewhat taken aback by the sights and sounds around her. "Busy place", she murmurs to no one in particular.

Sorry to hear your family's sick, Dave, hope they feel better soon :)

Narmin will salute the Jedi politely when he sees him. "Greetings, Master Jedi. It will be a pleasure to serve with you."

He will follow after the Jedi, taking in the sights and sounds of the spaceport. He keeps his eyes open to try and spot any groups that look like they may have some knowledge of the darker side of the planet, just noting it mentally so he can come back and talk to them later when they are trying to gather some information.

M Human

I'm thinking you guys need some maps for your adventure and I've been wanting to work on some sci-fantasy lately. I recently did the Dawn of Defiance campaign and about 20 or so for the latest SW RPG books. Drop me a line.

"Greetings Master." offers Moma, bowing respectfully as he is introduced by Mhoy. After the introductions, Moma takes the Jedi Master's cue to move along quickly. He quickly enters the vehicle and does his best to take in the surroundings.

Offering a nod in greeting to Kiturn as he passes the jedi, Dokal silently enters the speeder. Zip follows close behind.

Once the speeder is loaded, Master Kiturn jumps behind the controls. With a nimble hand he takes the craft skyward and away from Cloud City. Recognizing a few puzzled looks he tells you, "Master Skywalker and Speaker Organa-Solo have asked me to brief you at Tibannopolis. Republic intelligence seems to think that there may be a security breach at Cloud City."

Looking out in amazement at the breath taking view of Bespin, Corine asks Master Kiturn, "What is Tibannopolis?"

How much would I know of Bespin and Tibannopolis, Dave? I guess I could do a knowledge check :)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

I was just about to ask the same as Corine. If my knowledges would give me any real info about the planet I would probably take this opportunity to brief the others(and show off a bit).

The Jedi in the group and Narmin'Tier would know that Tibinnopolis is an abandoned gas mining city that Luke Skywalker has converted into a training facility.

Moma nods at Master Kiturn as he relays the interesting information to the team. It would seem the security risk is quite extensive considering the pretenses in which they were brought to the facility.

He decides to speak only if spoken to until they arrive at a more secure area where it would be free to voice concern and to also ask more pointed questions.

Tobler stands in the back, quietly scanning his surroundings.

Narmin will nod to the Master and look at the others. "The Jedi have a training facility in Tibinnopolis. It is a good plan for us to go there to talk. We should be safe talking there."

Corine breathes easier at hearing that, looking noticably more comfortable then before. "Good", says Corine with a slight smirk, "Surprises make me...nervous."

With that she turns her head back to the window of the airspeeder, deep in thought as Cloud City fades into the horizon.

"Master, who are we worried about? Smugglers or something worse?"

Master Kiturn frowns. "There was another pirate attack while you were in transit. This one was different though, it as supported by a Star Destroyer and a squadren of advanced TIE fighters," he says. "The spooks on Courascant think that factions in the Imperial Remnent may be supporting the pirates."

"The Imperial Remnant? That makes sense. These pirates sounded a bit too organized and selective in their plunder to be purely interested in profit. But why would the Remnant choose now to become so brash?"

"Some of the Moffs have never agreed with an alliance with the Republic," Master Kiturn says. "If they could undermine the comeing treaty, it would be a big blow to the Republic, Emperor Kaien, and advance themselves at the same time."

Who is Emperor Kaien? Sorry I'm not familiar with him.

I'm guessing the guy who took over after Palpatine got tossed down a shaft.

Tobler continues to pay little attention to the discussion.

"The treaty is scheduled to be signed in three standard weeks.," Master Kiturn says.

Emperor Kaien is a throwaway character. I just added him for flavor and to establish that the Empire still has an Emperor.

"I can see that the disruption of the treaty, the Remnant activity, and the pirate attacks as possibly one and the same. Perhaps we can strike several mynocks with one saber by focusing on the pirates."

"Master Jedi, where is this treaty to be signed? If the pirates are trying to disrupt it, perhaps we could use that information to get a better idea of where their base is. If they are going to try and bring in a star destroyer then I doubt they will be stationed too far from where they will attempt an ambush. Also, is there a planned procession for the officials who intend to sign?"

Corine mulls over Master Kiturn's words for a moment and says "Is it obvious to all that the Moff's are involved with the pirates?"

"I agree with Corine. We must proceed with caution. In my life, I have always had greater success when I had the most information available to me. I believe that objective should be our primary mission." offers Moma as he mulls over all of the information everyone has offered.

Narmin nods his head as he listens to the others. "Indeed, let us have our briefing and discover what is already known and then gather as much information as we can. Recon and a proper tactical appraisal will give us the greatest odds of success with the least loss."

As you approach the Jedi training facility, the comlink sparks to life. "Mayday, mayday, we are under attack. Any nearby Republic forces please assist."

DM Dave wrote:

Upon hearing the mayday transmission, Corine gives a pessimistic chuckle. "So much for preparation...looks like it's trial by fire..."

Corine then begins to go through her pre-battle routine, checking her ammo, inspecting her weapons, and preparing for the upcoming confrontation. As she adjusts the sights on her scope, she asks "ETA on that transmission, Master Kiturn?"

Narmin quickly moves to unload his more militaristic gear from his pack, sliding his grenades onto his belt and checking his weapons. "Is the message coming from the base or elsewhere? Any idea what sort of terrain we might be dealing with?"

"It would seem that the Imperials have discovered our facility earlier than we might like!" Mhoy unclips his lightsaber, bows his head and begins a brief Jedi meditation to center himself for the coming battle. Under his breath you can hear him mutter: "There is no death, there is only the Force."
