The Jedi Master you are meeting is name Horth Kiturn. He will meet you at the spaceport.

He will be wearing a red rose. You will know him by the phrase "Of course the sky is also blue." The correct response is "What the heck is wrong with you, old man?!?"

"Anyone care for more brandy? Not quite Ithorian Mist, but it does in a pinch." muses Moma cordially.

"Come, Doctor. You are not so old! I am told by Master Skywalker that Master Yoda himself was a master duelist well into his later years. Besides, it will pass the time and allow us to better our skills. Even with the Force, it is always a good idea to have a back up!"

"Since you put it that way, of course I will spar. Since I am just a guest on this vessel and not assigned as their medical officer it will allow me to focus on other things."

Narmin will give a small bow toward Cordal as well, nodding his head in respect. "An honor to meet you as well, friend jedi. If it is alright, I would accompany you two. I would be interested to learn more of the skills the jedi possess, and perhaps in learning such abilities we will develop better functioning as a team."

Her curiosity peeked, Corine follows the two Jedi's to watch them duel, eager to see two Jedi in action.

Mhoy moves back into the rec room, clearing a large area in the center of the room. He draws and ignites his lightsaber, a simple hilt with a purple blade. He begins to move through some basic forms, while waiting for the good Doctor to arrive.

"So, our plan is to gather intelligence on these pirate attacks, then establish a second phase of the plan based upon the intelligence. Does that summarize?"

Following Mhoy into the rec room, Corine finds a nice comfortable corner and sits down, her knees up against her chest with her arms wrapped around them. As she leans back against the wall, she nods in confirmation as Mhoy speaks.

"Yes."

Moma tidies up the Medical Bay as everyone shuffles out on their way to the Rec Room to watch the sparring match. It's not everyday you get to see two jedi engaged in battle with lightsabers.

As he enters the Rec Room, Moma takes off his overcoat and lays it neatly on the ground. He is left wearing a simple tan jumpsuit. The pants of the suit stop just below the knees and he wears no boots - his feet are wide and gnarly, like roots of a tree.

"How do you propose we do this Mhoy? It's not like we have a stun setting on these things!" he queries Mhoy and then guffaws loudly at his own observation. He then draws the shiny cylinder at his belt and ignites a blade of green energy with a very characteristic "whoosh-hiss" sound. The energy of the blade thrums with power that can be both felt and seen by those nearby.

"I think simple sparring shouldn't require too much precaution. We've been doing this since we were chosen by the Jedi, after all."

I think if we just go through the motions without attempting to hurt each other, that ought to work, right? DM?

Zip joins the others in the rec room to observe the sparring match, followed soon after by its master. Dokal finds an open wall and settles in to watch the two jedi, Moma's brandy in hand.

Narmin follows after and watches as well, leaning against a wall and trying to take in the specifics on the sparring match. He knows little enough about jedi, but he has often payed a great deal of attention to all sort of combat. Once the sparing begins and he has a chance to see both of their stances, he will offer his own observations to try and help them each spot and correct their own openings.

Narmin has the born leader Talent, so he would be adding +1 insight bonus on your attack rolls.

I agree with your assessment. I suggest we mock-fight as if it were real. Zero HP equates to a yield. Damage Threshold will apply showing exertion, or in my case desperation. First spar will be no overt Force powers. The next spar will be with. I vote we start with Initiative to see who strikes first. Agreed?
